  1. What I do is use the hmd and center to that with dms right long. It's actually better since you can center wherever you're looking. If you want to center boresight, look straight ahead. Just be sure to setup your hmd crosshair to be on vs occluded. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  2. Ralfidude has been putting together a great tutorial series Start here: Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

  5. The real solution is something like the pimax 8kx with very wide fov, then you have the peripheral vision that doesn't require as much head turning Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  6. Just set the first hmcs setting of crosshair to on instead of occluded and you can reset to to that if your hmd is soi and looking through hud, works better anyway as it resets to anywhere you look. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  7. This is the biggest reason to carry Ls Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  8. I don't think there are many here using them. You may be the only one [emoji846]. Speaking for myself, I'd love to hear from someone that has them and how well they work with DCS. So please, figure it out and post your results. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  9. I had same problem tonight in a 30 to 35 degree dive. Do we need to go steeper than that? I'll do some more testing tomorrow. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  10. Yes, this newly-introduced behavior with f10 map is very bothersome Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  11. Gazelle is most fun for me, just have to tweak your controls to get it feeling just right Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  12. After some more testing, the furthest out I'm able to lock a mav f is 6 nm. Most need to be 5 nm or less. Definitely has been reduced, but I am about to lock. Haven't tried night yet. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  13. I was able to lock with mav Fs today Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  14. I always use jdams. No issues for me. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  15. As you slew the cursor over targets you need to adjust the radar elevation to encase the bandit's altitude, other factors apply like distance and how many bars you are scanning. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  16. It's no better in open beta. This began with the 2.5.6 patch. I haven't seen anywhere that ED had acknowledged the problem. I stopped posting about it, have installed mustang's mod, which makes things bearable. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  17. I really hope the pic in today's weekend news is a teaser for the Sep patch! Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  18. I tested both the 8kx and Xtal at CES in Vegas. The 8kx definitely better than the Xtal. Xtal had amazingly clear lenses but there were really bad viewing issues - best way I can describe is like when you're looking around in zoom view and everything is distorted, not to that extreme but that same kind of unnatural feel. I did talk to the developer about it, and he is aware and said they are working on improving that. At the time of my visit, their pricing was almost $8k. I asked them if any chance of getting down to the $5k range - they scoffed at that suggestion. So don't expect your $1k dream to ever materialize. But I wouldn't worry about that as the pimax 8kx was a much better experience anyway. *Tested only DCS Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

  20. What is the weight of your aircraft? Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  21. His comparison was pimax 5k and reverb. His analysis is correct, Reverb definitely beats the pimax 5k. However, the pimax 8kx (which I was able to test at CES) is definitely better than the reverb in both visual quality and FOV - by far. So it depends on which headset from pimax someone is referring to. This is also true for the reverb which now has a distinction between G1 and G2. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  22. Thank you! I hated how the lighting was so borked since 2.5.6 and thought for sure ED would have fixed it in the July patch - so disappointed. I still have yet to find any recognition from ED that there is a problem, so I was discouraged thinking that this would never be addressed... then I discover this mod, which fixed everything for me!!! You have my greatest appreciation Mustang!
  23. Actually the Jester system takes away from realism with it's pop up GUI and canned responses. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  24. The cockpits are clickable to be clicked though. Nice setup btw Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
