  1. Oh, I'm not disputing the Hornet ground effect bug......I'm asking for your sources about ED's financial problems. Or are you creating rumours for sh*ts and giggles?
  2. I agree and disagree with you at the same time. The only reason there are unhappy players, is because those players completely misunderstand what Early Access means. You in particular have been quite vocal on your displeasure regarding the Viper being released. Your everyday interaction within the Forum has added nothing, and has proven that you understand the reason for EA, without actually understanding what EA means. While not aimed specifically at you, I will say this about the community in general: I am truly sick and tired of coming to the forum, or view a Youtube clip about some new feature of the Viper/Hornet, only to come across a wall of cancerous text toxicity about how they "spent $400 on modules", or how ED "broke promises". Jeez people, it's a game! And a bloody good one at that! If you truly believe that TWS will make a substantial difference to your MP experience, in either the Viper or Hornet, then it basically means you are crap anyway. This ridiculous focus on TWS means you're problably one of those pilots that only get a kill by spamming 6 AMRAAMS at someone and hoping they react too late once the missiles go pitbul. I'm going to give the Forum a break for a while, because I honestly can't take the negativity and sense of entitlement from little kids anymore. @Bignewy and the rest of the ED Team, good luck with this community.
  3. Could you clarify this post please? What is your source for the claim you are making? Posts like these highlight to me why everybody is screaming bloody murder the second ED works on anything other than the F18.........baseless rumours created by a lack of English language comprehension skills, or the complete and total misunderstanding about what Early Access means.
  4. Preach brother! Never understood why this is such a hard concept to grasp. Asking the same question over and over does not make development happen faster. And stating the fact that the development of the F16 or F18 will be mutually beneficial does not automatically mean both modules get's the same features at the same time. Damn, it's gotta be hard to only have 1 module in DCS. Especially if the feature you're literally crying over every single day doesn't actually serve any meaningful purpose in a PVP MP sense anyway. But hey, I guess paying full price for an EARLY ACCESS module means one is entitled to demands, frustration and constant complaining........... Personally, I don't understand the hype.
  5. @Sierra99, I've tried, and failed, to find more detail about the actual refueling probe. Is there a physical latch that extends once positive contact is made that holds the probe in place? Something like one would see on an ISS docking port. Or does the probe stay connected because of the receiver pressing against the spring tension (?) in the coloured extension that sticks out below the control fins? I would love your feedback on this, along with any other funny stories you have about refueling
  6. What you do or don't believe is your problem, not ED's. Want to get a feel for real betrayal and disappointment? Go buy an Electronic Arts game like Star Wars: Battlefront 2 and have it destroyed within 2 weeks because of additional DLC's and/or lootboxes. You are disappointed because of expectations you created for yourself. I have scoured this forum from top to bottom, and NOWHERE has ED made any promises regarding how quickly they would deliver a finished Hornet after EA release. Do you honestly feel that the most versatile and currently realistic multi-role fighter in DCS, the F/A18C Hornet, is truly disadvantaged against the other modules in DCS on any Multiplayer Server? Do you truly feel that the money you spent on the Hornet was a complete waste when compared to, let's say, the F14/FC3/M2000 etc? Or is this a case of you not actually owning any of those modules, and having all your hopes and dreams pinned on a single module? The Hornet has suffered due to the Viper, ED has been open and honest about that. You really think in the greater scheme of things that a few days, or even a few weeks matter?
  7. While I can't speak for ED, I can tell you this. If someone came on a forum and started to DEMAND that they know the inner workings of how my company operated, I'd laugh in their faces. What is important to you, might not be important to the next person. As a matter of fact, depending on who you ask, the A/G Radar is more important than TWS, and for others the Targeting Pod is more important than both. You have no right to demand anything, you signed up for Early Access and are at the whim of whatever ED decides to deliver, and whenever they are able to deliver those systems. Delivering what you want is going to probably piss off 80% of the rest of the community, but hey, at least you're happy. I advise you to de-center yourself from the universe, and start appreciating and thanking ED for a simulator that already knocks all other combat-sims out of the park. If you're unable to do that, I highly recommend you stop buying Early Access and/or go play some other game. When I started with DCS 2 years ago, I would have never thought that a once friendly and helpful community would turn into this cancerous entitled mess. Jeez, what is wrong with you people?
  8. I completely understand if this is a private matter and you do not wish to share your reasons, but I have to ask: WHY?
  9. We know this because there's a few ex-F18 and F16 pilots that lurk around the forums, and would be quick to point out glaring inaccuracies. Due to the fact that there are limitations with the UI that would impede the player's interfacing with the machine, certain creative liberties are required, but I do not think these drastically interfere with the overall experience or realism........can't say I've come across a post admitting that the FM's are wrong though. Not picking a fight, but why do you not support pre-order culture, and why would you advise others to follow your example?
  10. My problem with the comments is this: based on what? How do we know the systems are even remotely realistic? Do the Devs have inside access to simulators/industry insiders/pilots that can verify accuracy? I'm skeptical of this module, since they could could implement whatever the hell they want, and nobody would be the wiser........ I admit a certain amount of bias against REDFOR, but nothing I have seen so far regarding the JF-17 makes me excited, nor confident that we are looking at any semblance of realism. But hey, I'm also not a JF-17 expert, nor a software developer.........
  11. Well, if you ask the person who posted it, they'll tell you it's more complete because it has an A/G Radar. Back on topic, I agree with the comment earlier about the fact that the F16 will not be on sale again for AT LEAST a year, while the Mirage will probably be on sale every time there is a sale.......
  12. I'm actually quite pleased you brought it up. Show me a single place in the Early Access agreement where Eagle Dynamics promised EA to only last 12 months or less........ Your comment ties in perfectly with my statement. You ARE whining based on an expectation you created for yourself. Since I do not wish to get into a fight on the interwebs, I'll finish with a simple statement. I have more than gotten a return on my investment with literally every single module in DCS I own (which is basically all of them), through thousands of flight hours in both Single Player and Multiplayer. I am excited for every addition like a school-child at Christmas, but never ever have I felt betrayed. You want to know why? Because I understand what I signed up for, and because communication from ED has always been adequate. Maybe $60 means more to you than me, I didn't exactly have to go hungry at any point to afford a DCS module. But some people (and I count you as one of them based on your post) are acting as if ED are the biggest bunch of criminals and charlatans on the planet. If you want to feel real betrayal, go buy Star Wars Battlefront 2. #justsaying
  13. I don't get why the development of A/G Radar is so important to some people. I doubt it's going to be as big a game changer as the TGP as an example. Again, I think the disappointment in it not being developed yet is due to unrealistic expectation the community is creating for itself......Or it's due to the little kids not wanting to feel like their Hornet has been abandoned due to the Viper project, as recently highlighted by a certain junior forum member in a different thread. I'm just waiting for the backlash once the A/G Radar is released and it's not what some people were expecting it to be........
  14. Surprised nobody has recommended an Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Sinai map yet? Seems so obvious considering the jets and helicopter we already have (and will soon get) in DCS?
  15. While it wouldn't really fit with a modern theatre of war, I wouldn't mind a Hawaii map. What was that F18 sim called, with a map of Hawaii? Back in the late 90's, early 2000's I think. I actually thought the Flight Model in it was pretty decent. Can't remember if it was a full sim, or just a tech-demo of sort. I don't recall there ever being weapons.........
