VR Shaders mod for better VR experience
wju replied to Kegetys's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Hi, my workaround to get IC pass version is to download the latest version of the mod from the first page of this tread and delete all but files, one can find in the version attached. Never had a problem to log into a server. The frametime gain is not as the original mod, but still significant as masking works pretty well. DCS VR 2.5.6.47224_IC_OK.zip -
well, spyglass is nice but there is never enough zoom in cockpit. I use Lite version of kegetys mod to be able login on MP, kegetys lite gives me some more space for GPU as I am on Reverb@1080Ti; not much at all, but it is measurable, every tenth of ms counts.... would be great to have both - kegetys mod and your zoom

Virtual Pilot's Hand - Mouse Pointer as a Cockpit Device
wju replied to Captain Orso's topic in DCS Core Wish List
by progress I mean "option to switch off head tracking"; something like this: posted already here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4201311&postcount=16 -
Nice! Thanks! I did my own in the meantime, but this one looks much better :-)

Virtual Pilot's Hand - Mouse Pointer as a Cockpit Device

any progress in this area? VR pointing device support in clickable cocpits or at least "freeze the blue cross head-tracking " to help use mouse or any other substitution? -
A request to ED : Keybind for switching 'Use Mouse' setting in flight

fpsVR is great tool, but color corrections does not work for Reverb: https://steamdb.info/patchnotes/4209621/ we need in game color corrections https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=252118

ask lefuneste to tune his 3dmigoto mod for you, mod has some preset color options or tune his mod yoursefl anyway, we need color correction in game

[REPORTED] Spitfire propeller with motion smoothing/ASW
wju replied to Reflected's topic in Bugs and Problems
Thanks!!! -
yes, I did few months ago, and after I realised how horrible is Normandy optimized, stopped playing this mission very disappointed. (but still hope that Ugra pulls himself together, and fix it) Go for the one for caucasus, it is much better regarding performance

HP Reverb Or Rift S with 1080Ti, 4770k, 16GB RAM
wju replied to Cavemanhead's topic in Virtual Reality
@Cavemanhead I have 1080Ti and Reverb - must be said, that performance strongly depends on situation i.e SP/MP, ww2 bird/high end jet , Caucasus forest/Nevada desert, mission population etc... the difference is HUGE you can fly FA18 above Nevada desert in multiplayer populated by 20+pilots and have steady 90FPS you can sit into yak on Gulf airport with few AI singleplayer and will get stutter, because... ...because matter knows.. :smartass: and I am affraid, it is regardless You wear Reverb or Rift That is the reality :) -
[REPORTED] Spitfire propeller with motion smoothing/ASW
wju replied to Reflected's topic in Bugs and Problems
I own Spit, (besides Dora, Mess, Mustang), for more than 1,5 year now; beautiful and iconic bird, nice skins, really good fly model, but... ...but as I fly VR only, until now, I´ve spent less than ONE hour in Spit´s cockpit, only because of this issue. In contrary, I fly all my three other ww birds pretty frequently. one cannot beliewe, that this thread started almost three years ago.. ...sad story :(:(:( -
no, it does not... :-( what works is Open VR Advanced Settings, see my previous post above, even color adjustment is included, (a bit weird - combined opacity and gain/or add maybe) but definitelly works.. tricky setting, especially floor adjustment, but worth the effort, PS: check six included! :-) https://github.com/matzman666/OpenVR-AdvancedSettings

A request to ED : Keybind for switching 'Use Mouse' setting in flight
wju replied to lucky-hendrix's topic in Virtual Reality
 I vote for this with one extension: in game optional switch between "exclusive mouse cursor position" and "exclusive head-tracking cursor position" ...or at least, a button "park the blue cross on this knob" as far as i am aware, we have only "exclusive head-tracking cursor position" option. why? there are rotary knobs, which needn´t be watched all the time when tunning; what more, sometimes it is better to observe the tunning effect by looking outside of cockpit (axis trims etc) cheers -
I have opposite problem: my Reverb is too bright for me, therefore have to reduce gamma to ~1.5 (or even less, depends on day time) and consequently colors became a bit over saturated fpsVR did not work in my case, but have found another workaround: OpenVR Advanced Settings; here one can reduce brightness to acceptable level; then DCS gamma correction needn´t be so strong and colors looks natrurally anyway, human perception can vary, device behavior can vary, we definitely need in-game color corrections, see my item on the wishlist: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=252118 :-)

hmm, I am really unsure where is reprojection calculated and also wonder, that no one can answer, just guess or speculation (like i do ). Everyone is smart like TV, but evidence based valid info is lacking. Based on my last readings on microsoft pages, I quess, the reprojection is calculated on GPU, but really guessing. regarding on/off: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/mixed-reality/enthusiast-guide/using-steamvr-with-windows-mixed-reality scroll down to "Enabling motion reprojection for SteamVR Apps"
