  1. What are you estimating the shipping to be on these? Is this essentially the Orion 2 HOTAS MAX on the Winwing site, or are there additional items included?
  2. ditto. I set up a web service to monitor the page for changes. That's how bad I wanted this ASAP.
  3. I've got a question about pixel density. Are we supposed to be using the PD slider in DCS or the Steam VR settings? I see a noticeable difference in going from PD 1.5 vs 1.7 or 1.8 using the slider in DCS, but haven't been able to get any changes to occur from the Steam VR app. I only ask because someone else I was talking to said he exclusively uses the Steam VR settings. Just curious what I might be doing wrong, if anything.
  4. Interestingly enough I was just messing with this yesterday. At the time I didn't understand exactly what the spin recovery switch would do, I just turned it on and waited for magic, I guess. Anyway, I got the bird spinning pretty dang good at about the 1 min mark of this video. As someone else pointed out, I later read that the switch just basically overrides any computer input or lack thereof into the controls when a pilot is trying to recover. What I've found is that this plane appears to be pretty docile for the most part and I had to work pretty hard to get the turn rate cranked up. I didn't do a great recovery as I was more interested in what little input could be given and not crash, but I almost managed to accomplish that at the same time.
  5. Couple of questions I thought of while brainstorming your issue. 1. Did you click "reset category to default" for both columns 2. Did you load NOiD's diff files for each category? He has 3. One for keyboard, one for buttons and one for axes. Let us know if the repair fixes it.
  6. Odd thing I noticed today was that I also needed fingerlifts in the air with it enabled. If I unchecked the box, everything works as expected.
  7. I know this isn't a lot of help, but I am using the exact same configuration right now for the F18 and it works fine. I wish there was a way we could "easily" screen share or something so I could take a look. I'm using the warthog hotas, thrustmaster rudder, NOiD profile and F18. No issues with rudder at all, and I've never had an issue with it. Sounds like christiankirk has done just about everything I would have had you try.
  8. Did you right click in the space where the pylon is and select "remove pylon"?
  9. How are you getting them to work? I was using the carrier takeoff Instant Action in PG and when I removed the pylon by right clicking and then asked for rearming, they never disappear.
  10. It only worked halfway realistically before. In the original release you had to use fingerlifts to get into full AB on a carrier takeoff. Now you can choose one or the other.
  11. So, there are two ways to go into AB with WoW and launch bar or hook down. These are discussed in NATOPS. The first way is with the fingerlifts, and the second is by applying a certain amount of force to go through the gate. I'm sure this is why AEW didn't mention it, I bet hardly anyone IRL uses the fingerlifts for that function since you can just push through it. I actually think the button to turn off fingerlifts for AB is a good idea. It lets me program that button to something else since IRL I'd probably push through it anyway.
  12. For the people asking about the first 10% of throttle, just wanted to make sure you were aware that there is a flight idle of sorts. It is mentioned in NATOPS. It is supposed to help with getting from idle to MIL in a shorter time. I never noticed it until I started messing with the curve for the AB. If you hold the fingerlift key and advance and reduce power again it goes to full idle. So some of your experiences may be attributed to that feature.
  13. Some kind of change was made with that on this latest update. I can confirm that fingerlifts are now not required with WoW with launch bar down. EDIT: There is a now a box to check or uncheck in the "SPECIAL" settings of the main menu that is labeled AFTERBURNER DETENT.
  14. Thank you for your outstanding contributions. This is my first time reading one of your guides, and I'm really impressed with the amount of time you have dedicated for other members of the community.
  15. Thank you for the detailed response. I prefer the analog sticks primarily due to cost and what I'm sinking that money into. I keep watching your website nearly every day for preorders to open on them, so hopefully I can get in there!
