  1. Mouse view works in all modules including Huey. I know I had track IR aiming disabled because I do not have track IR, so I will have to enable that and see what happens.
  2. How to control door gunners with mouse? I have not been able to sight the door guns with my mouse. I have to use the <> ;/ keys to move the gun and then use Shft+ctrl+npad to move the gunner to line up with the sights. Obviously not efficient. Can barely do it while on the tarmac. Maybe I am missing something so I will go back and keep looking.
  3. My G940 is listed as Throttle, Rudder, Joystick I do not have a column for each axis of the joystick, rudder, and throttle. I have trim axis on my Joystick and throttle and they are not listed separate either. It must be the way the CH products commands are output or something. I thought CH was more "custom" than most of the "big name" hotas systems. The TMWH was designed specifically for A10C so it should be no surprise it works out of the box for that game. Sorry you are having frustrations. My biggest frustration is that sometimes my trim wheels are not picked up in the controls section so I have to use the drop down menu options and guess which one I need to assign.
  4. have you checked the mission planner? You may be able to change his markers or something. I have not been able to even land the huey yet so still on mission 1.
  5. Comanche has been mentioned many times already. Would love to see it for sure. Its my favorite helicopter as well. I would buy it multiple times to help get it produced. Or pledge $100 to a kickstarter project to get it going. Not sure what the difficulty is on making an AI backseat or front seat. They (AI) lock a target and ask for permission to fire. Click a button to approve fire request. Or the permission is given at the attack point to "fire at will".
  6. And how would you like them to produce a study sim of un-manufactured aircraft? Should they go ask the museums to fire up the comanche so they can get some sound recordings and see how the controls and other bits are effected when they stop working? They could make many guesses and come up with something similar to the original LOMAC I suppose. Not saying I would not love to fly a comanche, or some of the other experimentals but most of the more interesting ones are much older than the comanche and even getting semi accurate information would be difficult at best.
  7. Was something wrong with the engines on that poor F4? I dont remember them being that smokey. This is more representative of most videos I have seen. Or course this is in HD 240p.
  8. Right now you hover the mouse over a dial and use scroll wheel. At least that is how it works on my version.
  9. Your post included a few more words than mine as well. :) The comanche was the answer to a problem that was solved before it could be completed. Not completely sure what that question was anymore. Really wish it had come to fruition though. I think the Ah-64D negated the need for a stealth helicopter to fly out and designate targets. 7 billion dollars to make 2 prototypes is one of the pinnacles of government spending though.
  10. a canceled chopper is not likely on ANY development list.
  11. Get higher if your spiral is hitting the ground before getting to target. OP, do you miss all the time? 50% of the time? 10% of the time? What altitude are you at when firing? Are you on a dive approach or low altitude and horizontal? Do you have a trk?
  12. Isn't this how real pilots have to do all those functions? Look at a button and push it. I definitely want one of these when they come out. I was a bit nervous watching that video on the last page. Looks like if they don't offer some sort of scalability on the head movements, people will be smacking their faces into desks, walls, computer equipment and many other possible dangers.
  13. Loved how the convoy drove through the river in the beginning instead of the bridge right next to them. Awesome cockpits as well. Wish I had the skill to make something like that. Nice ending. You have to yield to the person to the right.
  14. cool video but after dogfight was not so great. Dont think I have ever read about a rolling scissors fight that alternated position on every cross though.
  15. Isnt one of the F22 crashes attributed to oxygen problems? I would think an oxygen system checkup is needed.
  16. Seriously, dude made his own coaxial helicotper??? Thats awesome. Love the simplicity but why not put some shock absorbing legs on it and mount the stick on the bottom with a simple linkage to the rotors. Not the most ergonomic design at this point. Dont even have a foot rest.
  17. http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1678985 I just received my shimian after a total of 3 days from order to doorstep for the amazing price of $335 shipped. It is 99.9999% perfect. I have one dead pixel in the lower left corner and I am 100% happy with my monitor. I bought from ta_planet for those interested. Damn, price keeps inching down. Should have waited another month maybe and they will be below $300 shipped. http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=320879998554#ht_8229wt_1164
  18. Damnit why did I come back to this forum after so long away. Now I need to get a new VC and BS2. That BS2 GA video shows improper technique for landing on ship. At 10 ft or so you cut power completely. Usually get so bent that it sticks to the ship perfectly. :)
  19. Great video, still hate the F/A 18. If the F14 was still heavily used in the HD era we could have had some great hero films created for it. I always thought the F14 had so little A/A engagements because no one wanted to get close to it because of the propaganda the US military "leaked" about the patriot missile effectiveness. That and the fact that we flooded the airways with Top Gun. No one wanted to get near an F14. Stop calling my favorite plane a turkey. Its a TOMCAT and will devour your roosters or hens or rhinos or anything else. Well maybe a raptor could take down the cat. :pilotfly: I joke.
  20. Interesting that Top Gear USA used a cobra in an episode and the Korean one also did. That was some spectacular flying by the cobra pilot.
  21. Well after watching the video I dont think unmanned AI flown planes are practical yet. Though I was impressed at how it kept trying to fly itself to safety. Of course that was 1995, so maybe today an iPhone app could use its better CPU performance to have successfully landed. :megalol:
  22. I did not mean anything. Just looked like pilot error to me due to the slow speed and low altitude, I figured he had pushed forward too far and did not have enough lift. Helicopter almost always blows up in BS. That was my main point of the comment. Also pretty sure as with any accident blame is not immediately placed on the correct party. I know I have heard excuses from people who cause accidents claiming a different scenario.
  23. Obviously the re-enactment did not have the same environment of the actual dogfight but how could the 109 not have a shot on the P51 when it was climbing on his 6?
  24. Nice, I thought you had it on pause when that clip started till I saw your target moving in your shkval. Nice hover. I can never get that stable.
  25. Hey there are no systems to have to model so I would think ED should have a pretty easy time cranking out some WW2 planes. I hope they have a mini map in the P51 like IL2 does though because with no GPS I can see some pretty unadventurous flights.
