  1. What settings do you proper Tomcat pilots use in the sim for dead zone etc? I have the VKB tomcat grip, curved extension, and base. I'm assuming for testing the Tomcat you use the same, or something similar. Would you care to share your settings? I'm asking mostly for mid-air refueling. I get her lined up, crawl closer, but without fail in the last couple feet to the basket everything goes completely wrong and I'm wondering if I need to change some settings, or if it's just a matter of practicing more. The smallest touches seem to result in ridiculous amounts of PIO. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  2. Just use the hand controllers, that's what they're for, to simulate hands. And they work great. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  3. Excuse the phrasing, I'm not perfect with the lingo, but in order for the autopilot to engage level flight, you have to be within 200 feet per minute climb or descend. If you're over that, it won't engage. It doesn't need to be trimmed like that, I can hold the stick to where she's stable, then pinky switch and she'll hold altitude. You can still roll gently without breaking the parameters. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  4. I use the VKB Tomcat grip with curved extension. Love it. No issues. Can reach everything perfectly. Make sure your stick is turned slightly to the left for comfort. And I use auto pilot in long stretches of level flight to and from the AO. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  5. Grab it, like a switch, then use the joystick on the controller left or right to turn the knob. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  6. Sure you can. Switch to white hot, or black hot, and it'll stand out like a sore thumb. Realistically, enemy forces would always put a SAM in a forest, not in the middle of a clearing. That's why infrared was added to the pods to begin with. Otherwise we could do everything with the TV setting (if this version of the pod even has that). People turn on labels, or dots, to help them find targets, so then trees don't matter anymore either. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  7. Yup! I didn't know each rack only needs one missile to be aligned on it, to align all 3. Saves some time. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  8. Point track will follow a moving target. Area track will lock onto a static object/area. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  9. I appreciate that. You know, wouldn't make a bad series on your channel, to show how the systems work. Definitely for me, visual learning has always definitely been easier than reading about things. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  10. We obviously don't know, being mere subsonic ground dwelling mortals [emoji1787] Do the FLCS and AOA limiter make it "unstallable"? Will it automatically level itself reducing its AOA limit to the point where it never stalls? Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  11. Yeah I didn't make that "1 knot above stall" comment lol. I just assumed that if landing speeds change on weight, so do stall speeds. P.S. fan of the channel. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  12. Of course not, I can only comment on how it feels in the game, and in the game it feels like it matters. I have a harder time keeping the aerobrake going with a heavier fuel load and/or stores than when she's light. So I would assume landing speeds change depending on how heavy she is. 13. That depends on weight. She's so small, loadout and fuel plays a huge part. Landing almost clean with 1000 lbs of fuel she touches down like a feather, but with 4000 lbs she'll clunk on the tarmac if you're not super careful. Not to mention if you're bringing back most of your stores. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  14. Pretty please [emoji16] Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  15. You already have the best module, the Tomcat. So fly that. It has a campaign, with another part coming, and you can pick up Cage the Bear which is another excellent campaign. When you want to fly something slower and uglier (lol) get the Hornet, but I'd get the F-16 instead. Apache is a no brainer, it'll be epic. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  16. You can remove it through the ground crew Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  17. My guess is with the patch next week Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  18. Is this coming in the next patch, and if so, could you give us a preview on how it will work? Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  19. The most fun way is to fly nap of the earth, pop up to 500 ft or so, and streak over the enemy runway with 12 snakeyes set at 500-700 feet spacing. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  20. Nope. Just click the trigger, 3 seconds later the missile drops. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  21. Yeah I don't hear a sound at the detent. I hear a bunch of clicks moving the levers, but nothing at the point of going into AB. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  22. There is no lever sound going from MIL into AB. there's random clicks you hear from moving the throttles, but nothing relating to a detent. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  23. Hey guys, I was just wondering if you could add a similar animation and sound to the throttle levers like the F-16 has. In the Viper, when you're about to engage AB, you see the lever tilt slightly to go over the detent and make a click sound. That makes it super easy to select MIL power if you don't have physical detents on your throttle quadrant. In the Tomcat, if I'm not mistaken, the pilot had to push the throttles left and then forward to engage AB. could you add that animation, and add a similar click noise from pushing the throttles against the AB detent? I listen for the click in the Viper and you hit MIL perfectly each time. Thank you! Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  24. That is awesome! Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  25. Is there a list of some sort that shows which bombs for which aircraft have the working penetration physics? Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
