  1. Thread: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=187823 Postings #14 and #24
  2. That is not correct. It was shown that one can see performance improvement if the mission is not run on a single host but as client-server. Somebody close to ED told that they are looking into it - trying to run the mission as client-server, but on one host.
  3. Looking at your log2.txt i see this: If i read the timestamps correctly, there is a gap of approx. 7 minutes. Members with more experience than me can probably tell what "KNEEBOARD/002-missionbriefing-002.lua" should be or where to find it?!
  4. Maybe the power limit is too high or the fan limit too low?
  5. After entering "ipconfig /flushdns" and clicking the "refresh" icon on the multiplayer screen in DCS the server list showed up.
  6. Dedicated Server war für 2016 angekündigt. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2659915&postcount=13
  7. There is a GeForce 375.95 HOTFIX driver, fixing the problem(s):
  8. There is a "Digital Combat Simulator: Black Shark" profile installed with every driver, pointing to a "dcs.exe" file. What is your in-game antialiasing setting? Edit: just saw it's 16xQ. Don't do that, set it to 4x. Modes explained: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/anti-aliasing-nvidia-geforce-amd-radeon,2868-4.html
  9. What version of Nvidia driver is installed? Can you post screenshots from the nvidia control panel for the global and DCS: Black Shark profile?
  10. Guru3D: http://www.guru3d.com/files-categories/videocards-overclocking-tweaking.html second file: NVIDIA Profile Inspector Download Version 2.1.2.0 On the download page, i recommend the second link labeled "(Author)", because it contains the newer version 2.12.
  11. Enabled in sim or control panel? Nvidia profile inspector shows more settings: Sync Smooth AFR behavior (on/off): "Smooth Vsync is a new technology that can reduce stutter when Vsync is enabled and SLI is active." Sync Tear Control (standard/adaptive): http://www.geforce.com/hardware/technology/adaptive-vsync/technology
  12. If others with identical systems run at higher fps it must be your settings?! I suggest to agree on one mission (like SU-25T free flight) flown to compare fps and it is surprising that nobody using Nvidia cards ever mentioned the pre-defined profile that is coming with their drivers. It is named "Digital Combat Simulator: Black Shark", but the executable is "dcs.exe", so i guess that profile is active?! Is "GeForce Experience" installed? I never installed it, because i distrust "automatically optimised pc settings for games". I use Nvidia Profile Inspector, delete pre-defined profiles and start from there. CPU (4770) usage 40% - yes, but that is leveled over 4 cores, one core 70 one 40 and the other about 25. GPU (980ti) usage 40-70%, resolution 2560x1440, 144Hz Gsync monitor, fps 70-144.
  13. Just run "dxdiag" and look at the output for your display. Shows the DirectX version.
  14. You can copy the "DCS world" folder to a disk, delete the folder from the SSD and copy it back when needed. That way you keep a copy - just in case. No need to deinstall yet.
  15. Not allowing each campaign to be stored in it's separate directory is a user-unfriendly concept. I have more than 340 elements in that campaign folder - just not manageable.
  16. Not sure if i understand you correctly. If you run the "Samsung SSD 840 EVO Performance Restoration Software" it will automatically update the firmware of the Samsung EVO and read/write the data on it. Problem is the decreasing read performance the older the files on disk are. Here's a link to tech mumbo: http://www.anandtech.com/show/8617/samsung-releases-firmware-update-to-fix-the-ssd-840-evo-read-performance-bug This update/fix has nothing to do with DCS or Windows updates.
  17. Just in case you own a Samsung EVO: http://www.samsung.com/global/business/semiconductor/minisite/SSD/global/html/support/downloads.html
  18. start 'regedit' and check HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Eagle Dynamics\<product> There are the products and some have a 'path' entry. I've changed these to point to the SSD copy.
  19. Yep, same here. No serial number in the module manager for FC3, Black Shark and UH-1H. It was a problem with registering the UH-1H module under a different account. Unbinding and restarting MP fixed it.
  20. Well, i was flying F4 multiplayer campaign over a 64 ISDN line back in 2001. Flanker multiplyer was rotten ugly. We experienced the 'Internal Flanker error' in 90% of our online missions (dogfight was better). Lomac online was a mess in the beginning, big warping all over the scenery, flying dogfight was mere impossible. It got better with the patches and matured with FC - but you still need a better connection than in F4:Allied Force campaign with same number of pilots. But that is all history now that BS will hit the disk sooner or later, so let's stay on topic. :)
  21. Just read all - it's not as simply as you want to make believe it is. Drop the idea that the campaign was the major culprit for bankruptcy. Following your simple logic ED must have been broken long ago, as overdue as their products are.
  22. Google for Kevin Klemmick and Microprose. Interview: http://www.frugalsworld.com/modules/zmagazine/article.php?articleid=96 Designer's notes (esp #6 on page 2): http://www.frugalsworld.com/modules/zmagazine/article.php?articleid=126&page=0 And from an interview with Gilman Louie: http://www.f4hq.com/default.php?page=article1&nr=1&id=563 " RazorBlade: Some people think that the big investments that were made to develop Falcon 4.0 were the reason of the financial problems of Microprose. Is that true? Chopstick: Not really. Looking back, I think it was a combination of factors. Product delays really hurt us. We had several big titles that were over a year late and a small company just cannot operate without regular hits. I also believe today that we made a poor decision of not pursuing the PC action and console market as a part of our product strategy so we were caught flat-footed when the market shifted on us."
