  1. I'll admit, it has taken me 3 months to finally understand what in the world you did in that lua formula! I started doing the spitfire in preparation for the mossie (waiting for free trial period to start, eventually). I did the values via my old way of equations, with one having a 5th order polynomial. Whatever gets the job done I guess. After failing to get a good solution for the chaff/flare readouts I tried your method of linear interpolation within the table and it has been working fine for me for the F14B airspeed readout. Pretty spot on, no complaints. When I finally get my hands on the mossie I'll be glad to be skipping the step of using excel and copy-pasting the formula that pops out. Sure, your function may be slower, but the update rate is still fast enough to feel fine. That, plus rounding off the final digit for stuff like altimeter readings and no-one will know the difference!
  2. Are you looking for a solution, fix, or a new implementation? I think I see the counters in the jet as IDs 392-395. I have tried, but about 1 out of every 10 or so smooth rotations does not update the output for some reason. I have noticed quite a lot of "jitter" on the animation output. Maybe it wont update due to too many jitter calculations?
  3. Download here: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3318506/ Expand the use of the JF-17 with this Standalone DTC! At any time you can access the Special Menu options and ALL of the comm radio presets that are not normally modifiable within the game itself. You have the options to Import, Export, and even Backup all of these settings. Check out the pics and check it out! So here's the use case demo. You turn on DCS. You join a server. You look at the briefing and then jump in a JF-17. During your preflight you are like, "oh no!", the mission maker didn't put all the radio freqs we need in comm channel presets 1 thru 21! You hop over to the Jeff DTC, type in the presets you need and write a note per preset (like "GaW common"). Then you hit export, respawn, and there you go! You have all the radio comm presets you need. The notes are an added bonus. The utility saves the notes with the preset comm file so when you hop on a different server and repeat the process above you know which channels you have modified and what they are for, assuming you wrote a note for it. There are 200 preset channels so can effectively have the presets set for all of your favorite servers all at the same time. Feel free to contact me on the ED forums (Bailey) or better yet, on Discord (Bailey#6230). Remember that comments, questions, critiques, and requests are always welcome! Huge thank you to Deka for the awesome dev cycle of the JF-17. ~Bailey SEP2021 DCS Version: JF-17 Standalone DTC Github: https://github.com/asherao/JF17StandaloneDTC Join Bailey's VoiceAttack Discord here: https://discord.gg/PbYgC5e If you are feeling charitable, please feel free to donate. 4. I have started labeling the non-clickable animations. I'll be using Github for hosting and updates: https://github.com/asherao/DCS-ExportScripts/blob/master/ExportsModules/MosquitoFBMkVI.lua. Thanks @bones1014 for the lua of the clickables! If anyone knows or finds more animations feel free to let me know so that I can add them. There are about 40 unknown/unfound animations. Good hunting! I'll be focusing on some features that I might want to see on a Mossie streamdeck.
  5. I'm glad you were able to get it working. I fixed the Mi-24p.lua link. Are there any other broken links on your side?
  6. Yes. It is the same process for the other lights in the cockpit like the autopilot lights. The IDs are 225, 226, 227, 229, 230, and 231, which are already in the lua and notated as "Landing Light [direction] Brightness" Range is 0.0 to 1.0. If you need more guidance, let me know.
  7. It looks like the most recent version of DCS has reverted the IC changes that effected DiCE. Feel free update DCS and then re-enable/re-download DiCE! https://forums.eagle.ru/topic/247605-dice-dcs-integrated-countermeasure-editor-by-bailey/
  8. Thanks for this feature, it is much appreciated and it works great! I am currently working on a "Jf17 Standalone DTC" which includes a comms tab. ETA: who knows Maybe more things can be exposed in this way in the future to enable the creation of other DTC-like functions via an external tool such as laser settings and waypoints. I don't know how feasible it would be able to land (or spawn), remove the DTC, hop out of DCS for a bit to use the tool, export, and then pop the DTC back in with the changed values. Again, thanks for the flexibility and agility on the Jf17 development!
  9. Try RShift + \ or RShift + M a few times. It changes the Receive Mode for FC3 aircraft.
  10. FAQs udpate: Q: Is DiCE IC safe? A: Yes, DiCE passes Integrity Check so you can use it for Single Player and Multiplayer. Note, as of DCS version, DiCE no longer passes IC. Input has been passed to ED here: https://forums.eagle.ru/topic/282040-custom-cmds-lua-now-breaking-ic/?do=findComment&comment=4775516
  11. Hello, I am the creator of DiCE, a popular mod that enables you to use the ingame special menu to change aircraft countermeasure profiles, much like the JF17. Here is the forum thread with links to the ED Userfiles download, UI pictures, and the Github which contains the code for DiCE itself. https://forums.eagle.ru/topic/247605-dice-dcs-integrated-countermeasure-editor-by-bailey I have confirmed that changes to these files do not pass IC. I as well as others in the community believe that DiCE is a legitimate mod.
  12. When I see flashing on the Stream Deck it is usually (always?) a result of a duplicated export. I search for the duplicate and delete it. One of the popular F14 luas has many.
  13. If you could post the profile (vap file) it may help people see what may be going on.
  14. Nice. Can this be adapted to other aircraft with similar airspeed dials by changing the local x and y values?
  15. So do, some dont. You can make your own by referencing the voiceattack readme and exporting the list.
  16. DCS Bios communicates with DCS to provide cockpit data and to “flip switches and stuff”. Typically there are three main uses for DCS Bios. Reading switch positions, reading instruments, and interacting with the cockpit (flipping switches for example). These help enable the use of 3rd party apps and utilities such as custom button boxes to talk to dcs. Some of the VA profiles require DCS Bios, but most do not. The readme file will clearly say if DCS Bios is required.
  17. Yes. There are basically two ways to do this that I know of off the top of my head. Method 1 - Writing your own function in the aircraft.lua. This method will allow you to print the entire freq (or whatever you want) to a button. Method 2 - Using the position of a single knob to print the correlated value on the stream deck button. This method will allow you to both have a display of the freq, one number per button and will allow you to press the buttons to increase/decrease the values. I believe I use both methods in the ARC radio for the Mi24P profile I made, located here: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3317284/ Take a look at the screenshots. I hope you will be able to find some insight when you take a look at the code.
  18. By using the "Comm" command following "F1".."F12", yes.

  20. DCS WAIFU has been updated. it no longer creates errors in the dcs.log file.
  21. DiCE has been updated. It no longer creates errors in the dcs.log file.
  22. I have just updated DCS Module Hider (DMoHi) https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3312052/ to v5.1. It will get rid of those extra DiCE icons and more if you like.
