I prefer to set maxfps to 30 and let the sim use the extra power with other things. It is the same you can do in FS.

I don't see the point. Strobe lights are on when you're flying whatever the plane is, in orden to be seen far away. It is always necessary (when you're no in combat of course, you don't want the bad boys seeing you).

Right now running ok after some reboots. Computer specs: iMac I5 with ATI 5670 512MB. Running DCS with bootcamp for Windows 7.

Bueno me sumo a las felicitaciones. Desde Falcon 4 no veía algo tan bruto, obviamente teniendo en cuenta la diferencia en años. DCS: A10 demuestra las casi infinitas posibilidades de los PCs para crear simulaciones de gran nivel, siempre por supuesto contando con empresas como ED, que han dejado claro que no se andan con rodeos a la hora de crear el mejor simulador de un avión moderno. Sólo espero y deseo que continúen en esta linea, por mi parte tienen el 120% de mi apoyo.

I can almost feel like ED programmers feel. As a computer programmer, I know that when you're in the end of a development strange things come to light, and then you're supposed to be fighting against the work you had and the new work that's raising. It is a typical situation, and with a very hard software development like a simulation, remember, a very, very complicated development, all the cards seem to fall. That's the point when you take a breathe, a pizza, and then you put some music on and start working all night long. I'm just impressed with DCS: A-10C, I didn' feel something similar since Falcon 4 in 1998. I just want they finish their work, no matter when they release it, but I want it, and they want it, in optimal conditions.

It's a matter of time. Apple's growing and MacOs has, we need to remember, a Unix system in its core, stable and very powerful. I think ED and all the other developers can start to think of this platform as the future to develop new games. Macs sell well and many people are migrating from Windows to Mac. Some examples I know from friends and colleagues, but you only need to read comparative sales among computer manufacters. Steam already is working on it, and with very good sales.

I'm running DCS on a iMac and it rocks, by the way I dont understand people who talk about a dieing Apple. It is growing constantly and getting bigger and bigger. And I can run DCS A10 with Windows and then work with MacOs, I get the best of two worlds in a single machine. And one more thing... This was written with and iPad where I carry all the DCS A10 docs ;)

El Starforce actual no tiene nada que ver con el antiguo, como ya se ha aclarado. Este va por activaciones online, pero luego te deja tranquilo y no hace cosas raras por el sistema. Por otro lado, es una beta, y las betas es lo que tienen, que petan, fallan, dan errores, etc etc. Pero bueno yo por lo que he visto esta beta cuatro es bastante estable. Varias personas de mi escuadrón usamos W7 64 bits sin mayores problemas. Sí, no es perfecto, le falta rendimiento, algunos pantallazos a veces, cosas que en general los desarrolladores ya saben de qué van. En general podemos decir que es un producto en desarrollo y así se indica claramente como beta que es. En fin que no podemos pedir un producto terminado a un producto que no está terminado. Otros simuladores han salido a la venta en mucho peor estado que esta beta 4. Yo creo que se va por buen camino de tener un supersimulador de grandísimo nivel, en mi caso no había alucinado tanto desde Falcon 4, y eso que Falcon 4 petaba al principio 300% más que esta beta.

Hola, soy el de la inocentada. Siento si alguien se ha sentido confundido, en Espana el 28 de diciembre es el dia de los Santos Inocentes. Ya lo aclaro un companero en el foro de ED y yo mismo el dia 29 en la noticia. Solo se trataba de sacar una sonrisa relacionada con nuestra pasion por los simuladores. Gracias y feliz anyo.
