  1. You're not the only one..the latest patch completely porked DCS for me..it's a crashing bonanza..
  2. I get constant crashes with the most recent update...never had these before..it's either black screen or the game simply freezes and than I get the DCS Crash message..I'm gonna give it a break until a fix is available..
  3. Well...widespread or not..I noticed my DCS has crashed twice now..during one session..
  4. Good thing I checked this thread before updating..will stick to the previous version until the performance drop has been...addressed.
  5. I recently purchased a Jetpad - Jetseat from Andre's Shop and thought of sharing my thoughts on the product: https://andres.shop/jetpad-jetseat/24-80-vibrating-pad-simshaker-jetpad-fse.html#/11-color-black_chern/31-additional_software_included-simshaker_wings Ordering: I used DHL Express, it arrived in Croatia (from Russia, with love) in about 5-7 days, so, the delivery was top notch. Product/Packaging: The package was safely secured with multiple layers of tape (took me a while to remove it). The seat itself is really light, makes you wonder how light are those vibrating motors?? Setup: Setup was easy. I installed the software, plugged in the seat into USB and that was it. No hassle. You will, though, probably take some time to set the shaking levels and types of vibrations to suit your needs (for the specific aircraft). Is it worth the purchase? After several days of using it, I'd say yes. At first, I honestly thought it was just a gimmick but as I started using it in DCS, I realised it really adds another dimension to your flying. In an effort to keep the stress on the motors as low as possible (i.e. to make them last longer) I disabled certain vibrations, for example constant engine vibrations and afterburner (and to be honest, those don't really do much for me in terms of being actually useful). Where the Jetpad really shines is the vibrations for G-Forces, actually telling you when you're hitting higher G's without having to rely visually on the HUD information. It is even more useful in letting you know when your aircraft is about to stall. During the most recent landing on the carrier, in my F-18C, I was about to stall i.e. bleed too much energy on the approach. Now, without the Jetseat, I would usually get alarmed of the fact by hearing the warning tone (at that time the jet is usually already 'dropping' noticably). With Jetseat, I could actually FEEL the vibrations before the Betty starts bit**ing at me, which is really cool and which allows me to do the corrections on time, or at least, buy myself more time to get out of the stall and rebuild some of that lost energy without switcing to submarine mode. Not to mention it's kinda cool when you're landing and you feel the vibrations on the tourchdowns (or taxing down the runway) or when you're getting cat-launched from the carrier OR when your hook catches the wire. In all seriousness, I can't really pick "cons" for this product. It's affordable and it helps your flying in terms of giving you additional (physical) feedback. Of course, there are "better" alternatives but those are way more expensive (and I am not entirely sure they completely justify the price - unless you have a spare garage and room for a spinning centrifuge). If app. 200 Euros (and possible additional shipping expenses) are not too much for you to spend, and if you're a die-hard DCS simmer, I would recommend giving the Jetseat a try.
  6. I've been flying Hornet for too long...apparently, I've forgot how "lazy" the Viper's bracket is and that it takes a little while to get used to it. All works fine. Sorry for the confusion.
  7. I dont think that's the case. It appears the bracket is nonresponsive to input/speed changes.
  8. Since the last update, E-Bracket appears to get stuck and not react to pilot input (speed changes) during landing. Is this a bug or perhaps I'm doing something wrong? Before, once I lower landing gear, the E-Bracket would work just fine.
  9. AGM-65G (which the DCS encyclopedia claims has a 300 pounds warhead and is meant for hardened targets) causes a minor (app. 10%) damage to ships (in this case Molnyia class). Tried it several times. On the other hand, H variant of AGM-65 (with a smaller warhead) appears to cause more damage (app. 25%) to Monlniya.
  10. Where is the Radar OFF switch in the cockpit? I assume panel on the right?
  11. Nevermind, found the solution: https://imgur.com/a/R5PVlcq
  12. I'm trying to use these pedals for rudder and breaking, however, DCS does not appear to differentiate the G29 pedal axis from my Warthog HOTAS axis. Any way of fixing this? Thanks in advance.
  13. ^^Yeah, it misteriously dissapeared with the most recent patch...
  14. Yeah, I was like: "Hey, who would've guessed there are so many letters in the alphabet??" :D:D
  15. Not sure if this falls under "it's still an early access" issue or am I doing something wrong. Anyway, after calling inbound, and getting inside 3/4 of a mile, I still don't have the "call the ball" option in my radio menu so I have to call it by key bind. My LSO responds to the call but during the approach gives almost no feedback (my approaches are definatelly NOT that good :D). I tried the whole procedure several times and it's always the same: LSO is not very chatty..but is happy to give me a C grade afterwards! :) Any suggestions are welcome.
  16. I don't have a problem with SC being delayed. I am not sure though why did the team wait for the April 15th, the planned release date, to announce the delay? Epecially, as noted in the OP, when the team was aware of the "no go" issues on April 11th? I believe the delay should have been announced at least few days (or at least a day) earlier, not at the very day we were expecting the module to be released in early access. The way you handled the timing of the announcement, you sure, unneccessarily, if I may add, dissapointed a lot of people (though I know this was certainly not your intention).
  17. I hope it gets released tomorrow. If they planned on postponing it, I don't think they would wait until the release date to say to (for obvious reasons).
  18. VR performance loss here, as well. Even on simple missions with small amount of units.
  19. I can confirm this problem. My Viper always veers to the right during landing..which is problematic if you're air-braking (i.e. nose up) at the same time..
  20. ^^You're right, it's there. Apparently, I was looking under the wrong (Missiles) menu.. Thank you for the help! :)
  21. Just updated with the latest patch and I can't seem to find this weapon in the menu? And yes, I have "Ground Attack" role selected.
  22. Ok. this is how I do it: 1. I "designate" the target via TGP (i.e. "box" it) 2. I switch to Mav Display and uncage it 3. I switch back to TGP display and press TMS Up 4. The Mav seeker locks onto the TGP but it is still crossed and won't launch What am I doing wrong? :)
