  1. Excellent. Wish I had realized that there were three steps, not two, sooner. But at least you and your team have that squared away. Enjoy. And thanks for letting me know.
  2. No, there's not. Just to make sure we're on the same page, do the following. Do your startup procedure and take off. Once established in flight, select EAC Arm (LAlt+4). Next select LAAP Altitude/Heading Hold (LAlt+2). Finally, LAAP Engage/Disengage (A). Did it work? EDIT: It's been a long time since I've been in the A-10A pit. I realized this evening that there are three steps, not two as suggested in my previous post. EDIT 2: Forgot to mention. Make sure you’re in fairly level flight before steps 2 & 3. Not sure how finicky the AP is.
  3. I assume the instant action is an air start? If so, that's why. The EAC is already on in an air start. If you're starting dark and cold, you need to turn it on (keyboard "A" toggles it on/off). But another question is what AP function are you attempting to engage? There are only two: Altitude/Heading Hold and Path Hold. A third option, Altitude/Bank Hold, is listed in the controls listing but doesn't exist in the sim. Not sure why it's there because the A-10A sim manual only refers to those first two.
  4. I seem to recall an “official” training mission that advised placing the pipper slightly ahead of the target because of the delay in the bomblets dispensing. But I could be imagining it all.
  5. I didn't count. However, in other situations where I have counted, the number has always been correct. I'm uploading short videos made from each TRK. They'll be available later today. I suppose you could pause the video and count. Then you'd know for sure. Each video is less than 1 minute long. BTR-80: MBT T-90
  6. Whether correct or not (I don't know and am not going to research it), the RBK (PTAB 10.5M) disperses in a doughnut shape with the submunitions in a ring around a hollow center. To make matters worse, they tend to clump rather than be evenly dispersed. Dropped at high speed/low altitude you'll get a fairly tight pattern that's roughly 25x15 meters making it tough to kill more than 1 vehicle. Dropped in a steep dive from 5500m altitude, you'll get a more circular pattern 30-40 meters wide. Given that knowledge, you can get, maybe, 2 BTR-80s. You'll get a T-90 if it's unlucky enough to end up under one of those clumps. TRK files attached. PTAB BTR-80-Views.trk PTAB MBT T-90.trk
  7. None that I’m aware of. As silverdevil notes, you might be better off with a modifier button, rather than a switch. I have used switches but only for entire categories of commands ie. A2A, A2G, Enroute. But I still prefer modifiers, since there’s nothing to forget. The modifier is either pressed or it’s not. When pressed, it’s active. When not, not.
  8. If your plan is to use a radar guided missile, you still have to use EOS as primary with its FC3 limitations. Select boresight. An IR missile will be automatically selected. Press lock. Whether or not the target is locked, switch to the radar guided missile. Now when the lock is established, EOS passes the target off to radar and your radar missile is launched. This means that you will probably be well within visual range before a missile comes off the rail.
  9. I don't know. When you set similar lighting and contrast conditions, it's not all that different: Given that the Caucasus climate runs from temperate to subtropical to glaciated mountains, it'd be impossible for one set of seasonal trees to cover it all, as draconus notes. So compromises needed to be made. My "complaint" would be that autumnal leaves remain on far too many trees. But I don't imagine that's going to change anytime soon.
  10. It has everything to do with AI FM. The new General AI FM will replace their current FM with one which is realistic. Currently they can defy the laws of physics. And this is based on what? Just curious.
  11. I think the easiest way to load the skin will be to add it to whatever folder modelviewer2.exe is already at for that aircraft’s skins. Obviously, the above mofication instructions no longer mirror what is currently in the lua file.
  12. According to your screenshot, you have the right and left engines tied to the Warthog throttle. Remove those and see what happens.
  13. You won’t see it for at least as long as Russia remains Putinesque and, then, several years beyond.
  14. Left to right, top to bottom. Attitude Hold :: Route Following (Enroute/Return) :: Emergency Leveling Mode (Panic Mode) Barometric Altitude Hold :: Landing Mode :: Radar Altimeter Hold There’s also Combat Steering Mode, when in A2G and a target or terrain point is locked on the Shkval. The АУ-МАРШР-КВ buttons will be lit. More detail is provided in the manual somewhere around pg 20, I think. Edit: Last time I checked, Landing Mode is still bugged. Don’t use it unless you like crashing. This is true in all FC3 aircraft as well.
  15. My mistake. They’ve added a VR section to the options.lua, since I had last checked one. I was thinking it was only there, if you were using VR. But that section is there for every track regardless. Hope a repair does the trick.
  16. Very strange, indeed. If I take over your track right at the start, I have your issue. If I start it as a mission, there are no issues. The AP works fine. I notice that your voice warnings are in English. Is that selected in the sim? Edit: So clearly something on your end is amiss. If I start it with your settings, etc (in other words, play it as a track file), the issue persists. OTOH, if I start it as a mission, there’s no issue. I tried some edits to try and pinpoint what it might be but, so far, no joy. But it definitely something that would get saved to the track file that’s causing it. You might want to rename your DCS folder in Saved Games and let the sim create a new one. Then see if the problem still exists with the new. Edit 2: Thinking that it might be something in the track section's options.lua, I tried replacing it. No difference. So I'm at a loss, unless it has something to do with VR.
  17. You’re using the Mercury pod and, yes, it’s a reported bug with that pod introduced in the last update.
  18. Your death experience in the sim all depends on how you’ve lived your life until that point. It’s all part of DCS making the sim as real as possible. It’s always quiet and peaceful for me…
  19. It’ll be interesting to see what happens in your TRK. All modes work fine on my end. Just a thought. Is there, by any chance, a failure set in the mission? It’s been awhile since I set one in the ME, but I think AP failure was one.
  20. Please remove the mods and see if the issue persists.
  21. Any mods? Especially but not limited to the FC3 clickable cockpit mod.
  22. The mission plays completely different for me. The B-52x2 kill their assigned units in a single pass. The B-52x4 group dropped all their bombs in a single pass. I think there was 1 T-80 left. The B-1B group focused on the BPMs. Once they were destroyed (it took several passes), they took out the lone T-80. All ground units were destroyed. I wasn’t paying attention to altitudes. So I can’t speak to that.
