  1. Not sure why anyone is taking (DCS) Grim Reapers or any youtuber seriously. Regarding the political talk, I genuinly care very little. None of the jets in DCS are accurate to their last bolt. I play DCS over other Flight Sims, simply because of the level of detail we can have on each aircraft. For me, the main selling factor is the amount of functions and features provided. Deka have done a remarkable job with simulating this plane. I cannot deny the effort that went into this module. At the moment, it is one of the best modules I have flown. The fact that this plane does not pretend or fly like a spaceship or superjet is very entertaining. When controlling it, we have to think of the hull stress over time from overuse, system limitation, over G remifications and even pilot's health. This jet has so many little things modeled which overshadow the superiority tag that other jets have going for them. For me if Deka keeps on adding these little details and add more quality of life to the airframe itself. So far, anyone who has flown this jet have loved it and understand how capable these devs are. This aircraft really showcases its own unique personality which is quite different from western mentality. Regarding Deka not feeling welcome, I personally think this comes more from those trolls who currently pretend to be knowledgeable and chinese but then they call JF-17 a cheap fighter and other "bad" things when compared with other Chinese jets. It is a cannibalistic mentality which welcomes people who don't even own the module but want to collect reason why JF-17 should be worse than F-16. A rather rubbish comparison if you ask me. For anyone who is a collector of very high quality modules, who are not just looking for the best superior fighter. This one has very heavy code-work done under the hood. One of the reason why I compare it to F-14 from heatblur.
  2. I had a feeling that turning batteries and power on while the AAR proble is being installed/removed was odd. Glad to see it has been fixed now. Nice updates. :thumbup: I need to remember to rebind my axis after the update.

  5. For starters, you are not a master of anything. Second, if you have time to ask in forum about something complex, give us a valid and equal explanation. These jets are not designed with your elementry school equations. Just like your claim that there are many factors which cause drag, there are just as many solutions designed to reduce or nullify its effects. If you don't have time to even explain in detail why you believe it is not realistic, how did you expect someone else to spend time and do research on your behalf? Maybe if developers have time, they might answer your question however, you did not present any detailed evidence of your claimed master machine builder status. If you wish to discuss this topic, present your case in more detail. This community does contain some very knowledgeable people.
  6. Quite frankly, I will pass on this whole list. There is nothing iconic or that interesting listed here. The Russian inspired planes are more interesting. Mostly because we cannot get the original ones but Deka cannot make those. Not sure if apart from JF-17, Deka even have permission to make any Chinese jet with MFDs. I would very much like if Deka gives us a full blown large bomber or even a military transport plane. Those are greatly missing from this game and I believe they will sell like hot cakes.

  9. +1 for proper Huey simulation 2.0. Maybe add ability to load visible soldiers with added weight so mission makers can combine it with their troop loading scripts.
  10. Thank you for sharing some of your plans. Much appreciated. I hope texture improvements also include adding more detail to cockpit. Is BRM1 also not slaved to ED progress at the moment? I have picked this aircraft back up again. Really entertaining doing strike missions again. Currently, it has replaced Viggen's role for me when doing percision strikes.
  11. You make a valid point. I was initialy confused because It said that engines needed to be tunred off for the probe to be installed/removed. I was waiting for the probe to be removed before I even began my procedures. It never came to me that starting everything except the engines was acceptable. Once I discovered this was possible, it made me curious why is that extra step is even a thing if it does not even add or remove anything from the simulation experience, just an extra options among startup procedure. I remember reading some key advertisement points on this plane where they were boasting that this plane can be serviced in 5 minutes and be on its way again for second mission, similar to what swedish jets are popular for. If we go by that claim then it might not be too unrealistic to expect this approach. Since I enjoy the level of detail Deka adds in every little function, this one seems to stick out. This is why I was wondering if this was an "artistic" choice by developers or an actual aircraft capability. I am even less bothered by the probe being on by default after discovering that I can get rid of it during the startup stages without noticing delay. It only takes maximum of 3 minutes to start this plane if we exclude the INS alignment steps and all tests. I would not recommend skipping on INS Alignment though, or else the instruments will act like that popular dubbed J-10 "dogfight" training video. :lol:
  12. It is not allowed and they even blur all cockpits in videos. Probably because the airframe design copied from Russia and cockpit copied from nato. Would be nice to fly a hybrid but not worth the prison time. I would be happy with even old planes from Deka. As long as they have good ground attack capabilities.
  13. Any new update on when the upgrade might hit us? Would be nice to do formation with Hind and get nice pictures.
  14. I agree. The dome lights need to be reworked. It is really difficult to do night missions. Can't expect us to use flashlight all the time. ;)

  16. Alright. It is clear you failed to follow the conversation. You have also provided no real answer to my original question and instead added your own odd questions. This will cause further confusion instead of clarification. Please stop replying to me. I ask nicely. :)
  17. Who hurt you? What proof do you have where the pilot is turning on the batteries and running through procedures while the jet is getting a whole rod shoved on its side? Do you even apply common sense before running after "muh proof" defense? Such a stereotypical response. If you do not know anything and cannot keep cool in debates, please refrain from responding. Either add value to your response or dont answer. There are plenty other threads for you to ask people for proof on. My main question is still, if we have artifical time added to somewhat add fake delay because it is a time consuming procedure (Again, I am talking about adding fuel probe), then why allow players to power on the systems. Is doing so realistic or safe? If you get annoyed easily, please don't bother replying. I won't lose any sleep not knowing.

  19. Mate, you are supposed to have your engines off while the probe is being switched. If it does not even follow that rule then the developers need to look into this or else it is a pointless function added to this module.
  20. I think the probe should just have been part of the load out screen. I know the devs want to add the fake timer but the weapon change should take even longer in comparison. I do not want to fly half blind most of the time. Mission creators already have option to add remove it from editor if they want so why force it on by default? It is in very odd position and hurts when in air to air combat.

  22. I would like to know their target date for when this module will be feature complete rather than a release date of alpha alpha release. Still didn’t buy F16 and already suffering with how the JF-17 is being handled.
  23. Not sure why on paper it is supposed to be so good and in actual gameplay it turns into a brick strapped to fireworks. The kill ratios of both missiles in combat are quite clear. These missiles need more work than just a loft profile and chaff resistance number values. These are not ancient arrows that only must follow the glide principle and air resistance profile. By going with each description posted here. Each nut and bolt can significantly alter performance of these missiles. Also we are now off topic.
  24. I do not think flying at that altitude, loaded up is even realistic for this jet so not sure why and how you did it. Considering we get similar result with F-14, it seems possible. You can even take empty harrier that high and get similarish result and the community told me that it is totally possible for it.
