  1. I have two DSD button boxes. Occasionally they will swap key bindings so that the bindings on the right one show up on the left one and vise versa. Is there a way to keep this from happening? Once it does happen, is there a way to swap the device id's? thanks for any help
  2. Is there a way tnullo get rid of this window? it shows up in my hmd and is very distracting. thanks
  3. I need some instruction on the cross eyed app. I tried the suggested swap and the result was a weird fish eye effect that is awful. i tried to get the app to appear to reverse my changes but cannot seem to get it to work. The autoexec file was removed to the desktop. Relaunched dcs….did not work. Put the autoexec file back and launched dcs…..did not work. Any help would be appreciated so far I am mixed on the hmd. It does not seem to be much better in terms of display quality than my G2….when looking at the vitrual, desktop, the fonts are not very clear. sys: i9-13900k msi 4090 64gb mem
  4. Thanks for your help. I am running 5.1 using 6 tranducers. So I am trying to modify the files in the stock 6 folder. After I successfully modify them I will save them to my custom 6 folder. On the effect files in the stock 6 folder: When I import an effect into Audacity, there are 6 audio files numbered from 1 to 6 for that effect. I assume that each file outputs to a specific output on the sound card. The question is which output each number represents. 1=FL 2+FR etc. The other question is how to find out what the stock frequencies are for each file. At this point I can't figure out how to do that in Audacity. DId Andre assign 1 frequency to all of the files or did he use different frequencies for each effect? These are what I am trying to find out currently. My strategy is this. Lets say file 6 is output to the sub output on my sound card. My BK concert is connected to that output. I would load up the effect into Audacity which would show 6 files for that effect. I would generate a 9Hz file at 48000 16bit the same length in milliseconds. Then I would delete the stock file 6 and rename my 9 Hz file to the same name as the stock file 6. Then save the file to my custom 6 folder. If you are anyone can let me know if I am on the right track, It would be appreciated a LOT! Maybe Andre can chime in and educate me too......lol
  5. Thanks for the info. I read your other posts about modifying the stock sounds to fit your specific bass shakers. The thing is that I have no clue as to the specific steps to do that. I have loaded, for instance, hp_4_0_1, which is Runway/Taxi Bumps, into Audacity. I see the six different files for that particular sound. I just don't have any idea of: 1. where the output of those files are going. i.e. FR,FL, RL,RR,SUB, or Center. 2. How to change the frequency/ volume of each file 3. Then how to export the changes once they are made. I am in the process of finding out the resonant frequencies of each of my different bass shakers. I assume that I want to change the stock Frequencies to these? The BK Concert spec sheet shows that it's resonant frequency is 9Hz. Do I then generate a 9Hz file from the website that you recommend and replace the specific file that outputs to this shaker? AS you can see, I am dazed and confused......lol UPdate: I have figured out how to generate a sine tone in Audacity and add it to the stock sound file as track 7. Now all I have to do if find out the output of files 1 thru 6. Once I do, I will rename the file that I generated to that file name and delete the original. The save the file to my custom/6 folder. Does this sound about right?
  6. Are there any good instructions for changing the default files to fit my rig bass shakers. I have ADX Maximus on FL and FR,BK Advanced on RL RR, BK concert on SUB and TST239 on center. I would like to come up with custom files that would utilize those shakers to their fullest. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  7. I get the attached notice after I updated today. I did a repair but no help. Anyone have any advise?
  8. Thanks again. I found the developer option. Then downloaded the SDK installer. Then closed MSFS and simshaker app. Then I ran the installer. After that , I launched MSFS2020, and then Simshaker. On the special services tab , I still get red x. Is there a step that I am Missing. I tried launching simshaker first then MSFS but no joy.
  9. Thanks for the quick reply......but..... I have no idea what you mean. I tried to find a way to "go into developer mode" but cannot seem to find a way. Any chance of a tutorial of sorts? thanks again
  10. Any word on msfs 2020 and simshaker for aviators integration?
  11. After yesterdays DCS open beta update, I am getting nothing from aviators. I downloaded the latest beta for aviators and the latest beta for the sound module. Testing is good to the jetseat and buttkickers, Just nothing coming out of DCS. Anyone else experiencing this?
  12. Hi, I have also had the same issues on a recent build. I was getting a similar result as you have shown in task manager. After trying ALL the various tricks and settings that have been posted, none of them worked for me, I decided to try and eliminate possible hardware sources of the problem. I shut down my computer and dis-connected all of my usb devices. I have a lot! lol I rebooted and fired up DCS and the stutters were gone! So, I reconnected one device at a time to try and isolate the offending one. It turns out that one of my USB external powered hubs was causing the issue. I tested several times and could make the game stutter and then not stutter, so I know this is the problem. Bear in mind I kept note of where I had all my devices plugged in and I plugged and unplugged each device into the same physical port on the computer. On a whim, I decided to plug the offending USB hub into a different port, and the stutters did not come back!!!!! I have no idea on why this worked for me but wanted to share in case someone else wants to try and see if this works for them. All this time, I was cussing DCS for bad performance and it turns out my computer was the culprit. Happy flying!
  13. I cannot seem to get simshaker for aviators to work with simtools. Simshaker wheels works fine. The log file show no errors. I can test the motors in my jetseat, just no vibrations in game. Anyone else having problems getting these two apps to behave with each other. Any help would be appreciated.
  14. Just to confirm, I am experiencing the same issue. I hope ED gets this fixed fairly quickly. The P51 is my favorite!
