  1. Hey guys, been a while since i messed with this game. been actually learning how to fly the real thing instead of the games. But i got 3 monitors hooked up now(before i only had two) My primary monitor is in the center at (monitor1)1920x1200 my right monitor is (Monitor2)1600x1200 and my left monitor is (Monitor3)1024x768. I have it setup on my catalyst control for the monitors in order from left to right 3, then 1, then 2. I want to setup the Abris on the left screen of center, the Center screen for cockpit view, and the right screen for the shkval. I simply cant get the game to show up on the left monitor. If i move the monitor to the right of #2 then it works fine and the left to right order would be 1,2, then 3. But in order for my desktop to work right I would have to physically move the monitor to the right side which i don't care to do nor really have room for. I think a simplified explanation to what my problem is: I cant get Blackshark to recognize anything to the left of the center monitor with the current configuration i have. Any ideas?
  2. Thank you, needed to know what units to place or if there was something special you had to do to get it to work. The structures labeled fuel FARP and ammo FARP are somewhat missleading.
  3. I am trying to build a custom map but cant seem to get the ground crew to change payload, I have static objects placed for farp fuel, farp ammo storage, and farp command and they are actually on the farp pad
  4. after 5 painful hours, a days lost of flight time, a failed attempt to create a true PvP oriented map, and a horrible headache.. here is the culprit ["difficulty"] = { ["padlock"] = false, ["easyRadar"] = false, ["enemies"] = true, ["setGlobal"] = false, ["immortal"] = false, ["geffect"] = "realistic", ["permitCrash"] = false, ["easyFlight"] = false, ["tips"] = false, ["radio"] = false, ["fuel"] = false, ["hud"] = false, ["aftSwitching"] = false, ["cockpitLanguage"] = "english", ["units"] = "metric", ["externalViews"] = true, ["altTrimmingMethod"] = true, ["myPlane"] = true, ["iconsTheme"] = "english", <------ The original setting is "nato" ["map"] = true, ["weapons"] = false, ["allies"] = true, ["labels"] = false, }, -- end of ["difficulty"] I have no idea how that was even changed, I know I have never placed it in manually... So concluding this problem, thank you all very much for your support in resolution. Look forward to seeing you guys in game, and btw I will be setting up a PvP server that me and my friend will be flying on, mission briefs will include TS2 IP address :pilotfly:
  5. Before I have fun I must find out exactly what caused the problem so no one has to deal with this again lol :joystick:
  6. definately have made progress.. as of right now I have narrowed it down to settings above my graphics config, will look further into it, basically it means my moniter setup is still working and my editor is working now as well
  7. you may be right, I might be on to something here.. just before i read this post I deleted my entire ED folder under users and loaded it and now have icons. Now I must figure out what caused the problem and modify it to work ;)
  8. no mods simply lua modifications to support my monitors
  9. something strange I noticed about your screenshot is your terrain and things look different than mine, maybe this is a DirectX issue?? refer to this thread on directX installation, I still had same error after last re-install, can't recall the one prior to fix these issues, but they were cleared up with fresh driver install http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=51197
  10. exactly lol, i dont get it. :helpsmilie: I even re-installed the game and yes i have installed the newest version
  11. I would say most likely when you load this mission it will show up on your editor Custom .miz
  12. sure I will attach a mission with a single farp and a screenshot of it. even premade missions do it
  13. its not your file lol its my mission editor, where are the files for mission editor maybe I can copy the files from my friend and fix it
  14. I understand they do not show up as actual objects, I cant see the icons :( Yes i downloaded the template but I can't see it, maybe these screenshots will help.. I am centered on the farp By fhalcon at 2010-03-25
  15. I can not visually see it, as in that its not appearing on the map, absolutly no static objects show up they are there i can center the map on them I can change variables of them, but its hard to setup anything if you can't see where you are placing it. But thanks for the template I will certainly use that if I can get this thing to work
  16. I cant see any of that its one of the main problems I am having
  17. It seems simple enough to figure out, but I cannot visually see any farps or static objects that I place, I can't figure out how to setup the farps for multiplayer 4 on 4
  18. I have found the solution to my problem, after fooling with the game and DirectX for quite some time. I did not assume I had any issues with my drivers since all other games have ran fine. But after a thorough cleanup of all ATI files and a fresh install of 10.2 all is clear.
  19. I have tried 3 fresh installs all 3 times have recieved Directx error failure to complete install, also downloaded completly new install files directly from DCS for third install From directx.log 03/23/10 22:16:06: dxupdate: Currently C:\Windows\SysWOW64\d3dx9_34.dll is newer than the one being installed. 03/23/10 22:16:06: dxupdate: CabCallback(): DeleteFile() failed, error = 5. 03/23/10 22:16:06: dxupdate: CabCallback(): Unable to delete C:\Users\Max\AppData\Local\Temp\DXB9EC.tmp\d3dx9_34.dll. 03/23/10 22:16:06: dxupdate: ----- 03/23/10 22:16:06: dxupdate: DirectXUpdateInstallPlugIn(): Installing Jun2007_d3dx9_34_x64.cab... 03/23/10 22:16:06: dxupdate: DXCheckTrust(): C:\Users\Max\AppData\Local\Temp\nsv6B9E.tmp\Jun2007_d3dx9_34_x64.cab is trusted. 03/23/10 22:16:06: dxupdate: Extracted file C:\Users\Max\AppData\Local\Temp\DXB9EC.tmp\jun2007_d3dx9_34_x64.inf from cab 03/23/10 22:16:06: dxupdate: DirectXUpdateGetSetupInformation(): DirectX Version: 4.09.00.0904.0 03/23/10 22:16:06: dxupdate: CheckDependency(): no dependency. 03/23/10 22:16:06: dxupdate: DirectXUpdateGetSetupInformation(): Section [4.09.00.0904.0-4.09.00.0904.0_WinNT@64] is being installed. 03/23/10 22:16:06: dxupdate: Extracted file C:\Users\Max\AppData\Local\Temp\DXB9EC.tmp\d3dx9_34_x64.cat from cab 03/23/10 22:16:06: dxupdate: DirectXUpdateInstallPlugIn(): SetupIterateCabinet() failed, error = 1224. 03/23/10 22:16:06: dxupdate: DirectXUpdateInstallPlugIn(): Unable to iterate through C:\Users\Max\AppData\Local\Temp\nsv6B9E.tmp\Jun2007_d3dx9_34_x64.cab. The full size image is what it looks like in game, there may be other issues it seems as if the game looks worse than what I remember.
  20. btw its a fresh install with newest patch, went straight into lua files to setup my monitors, it had been a while since I had re-installed the game, also have tried deleting all option.lua files and anything else that I had fooled with to load the game up with fresh settings unmodified still same result.
  21. Can't fix it, dont know why, i know where the options are, have changed them, can't find anything about it in my options.lua file, don't really know whats going on here
