@Rodeo Yes, I’m waiting on a APC power surge protector and some smart plugs for the trackers. I should have everything installed and ready for the Wow !!! This weekend. As far as open box I was impressed by the quality and how light it was. It’s gonna take a couple more moves to fly with Aero as far as headphones and turning things on but I’m ready for the transition from to easy put on your headset and fly G2. Also waiting on my vroptician inserts which are out for delivery today. Thanks for asking

@dburne I'm gonna start cleaning up the Steam/Steamvr this weekend but what do you mean about " remnants of your WMR " ? I may still use my G2 for other things besides DCS, what are the remnants your speaking of.

Thanks Supmua for the guide. I see there are several different ways of running DCS and the Varjo Aero. I'll be going from a G2 to the Aero and should recieve the Aero sometimes next week. I appreciate your time and sharing this information.

Awesome Rodeo ! That makes my feel better now after purchasing everything for the transition to the Varjo. Total cost for this upgrade/investment $2890.00 that's everything , the Varjo Aero and 2 trackers ,the Steel series Artic Nova 7 headphones and the index controllers from steam. Hoping my rig can handle it for now. Thanks for the feedback Rodeo.

Really thinking about taking advantage of this sale and eat beans and weenies for a months. Trying to figure out if I want to upgrade my rig to a 13900K / 4090 or go ahead and get the Varjo. I'm definitely going with a rig that I can upgrade hardware as they come out can't do that with Alienware machines. But my main question is for the Varjo owners wearing glasses I use VRoption inserts for my G2 " their the best " so are ya'll using inserts or the mask for glasses that comes in the kit.

I’m finding at the moment that locked 55 fps is working great for me now if I go to a server like Egnimas I’ll lock to 45fps. Also I’m not using MR. Both setting work really well for me and my rig. The new 531.79 driver I’m finding is more stable less micro stutters then the last 2-3 drivers. The 531.29 is always my fall back driver.

G2 at 90Hz oxr4wmr custom render scale unchecked - prefer framerate over latency checked -
Oxrtk - override res. set to 2800-2800 wide as edmuss would say - CAS 30% - Frames locked to 55fps. Nvidia Driver 531.79
G2 at 60hz I use the same settings as SoH mentioned above.

Yeah 3600 is very low. Have you created a custom power setting for running DCS/games.

Not bad but man after adding 2 stations - 13900K and a 4090 that we’ll over 5-6K I get it that it’s the best and worth every cent but that would be a major upgrade for me. It needs a powerhouse of a rig to be satisfied for me at least.

Yup congested cities along with clouds = perf drop and stutters especially under 500ft.

The R3L has 2 MB plugs I think is for changing a TM board ? I remember seeing an extra connector in it maybe your hearing it move around in there.

Bought the map yesterday evening and for some reason it's not loading. Is there an issue with the download server ? Can't wait to fly around the pyramids and hopefully its VR friendly.
