Nope, target just needs to be in the ballpark of the radar azimuth as the antenna is what transmits the MDL, even with the radar off. It doesn’t really matter how the trackfile was created Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

It's supposed to be done via TDC depress and hold while you slew over the track, then release. The octagon should follow, that's a bug atm, but you will see SLAVE boxed. Sent from my moto g stylus 5G (2022) using Tapatalk

null@BIGNEWY This is incorrect, PM sent. If the radar dosen't see the target due to MLC for example, it will change the PRF to low.

Flight model/FCS is WIP, This is the correct OFP and if this doesn't change when we get an official update in the FM/system we'll need to push for a bug report.

RESET is supposed to revert track designations to the system priority order. If you have an L+S and DT2 set on tracks say 4 and 5 as they are ranked, RESET will drop those designations and the rank 1 track will be the L+S. If there is an STT that target will be the L+S. (Or FLIR autotrack if there is no radar STT) This also deselects EXP, RAID, BIAS, and restores the auto scale function. Sent from my moto g stylus 5G (2022) using Tapatalk

You can't undesignate coordinates from an IAM. If you are in TOO with a designation that data from the bomb is driving the designation, and by the logic you can't undesignate it. If you went to a new pylon without a target you would be able to. However, you can still just press TDC depress to redesignate updating the target.

The MIG can still turn inside a late slat Phantom? My resident SME (F-4E and F-16C bk 30 driver) mentioned that the F-4 with it's new slats was more maneuverable than the Viper. I know the Viper tried to optimised it's STR, but comparatively was it's one circle worse than a Fishbed?
