  1. Start with a similar curve like this and then tweak it till you feel comfortable. Lowering the saturation in Y-Axis values means lowering the model ingame Max. breaking force. Even you put all way down your toes on your pedals at home, in game model you were only using 75% of breaking. It's odd, but it works, also you won't block the wheels, so you will evade those stupid nose strikes. This is the cheaper solution.... a more expensive one.... up to you.
  2. F-16C Viper Development Progress The new pilot model for the Viper is being worked on and will provide more realism and immersion when flying the DCS: F-16C Viper. In the above screenshot you may see an entirely new and highly detailed model. We patiently and kindly await your feedback.
  3. Categorically NO I was NOT comparing anything. I was just only sharing with you a recent example of ED going really fast fixing visual animations when the situation is enough "worrying" (sorry for using an inaccurate word as "soon") to "you". There's nothing from WW2 era accuratelly recreated in mustang pilot model, from his midwest oversize, going thru his clothes and finishing with his oxigen mask...or lack of it. The only comparison I did: Mustang pilot versus an alien. Sorry if you don't like it, but I don't like How long is been taking some visual inaccuracies/bugs fixes. Just last question: Is "Soon" an alien invented unit of time equivalent to, at least, five earth years? Truth is out there... right behind to a chemtrail.
  4. I perfectly know it's known, the core question is: for how many time is it going to be stored in the queue? Viper's rudder movement animation issue was solved in less than 15 days from the YT video release til the patch release.
  5. Taller than the rest of humans, also don't need to breath pure oxigen at high altitudes due there's no mask modeled in his 3D model,....gotcha!!! Mustang pilot has to be an alien sent to study and spy the mankind for an ulterior invasion. That could be the plot of any old TV series like X-files, but the only old thing here is the unchecked/ not fixed bug reports. Definetly should be the right answer.... an alien... otherwise nobody can explain ten years of service breathing poor oxigenated air for more than 2 ETOPS Tours at 35,000 feet and smoking luckies like a mate raised in the midwest of the 30's... He's really out of this (DCS)world...
  6. You can play with the axis settings of your track-ir or if you're using a free tracker that uses opentrack app then you can set them in options
  7. Nowadays... "that" new glass tech still not being implemented. Also is more annoying than ever after 1 and a half years from the closure of the original thread and nothing has changed in no one WW2 warbirds. This full opacity layer is unreal and 200% put you out of immersiveness. We all know spotting in DCS WW2 is "special" but these kind of details make it even more "special". Flying in the mustang is like if you were all time in an eternal 06:00 am London Foggy day inside your cockpit (a bird cage model would be better than our bubble canopy), and the worst of it is when you feel it in an overcast map, in a scattered sky in summer time, at dawn, at dusk, no matters what is your relative possition respect Sun (light incidence) or in the FOV zoom level you are, etc,etc.,etc.,... ad infinitum. Meanwhile we're waiting this new tech implementation..... Could it be possible in any near future update to get any kind of interim official (*)solution? Just fadding the oppacity of the dds file in the ingame default textures file (as simple as that), please? (*) I said official before anyone would come and tell me there's a mod that works pretty well for him/her/it. I'm looking for an universal solution for all WW2 DCS users not for a local mend for a few. null
  8. Like Clint Eastwood said once: Opinions are like asses... everybody got one.... Yours is not bad in itself but 180 degrees off topic
  9. The main issue is not the fact you can stay looking backwards forever with our "couch potato" pilot hardware devices or not. The main issue I've observed in ALL sims I've been playing for decades is the total lack of physiological symthomps on the pilot jerking the A/C in that mad way, also another physics linked to the A/C flying envelope. You don't have to be a IRL pilot and push the stick fully forward to experiment how disgusting is -1 or -2 G's load. In the comfort of you home you only have to put yourself upside down for a few seconds and leave the planetary G (9.8 m/s2) do its magic putting all your blood in your head.... You're not going to hold that for more than 1 minute.... at home... after that experiment then try to imagine yourself in such an stressful dogfighting situation pulling the stick repeatly that stupid way.... Got