  1. Did you install copying files or using the release download? There is a short howto how to export a simple object in the readme. Please follow those instructions. It might be a good idea to join the discord and ask about specific questions there. Error messages might be helpful as well. https://discord.gg/hWXTPtJMfr
  2. You should use the zip file from the asserts of the latest release and install it with blender. Releases: https://github.com/tobi-be/BlenderEdmExporter/releases Be aware that this exporter is not thought to export downloaded models and have a working model with 2 or 3 clicks. Install: Download io_BlenderEdmExporter.zip from asserts of the latest release. Blender: Go to Edit->Preferences->Add-Ons, press install and choose downloaded zip file Activate the add-on It is written in the readme. Please read it.
  3. How did you install it? Where did download it? Some people downloaded the code zip and tried to install it. You have to download at releases

    Rocket recoil

Has anyone ever tried to blow a lot of air through a drinking straw without moving it or holding it? Of course there is friction
  5. Here is a discord for more discussions and questions https://discord.gg/hWXTPtJMfr
  6. Since modeldrop turned out to be nothing more than disrespectful vapour ware my repo is back online with the appropriate releases. Please do not mix this thread with future foreign distributions of my exporter to avoid confusion when troubleshooting or debugging.
  7. Shaders in blender do not matter for edm export. Roughmet ist used only when you fulfill the naming convention. There are multiple places in the forum how to do that. One here Diffuse and roughmet have to have the same name but the roughmet has the addition _roughmet at the end. This not the case here. You have to rename the roughmet.
  8. I would recommend to load models with a flag into the modelviewer to check how it is done in DCS. Since it is a gameengine you have to stick to basic and simplified approaches. My guess is that a flag is a mesh exported as a two sided skinnode and animated with a few bones. Clothsimulations won't be possible in DCS.
  9. https://github.com/tobi-be/BlenderEdmExporter/releases/tag/1.0.8 Finally... you can add more than one visibility action. Thanks to Copperhead. He fixed bugs in Bake Action
  10. At least 1 and not 0/10. Did you read the readme how to use it? Who did you just ask to make a new one?
  11. It is is a problem with the skinnode. For which part do you use it? There are some crucial points you have to follow in the readme
  12. Cool thank you. Looks like no influence of shadows. Maybe it is obsolete
  13. Could you try different combinations of blendend and shadows on the solid material? You could summarize the results and I could add it to the readme.
  14. You can check some examples with the modelviewer. For example the Kuznecow. It does not have lines only shells. Even on its runway. Same for Farp or the Oilrigs. Lines are important for aircrafts and helis but not or statics on which you want to land or roll.
  15. Yes but here it is about a ramp like a heliport or a deck of an aircraft carrier not about a model like a heli.
  16. Those should work https://github.com/tobi-be/BlenderEdmExporter/releases
  17. Did you Download the Code zip or a Release zip?
