  1. There are lots more pilots than RIO's. However from experience I have found most people don't let people they don't know drop in as there RIO.
  2. Hornet: The inside story of the F/A-18 by Orr Kelly is very good. I'm about halfway through it now
  3. You can quickly climb to 300ft. After that only astronauts have been.
  4. This interests me alot. Just need to find someone with a 3d printer
  5. US chinooks don't have rotor brakes as far as I know. That's what we have always been taught (work on UK chinooks). When I worked overseas they always let the blades spin right down, whilst the UK ones would apply the brake at an acceptable speed (rpm)
  6. This is exciting to hear. I'm going from and x52 to a virpil stick and throttle. Just waiting for delivery (EU UK). How did you find the software, easy enough to use?
  7. Great job, quickly looked through it but looks like a good resource. Have saved for later.
  8. Sweet. Hopefully I'll get on over the weekend and get to use the viggen again. Glad you like the missiles. Cheers to those who fixed this.
  9. This has been like this as long as I've had the module (2 months +), your notice the cab turn as you first move away as it tries to straighten up.
  10. I find nearly the opposite. I've been in a 4 ship formation all firing two missiles each and a single ship shot down all 8 rb15s. Which ship type were you launching at? I have found some ships seem invincible and shot down everything and some are thick as two short planks and don't even try. Edit: also found another report of this. Maybe it is something new as I haven't used the viggen since f10 usage broke. https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink/topic?url=https%3A%2F%2Fforums%2Eeagle%2Eru%2Fshowthread%2Ephp%3Ft%3D247969&share_tid=247969&share_fid=74365&share_type=t Point Defense on ships not firing
  11. Rumour is some guy once went over 500m and he didn't explode. I'm not convinced.
  12. I've found getting out is hit or miss. Sometimes it works, most the time it hasn't. Still the same on the most recent update (open beta)
  13. Didn't realize there was a separate bug section so I'll link to the thread I started about f10 issues as well. https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink/topic?url=https%3A%2F%2Fforums%2Eeagle%2Eru%2Fshowthread%2Ephp%3Ft%3D247809&share_tid=247809&share_fid=74365&share_type=t Using the F10 Map to Place Waypoints
  14. Would appear it's catching lots of people out
  15. Yeah but part of the beauty of the f10 input was if you have a flight of 3 a/c one person enter the marks and everyone has all the marks in the same place, and it saves tonnes of time. Also it's not like the flight crew sat there for 10 mins punching in the waypoints. They were loaded onto the data cartridge for them. Just cause there is a work round doesn't stop it being a bug.
  16. Also remember with the bugged f10 map waypoints at the moment, that if your using that to enter your bx waypoints they could actually be anywhere.
  17. Glad someone else is having the problem and me and my mates are not being thick. Guess I'll go fly something else till its fixed. (Because I am way to lazy to write down all my way points and copy them into the computer)
  18. Has anyone else noticed that since the last update (yesterday's open beta) that using the F10 map method of placing way points (B, Bx and M) seems to place them somewhere else, its particularly bad on the stock map however have had the issue on Gulf as well. Was sat at Kobuleti and placing a way point on myself would place it over 400KM away, whilst entering using the keypad method placed it directly on top of me. Am I being an idiot or has something changed? Also on all my pre-saved missions (including the included ones) all the Viggens seem to be spawning backwards (pointing nose into hangars etc).
  19. I've only ever had one big stall in it on takeoff. Lost all lift on the left side heavy nose down and roll left. But bar that it's always been well behaved. You regularly see people pull up at 90degrees and fling it up into space so I think something isn't spot on.
  20. I can't help with your problem but this setup looks amazing!
  21. I love the viggen, I don't actually have much bound to my stick and throttle. Just the essentials, then some other bits still on the keyboard. Although I like actually using alot of the cockpit switches. Weapons in the viggen are a little different and confusing at first, but once you try them a couple of times your realize how simple it is. If your looking for someone to fly with I fly the viggen alot with some friends (were EU based GMT time zone) and I'm always excited to see more viggens in the air. Edit: Had a think about what I have mapped, TV, T0 and T1 are very important as is radar slew.