more sense playing russian roulette against a monkey with a 6 shots revolver loaded with 5 bullets. Said that, in competitive enviroments like MP servers where 99% people only want to emulate Ice and Mav's adventures and be the king of the stats for a day or a month at all costs exploit expert players exist (they're that 99%, it's not their foult), but only cause game-sim allowed them to find the exploits. So basically they're good in terms of game developing: those smarties find an exploit, the rest of gamers (the other 1%) find them doing the exploit thing, then do the feedback (we can call them openly COMPLAINTS) to "devs" and the magicians of 0's & 1's find a more realistic solution in terms of FM, DM, pilot physics, etc,etc,... I'm talking from coding ignorance, but simulate a red eye total screen fade when you push neg G's, a black out when you suddently pull positive G's, also a lack of response or delay in your stick due your pilot is disabled due you abused of both G's (neg's and pos) should be in the top 5 of a must have list to consider a game based in real physics "realistic" by itself... not for being more realistic than the rest of game- sims in the market. If the issue- exploit is here I don't mind what is going on in other places. And last but not least... I couldn't understand why the hell we have a simplier AI FM-DM that allows the AI also jerks in that "exploit ways"..... If I could choose I prefer a human exploiter than an AI: with a human I have more chances of catching her/him after a mistake cause complex FM-DM's are suppoused to be "similars" but with the AI's simplier mode things go weird also most of the times are the opposite of inmersive... just try to do a 2 vs. 2 where you're the only human and you're going to see how your wingman not only goes passive attacking opponents, it also becomes a fake wingman incapable of driving the opponent to your sight and only going shooting enemies once it is in your line of fire and become a "sitting duck", basically a 2 vs. 2 easily becomes a 1 vs. 3. Take this vid as just another vet pilot personal experiences, not as "God's words", but I remind you their words are closer to "realism-truth" than all we can type here for 3 simmer lifes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DMKcO-T5Y4o https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=STFdRrWBW2w&list=PLIQZ9KH44rqXuC2jpWvJWW3fxetN7CeIo&index=2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yh_mKBVzpA8&list=PLIQZ9KH44rqXuC2jpWvJWW3fxetN7CeIo&index=1
  10. Those soultions only work offline or in single player missions or if you're lucky with the server and its admins don't be "diehards of the bad understood realism" (cause in real life pilots use to search for pixels instead for light specks), basically 99% most populated WW2 MP servers are from that sect, so all visual mods, also included reshade, are forbidden. This issue has been reported several time ago and not only for the Spitfire... and don't get wrong: I've never seen an IRL plexiglass been so hazardous as we could experiment in this sim... 109 has better rear view than a P-51D or a Spitfire in this game... so basically this is not part of the "realism pack".... all the opposite. Modifying the opacity of the .dds glass layer is a 5 mins. workload and include it in next OpenBeta update just another 5 mins. for a junior programer (also now they can ask for help to ChatGPT), but I'd like to know the hidden reassons they don't fix this from game files origin with no mods or weird local solutions from a long time ago, just the same for everybody. It's weird to think the solution an army of engineers found for better spotting in WW2 is right one of the worst spotting issues in this game... and even weirder thinking they can fix this long awaited issue in less than a coffee break. P-51 also has same problem, you need to "zoom in to the max" to see anything thru the glass behind you or even at your side.

  12. One week after the MT I've only observed a bug in the Tomcat module (only observed in the MT mode): The lack of Jester once you open Jester's menunull (picture 1). Personally, I've had a pleasant surprise with the addiction of those random cockpit details in the front panel, my favorite one is picture 2. It's just another immersive detail that makes me feel I'm flying a 31 tones 50 old tech jet that could be fixed with a scotch tape. nullnull

  14. No problem. You're right, I used this AI to colorized it: https://imagecolorizer.com/ , it didn't nail it 100% but it gives you a rough guide which palet of colours you will need, but nowadays AI's are better for chatting than for painting.
  15. RAF 107 SQN OM-Q tail No.NS855 based in Cambrai-Epinoy Air Base (France) circa October 1944 Flown by Lt. D. Button (UK) and F/O L.
