    I have worse ms response when I tab out DCS, but the gameplay is much smoother, I would say even playable. 

    Specs

    R5 2600

    RX580 8GB

    32GB 3200MHz

    Thanks for the quick answer! Motion reprojection has to be on Motion Vector or in Auto mode?

    Near to the ground if I look to the side I get terrible stutters.  If I Alt Tab but still look through my Reverb it's smooth but obviously you can't use any controls.

    The only way I have found to smooth it out all the time is to force DX11 in the Steam VR settings but the quality is reduced.

    Why would forcing DX11 cause the sim to run smoothly?

    How do you force DX11? I have the same issue, and would like to get rid of it, it makes DCS unplayable

    I've been further testing, and the issue is not the transmission fire, in case of a transmission fire it gets extinguished by the FPE. But, if you have a oil leak on the transmission, then you get the "fireball" that I was speaking about. Since oil is flamable (I think) I guess it cannot be extinguished by the extinguisher bottle/s

  5. I've been having this question for a while, why the RI-65 tells you "1" after a fire?

    In this trk, I have a transmission fire, and it says, "board" and "1" (two times) and "fire in the main transmission compartiment", then, the same sequence repeats, while the Mi8 is desintegrating mid-air. I get the transmission fire meaning, but I don't know what "board" and "1" means, any help?

     

    Also, why it appears to be impossible to extinguish the transmission fire? It instantly appear and in matter of 2 secons you are a fire ball going into the ground.

    @AlphaOneSix I know you know a lot of things of the Mi-8 (You fly the Mi-17, but I guess they are almost the same), could you help me with this two questions?

    What do you mean? On NAV mode, the aircraft will draw a course line on the HSD. You can even see them on Ramsay picture above

    As I said, DCS doesn't support those reflections, those would require RTX, and forget about it on DCS if you don't want to play at 1FPS

    This is the closest I could get to the photo you posted, It's not bad, but, of course, you cannot compare with real life, because in that photo you have the screen effect when you see a screen from the side, and also real time reflections, and in DCS we don't have that much effects. Basically, it would blow half the PCs that DCS is installed at

  10. The images from the JF-17 you are posting, are from the pre-launch photos, a LOT has been changed since it. Now it has reflections on the screen, and fog simulation and a lot of other things. I can promise you that the cockpit is not the same that in the photo, it's much better. 

  11. JF-17 uses the Link-17 datalink system, wich is only compatible with NATO protocols. IIRC the KJ-2000 uses the K-type protocole wich is not compatible with Link-17 datalink protocols.

    So, that's not a bug.

    The drop tanks might be, I didn't saw it, so check for mods or something.

    I'm getting CTD quite often when removing the pylons in multiplayer (saving weight for logistics).

    The game CTD's immediately after the ground crew call "rearming complete". Nothing in the log though.

     

    Weird, I don't have those issues. I will force a couple of rearms and see if it CTD in my PC

    There are some issues with rendering that has to be fixed by ED

On rearm page pylon 3, 4,5, and 6 were [X] indicating removed pylons I added phoenix missiles to 3, 4, 5, and 6 bat then decided to put sparrows on 5 and 6 with phoenix on 8b and 1b and sidewinders on 1a and 8a. After rearm the plane had phoenix rails on the underside with a sparrow loaded and is clipping through. I took a screen shot but did not save a track file since the mission was over 2 hours and this took place late in the mission not early. I have tried to reproduce this but so far I haven't been able I will keep trying so I can save a track file.

    That's due to the Sparrow loaded on an incorrect pylon
