AI Seaking mod (SH-3H / Mk.48)
Dave317 replied to Eight Ball's topic in Static/AI Mods for DCS World
Amazing aircraft. I'd love to see a flyable one some day. Had a look round a few of them a couple of days ago. -
I was by I couldn't get on with it so I deleted it.

Thanks for the replies. I tried the bit of tape over the sensor but that made no difference. For me it was turbo mode that was causing it.
-
It doesn't always do this but more often than not if I take of my headset DCS will hang and then crash. Is there any way around this?
-
Legend, thank you. All working again.
-
That's annoying. Thanks for letting me know.

I bought virtual desktop via the Pico store when I had a Pico 4 but have since returned the headset for a Quest 3. Is there any way for my to use virtual desktop with the Quest? The Quest app wants me to buy it again and I'd rather not if I don't have to.
-
Yep. Settings exactly as the were before.
-
I've got no chatter at all now. The theme box also just says 'AUTO'.
-
Yes I'm using the oculus app. I believe virtual desktop can only be used via WiFi and unfortunately my router is on another floor so doesn't get great signal. I'm using a cable at the minute which seems to work OK.

I've just got a quest 3 and am trying to dial in the best settings for it. I've used the MT branch for ages however I tried the ST version and I've found is it runs way better and is far clearer than MT. The FPS are about the same on both versions but MT has a stutter that feels like the whole screen is being vibrated and is very unpleasant. ST is pretty smooth and the only think I seem to be missing is the grass doesn't move from any rotor wash. Is there something I'm doing wrong or is it the same for everyone? I'm a bit concerned now that the ST version won't be supported for much longer. My specs are: AMD 6800 XT 11700K 64 GB ram
-
Any luck making shorter grass?

Gpu performance.
-
Yes I get that and I will upgrade at some point but these things funny come cheap at the minute. The question is, is pico 4 particularly power hungry over other headsets?
-
I've been running a reverb g1 and 6800xt for years with pretty good results but I'm looking to upgrade. I recently got a pico4 and had really high hopes but it just wasn't as good visually as the g1 even with it tethered. Unfortunately I had to send it back. From all the things I've read it seems the pico 4 needs a really high end gpu to run it at acceptable visual quality. Does the same apply to all vr headsets now? For example if I got a quest pro would I also need a better gpu or is this just a pico 4 thing?

solved F14 VR - VDI screen not usable in MT Version

Same here however on hot starts it always seems to work properly. -
Same for me it rarely works and there doesn't seem to be a work around. Hopefully it can be fixed soon.

I've been checking daily and oddly they have put the price right up. It's now £712 in the UK but is showing in stock.

Satiek combat pedals, toe brake take apart?
Dave317 replied to Vlerkies's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I'd love to know too. My right pedal is very jumpy. -
I had a pico a few weeks back. I could not get it to work well and ended up sending it back. There are a few reviews that say it's good but imo my g1 was better quality.
-
They went out of stock here for a while but are now back in stock. As soon as they came back in stock they dropped the price slightly. Even on prime day Amazon was more expensive than HP.
-
Does anyone know of a discount code for HP? The usual price in the UK wa £623 but I have an emergency services discount which brought it down to £560. I went to buy one yesterday and HP have just dropped their price slightly to £599. Great I though with a bit of extra discount I'll have that. I now only get £7 discount off so £592! I know it's not a huge ammout but does anyone know of a working discount code? The USA is far cheaper and it in France it's only £524.

I recently purchased a pico 4 and and throughly tested it with a 6800xt. Unfortunately I had to send it back as in my opinion the visuals were no where near as good as my reverb G1. Loads of reviews say how good it is but I tried everything possible and couldn't get it looking good. By all means buy one but make sure you have good returns policy. It was a real shame for me as its got some very nice features and I really wanted it to be good. Getting a G2 as soon as they are back in stock in the UK.
