  1. As far as an ETA on DCS: WWII, I wouldn't bother asking for one this early, it was just announced today for goodness sake.
  2. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1855083&postcount=505
  3. Re-read it. DCS World is the core for all the DCS modules at the current moment. DCS WWII will be another standalone core with the WWII modules and terrain. However, the content for both could be ported to each one like Luthier said. You could bring a B-17 over to DCS World or put an A-10 into DCS WWII if you so wished.
  4. Eventually a flyable B-17. Imagine that at DCS quality, just imagine that... :D
  5. Excellent news! Looking forward to this for sure. :)
  6. DCS: Ground Crew anyone? :P Click for full-res. Click for full-res. Click for full-res.
  7. In the sdef folder, its the file at the top of the list with no name.
  8. It is FSX's fault. The sim wasn't designed to handle complex flight dynamics like VTOL. You can only go so far to get it to look kind of right, but it's never ideal. Don't blame Razbam, it's the limitations of the platform. It can't and never has done well with high-performance aircraft, VTOL, thrust vectoring...anything extreme. Only way for developers to work around it is to write their own flight control program to bypass the sim's (similar to what VRS is doing). EDIT: On the subject of DCS, our development team has (on the side) messed with VTOL capability of a jet aircraft using an external flight model, and it worked absolutely brilliantly. Just as you'd expect a real VTOL aircraft to perform. Thing is, there is no limit to what flight model you want to make in DCS - it's an un-restricted platform. It's all up to the developer how detailed they want to make the flight dynamics.
  9. I feel some people in this thread could use some fresh air. :D
  10. Finally, glad to see the Android devices getting some DCS love! Once this project is over, I'd love to see a CDU for Android. ;)
  11. That's the system we use, Mantis. A public version like theirs could be a nice solution.
  12. The first two pictures aren't gaps in the 3D cockpit model, they are the slight gap between the cockpit model and the external model.
  13. We have our own bug report system that is used to organize everything.
  14. There's a new menu called Effects, Skate. Just toggle them on-off.
  15. Agree with Mustang, you're going to love the smokey engines. :)
  16. That's the ticket. At the pizza joint down the street as I type this having a cold one and a couple of slices. The update will get here soon enough. :D
  17. Looks like the effects library was updated in this one, some big files...
  18. You didn't do your research beforehand. The standalone A-10A and Su-25A modules are for people who wanted to buy only those specific aircraft without having to purchase the full FC3 package (and/or don't own original Lock-On). They are identical to the aircraft included in FC3, and it was stated repeatedly that owners of FC3 would get the same upgrades over time to the A-10A and Su-25A in that package that the standalone modules did.
