My favourite Phantom variant is the Royal Navy F-4K that we Brits had during the 70s!

Yeah as far as the Radome is concerned F-14A BuNo 162597 must have received a replacement radome at some point in between 1988 and 1991. The insides of the tails had "NE" written in between some red stripes , Ive attached pictures. Hope this helps and thanks for doing this livery!

WolfHound009 started following Naquaii

Yeah, fair enough

Were there certain regimes where an F-4 had an advantage over an F-14A in close range not taking into account the skill of the Pilot/RIO, or was it that the Tomcat had all the advantages in a dogfight?

I may be wrong but I thought it is only for the Iranian F-14A-95-GR that they’re giving the ability to replace TCS with ALQ-100. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Iranian Jester called Jalal for the Iranian Cat would be cool. But then i guess the voice recording process might be time consuming, just a suggestion. -
DCS: F-14 Development Update - Enter the -A!

I mean if they make the Iranian -95 Carrier capable in the game then with a US skin it could definitely masquerade as an early F-14A -

Thats block 85 so apart from the fact that the -95 GR has a AoA probe in the nose, the Block 95 that HB give us should represent this VF-2 Cat just fine at least visually for the most part. Nice Livery too! Wouldn't the -95 GR also not have TCS or was it in limited use during its time period? -
did older a-6s like the A have any rudimentary A2A capability?

TBH i had no idea the TRAM system came about in the late 70s/early 80s, I thought it was introduced in the early to mid 90s. I guess it just goes to show the skill and brilliance of the folks at Calverton.

Cool Video on the TRAM system

I hope we get some hi viz Vietnam era skins as well.
