  1. You can read about TAS here https://www.ausairpower.net/API-AGM-88-HARM.html
  2. I vaguely recall somewhere- and it was probably in my Falcon 4 days, that if the engine was below a certain RPM, the EPU would kick in, and thus you could not run idle for too long or it'd run it out of fuel. So, you're not alone in that thinking. I must be misremembering though, because I cannot find anything to that effect.
  3. [REPORTED]2.5.6.48283 F-16 Generator/Power issue After 30 minutes of idling on the ground, the F-16 generators drop offline, alignment is lost, and the FCR stops. This happens even if ground power has been applied. Once this happen the systems cannot be reset. GRissue45Kelso-MP.trk
  4. Electronic JTAC data transmission to aircraft is already supported in DCS for the A-10C so I do not see why not, for F/A-18.
  5. I am guessing it is used by the Hornet to contact ships in distress or as part of customs or sanction enforcement. Whilst not strictly needed in DCS, I guess it could be useful in some mission scenarios for realism.
  6. Well one would think it'd simply use the 'other' options in the countermeasures programs. https://saab.com/globalassets/publications-pdfs/eds/electronic-warfare-ew/bol_f-18_product_sheet.pdf
  7. Just had a server crash - no usable track file. See below information. I sent through the crashlog/debug via the post crash collector about 10 minutes prior to this message (Relevant - as I see it) Log output follows 2020-04-29 02:10:21.162 INFO Scripting: event:type=shot,initiatorPilotName=George,t=40420.859,weapon=BGM-71 TOW,initiatorMissionID=2395, 2020-04-29 02:10:58.184 INFO EDCORE: try to write dump information 2020-04-29 02:10:58.185 INFO EDCORE: # -------------- 20200429-021057 -------------- 2020-04-29 02:10:58.185 INFO EDCORE: DCS/2.5.6.47404 (x86_64; Windows NT 10.0.17763) 2020-04-29 02:10:58.185 INFO EDCORE: D:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\Weapons.dll 2020-04-29 02:10:58.186 INFO EDCORE: # C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION at A7455577 00:00000000 2020-04-29 02:10:58.188 INFO EDCORE: SymInit: Symbol-SearchPath: '.;D:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta;D:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\bin;C:\Windows;C:\Windows\system32;SRV*C:\websymbols*http://msdl.microsoft.com/download/symbols;', symOptions: 530, UserName: 'dcsadmin' 2020-04-29 02:10:58.188 INFO EDCORE: OS-Version: 10.0.17763 () 0x110-0x3 2020-04-29 02:10:58.841 INFO EDCORE: 0x0000000000095577 (Weapons): wArmour_scheme::set_ws + 0x12B7 2020-04-29 02:10:58.841 INFO EDCORE: 0x00000000000BA804 (Weapons): wWeaponSystem::rotationLauncher_manual + 0x2A4 2020-04-29 02:10:58.842 INFO EDCORE: 0x000000000006CD2E (Weapons): cLauncher::IsMyTargetInRange + 0xCE 2020-04-29 02:10:58.842 INFO EDCORE: 0x0000000000003AE4 (World): wSimTrace::CommandsTraceDiscreteIsOn + 0x504 2020-04-29 02:10:58.842 INFO EDCORE: 0x0000000000003F8D (World): wSimCalendar::DoActionsUntil + 0x1FD
  8. quick addendum to that, if there could be an event trigger specifically for the destruction, and also repair of the runway, that'd be great as well! thanks
  9. BIGNEWY, I know I spoke to you about this on discord but after talking with some peers we all agree 1 hour is too short , so decided to report it here. Would it be possible to make it configurable via lua function. Something like env.setRunwayRepairTime = [seconds] ? Side note, a env.setBridgeRepairTime would be cool too ;)
  10. Please see attached mission. Drone will appear at 1 minute revealing hte position of the red tanks, then disappear after 1 minute, and they will stay. You can use combined arms in red to move the tanks, and the blue commander will be able to see it, so its not like its their last known position (which would be kinda cool but thats an aside) if you extend the deactivate timer to like an hour, and use combined arms to fly the predator away, the contacts will be lost as they are no longer detected. predator test.miz
  11. To have an IR marker or Laser the jtac unit needs to have them. That does not include infantry units (I have asked for a JTAC specialist infantry unit), and whilst they can JTAC it will be no mark (nothing to launch it with) no laser and no ir. They also wont work at night because they cannot see. Unarmed humvee wont work in this case, so you need something like a tow humvee or I personally use a striker. Note when using stinger units in combined arms you can lase and put an IR marker on, so these may work.

  13. There is a discussion about it here. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=230937
  14. Actually I asked for D (AW) model. Has a higher chance of success... plus people grovelling for an E or F model has been done to death.
  15. The cheek mounted litening pod was however put in DCS for NON USN/USMC Hornets - RAAF, Spain, etc. https://www.airforce-technology.com/uncategorised/newssaab-to-deliver-bol-pods-to-australias-fa-18ab-hornet-4697189/ "In 2008, Australia acquired BOL for the F/A-18A/B Hornets of the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF). The new order is aimed at increasing the RAAF’s operational capability." These hornets had been upgraded to essentially C standard, starting in 1999 ED bends their rules frequently, and if you don't ask, you don't get.
  16. Please see attached mission -works fine in SP and in MP when run from the client... but not on a -norender server. Ship will appear after one minute. I have not tested if it matters if it is visible before activation, or not. shiptest2.miz

  19. Whats happening with 1000lb JDAMs?
  20. In something similar to the viggen road base issue, searchlights are only visible to the person hosting the MP server, or in single player. Everyone else in the same mission cannot see them.
  21. When first mounted on the aircraft the camera windows are correctly stowed to the rear to protect them, and previously when selecting STBY or OFF when you had finished using it, this also worked fine. Now the camera remains pointing forward, when either STBY or OFF is selected, correlated by the viewpoint marker on the SA page (which used to go rearward when stowed). The view however does turn off. It doesnt matter if it is cheek mounted or centreline mounted. Not a high priority thing, I know, since damage to it when landing with it unstowed is not modelled, and it otherwise seems to work ok,but thought I would let you know.
  22. One thing I liked about Falcon was different types of climb, like climb immediate, etc. It would be great to see something like this, which tells it where in the journey to the next waypoint it starts climbing
  23. Template is under USA - Carrier Group 2 or 3 2 was created in 2.5.5 and 3 was created from a 2.5.5 mission (where the CG2 template was created) and loaded up in 2.5.6 then used to create a new template
