  1. Thanks for the update. I hadn't tried it out in a few weeks so I wasn't sure if it was fixed or not. I'll wait for 2.5 and try again. EDIT: Doh! I just read your EDIT. I'll try reinstalling as you suggested.
  2. I'm sorry to resurrect this, but I finally got everything copied over to the right directory and can now see and select the missions manually. However, things are still not quite right. For example, I tried last night to play one of the familiarization missions and I couldn't do anything. There was no narration (if there should have been). My throttle was unresponsive. I was in a parking area next to some other F-5s. It was a busy scene and planes were taxiing and taking off, but I was just stuck. Is there supposed to be some instruction? I was hoping to get some use out of the two modules I bought. I'll try some of the other missions and see if they work. Thanks
  3. So for starters, when I click on the F-5E, I don't have anything in the Missions list; not even the <up one directory> folder icon. I browsed for them manually in Explorer as I couldn't find them browsing using the My Missions Module either. Turns out they (along with my DCS installation) are on my D: which is literally inaccessible using that file system navigator in DCS. So I ended up just copying my whole Mods folder to my C: so I could navigate to it. I was finally able to see and select the missions. :noexpression: Anyway, thanks. At least I can play them now. 4. So the opening mission, I get to hear about red flag and I'm glued to a C-130. Great, I'm expecting it to land and then I move on to the next mission. Except that the dumb plane just flies around in circles over and over and never lands and I get no instructions on how to proceed. I exit the mission and find no way to move on. I can only do that mission again. What am I doing wrong?
  5. The problem is that I don't have NTTR on steam which is listed as a requirement for the 2 campaigns, so I can't actually do that. I'm just going to see if I can refund the DLC campaigns and buy from ED.
  6. Uggh. I only checked the date on the aircraft. I'll see if I can refund only the dlc and purchase it directly from ED. I only play very casually, so dealing with all this is a bit foreign to me. Thanks
  7. I purchased the Steam version of the F-5E and added it to my DCS account using the Steam CD Key. It shows up in the non-steam version (2.2 Open Alpha) now. However, I also purchased 2 Campaigns for the F-5E and they DO NOT have CD Keys in Steam. How do I add these to my non-steam install? I checked the official faq related to steam keys on the DCS forums and there was no answer to this question. This whole process is a bit annoying and I think it's too late to refund the Steam version since I already activated it on the DCS website. Thanks
  8. Well, that sucks if it's true. I have a 5930k and a 980 right now. I have already ordered a 1080 (for DCS, but also for VR in general). I was really hoping it would make a difference, but I didn't think to check to see if my CPU was the bottleneck. 2.0 is basically unplayable on the Vive for me in any area that is populated. 1.5 is rough too if the settings are much above low. With the laundry list of planned features on their roadmap, I doubt very much we'll see many improvements anytime soon where VR is concerned. :(
  9. I would really like to see what changes you have made to your lua files. Also, if you have any screens or video, that would be great too.
  10. I keep seeing people post this video as a reference for "working" eyefinity in FC2. But it's not useful because the issues arise with three landscape monitors, not portrait. Three portrait monitors may as well be one huge screen since the aspect ratio is nearly the same. It's not even close with 3 monitors in lanscape mode. I've been holding off on purchasing FC2 until there is some proof that it actually works at a resolution like 5760x1200.
  11. Looks like the poll is full of optimists and realists.
  12. Not that I want to totally derail the thread, but how did you get that to run without a really narrow FOV? I can get it to work properly sometimes, but after I leave a game them menus are screwed up or during gameplay it will slow down and freeze. When this happens, the game becomes corrupted and I have to reinstall. It's very frustrating. I don't even play it any more. And one of the reasons I bought this fancy new computer was to play Lock On on three screens. Unfortunately, I can't check out my exact settings right now because I'm not at home on my desktop. What FOV are you running anyway (when it's in landscape)? Thanks
  13. That doesn't make sense to me. If it will support TripleHead2Go, then it should support Eyefinity. The game only cares what the resolution is, not the hardware driving it. Q: Will Flaming Cliffs 2.0 use the same "engine" as Black Shark? A: It would be more accurate to say that both Flaming Cliffs 2.0 and Black Shark use the same generation of The Fighter Collection Simulation Engine (TFCSE). This was done not only to improve the Flaming Cliffs series in many key areas, but to also allow multi-player compatibility between the two brand series. Given this, they share many things in common, including: • Map and airbases • Multiplayer and network code (sorry, no dedicated server yet) • Log Book • Encyclopedia • AI units and AI actions • Track file system • Options • Mission Editor • Campaign Editor • Modding openness • World lighting and shadowing • TripleHead2Go support • Force feedback implementation • Monitor resolution support
  14. Thanks! This video contains a lot of "oh, that makes sense" advice. I'm looking forward to trying some of this out.
