  1. But if you set RPM to low the prop will go coarse and drag will be reduced.
  2. In game, sometimes, depending on the click sequence, it remains on. At least some versions ago. Possible a feature not a bug, to overcome the limitation of having "only one hand" (mouse pointer).

  4. +1 And besides, it has to be done for each and everyone of us Warthog users. If it's done at dev level, is done once, distributed and updated only when required.

  7. Question before installation. The guide talks about "default install folders for DCS and TS3". I have DCS 1.5 on my C drive, 2.0 on my E drive and TS on the E drive. The only thing I changed on the TS install path is drive C: for E: , is that change significant?, the rest of the folder structure and names is intact. Must I install Aries on C: or will it be fine on E:? Thanks EDIT: OK, disregard, I see that you can select where the folders are in the installer. Note to self, read the whole installation guide before posting on the forums....
  8. My problem is not with azimuth, but with elevation since there's no indication to where the antenna is pointing in the vertical plane, and the altitude of te target will not be displayyed until it is STT locked.
  9. The problem is, if I'm not mistaken, that if for whatever reason you lose the target, the antenna will return to your selected position instead of staying where it was and try to reacquire.

  11. About the RCS, I can understand that a larger RCS may hide a cold target, but not a flanking or hot one. Chaff will probably decelerate very rapidly presenting itself to a radar as a very different target than a plane. Still, if given enough ammount of chaff, a weapon system becomes useless, then why is it still fielded? I know that is not a scientific argument, but something doesn't make sense.
  12. Sure 4 must be better than 1, and 25 better than one, but is 25 actually 25 times better than one? If popping whatever number of chaff, reduces the pk of a salvo of missiles to 0, then what's the point of intercepting an aircraft and firing several very expensive missiles that can be spoofed easily with what I suppose is a very cheap countermeasure? Just stay home and don't even bother. Do pilots IRL go fighting knowing their missiles have absolutely no chance? As I said, I am no specialist, but I work with radars and they're pretty good at filtering what you don't want to see.
  13. Maybe the dice should be rolled against the "presence of chaff" around the defending aircraft and not the "amount of chaff released". I am no expert but I have a gut feel that in real life, having, let's say, 15 bundles of chaff in a certain piece of airspace should not be 15 times more effective than having 1. Today in game it is. Somebody with more knowledge about radar technology and physics may answer that, even without knowing the intricacies of how chaff work.

  15. I don't know, it's not crashing today... I thought I had find a pattern but not, even following my steps didn't happen now. If it happens again I will attach the whole logs. I have no mods, but I have exports for Tacview and A-10C CDU iOS app. Thank you guys for having a look at it.

  18. Same here, even with one P-51D being the only unit in the mission.
  19. I haven't flown much in it but I think in 2.0 in Nevada they look much better than in the Black Sea map. Hopefully when Black Sea gets ported to 2.0, the PAPI can be fixed.
  20. I understand that ATC in 1.5 and 2.0 is very early WIP. I wouldn't worry much about it right now.
  21. EAC not engaging might be another issue, like not having clicking nav on the CDU after alignment or not selecting EGI.
  22. Hi Moggel, at least you found a work around to start the engines. Sorry I insist with the key/axis assignments, since you say it works after you move the stick, check if in the axis assignments your stick is binded to the throttle axis. If it is, delete the assignment. I see there's a bug report opened by Aeger, maybe there's a bug after all.
  23. Have you checked the key assignments? They might be different in 2.0
