  1. I'd love it if you raised this in your priority list, to me it is the single biggest issue the C-101 has and really hurts my enjoyment of the module. There are quite a few other DCS devs that have made the F-10 map a means to create waypoints for weapons, along with data card use and laser code settings that can only be done on the ground using the kneeboard, it seems to me that this would be a workable solution that the C-101 could employ. Thanks for your consideration, it's just the one thing I wish I could do, use the C-101 in the anti-ship role on a multiplayer server, as it is it can't be done.
  2. I second this, to me it really lets down a module I previously quite liked and looked forward to the big FM update, now it looks like it shouldn't be airborne with it's rotor spinning slow and jerky.
  3. thankyou so much for this explanation, I couldn't figure it out on my own, tried a few different things that were all basically rounding up and down and obviously not working, and thought I was going mad.
  4. why is everyone so fixated on release dates or delays? In what way has the mossie delay hurt you?
  5. well, if it makes you feel any better, the sale finishing at 1500GMT means it did end at midnight in Sydney Australia, so it ended at the end of the day somewhere.
  6. could someone direct me to a link, or possibly quickly explain to me how you can add the HGU visor to a livery please, is it just a description file change, or do I need to do more. Thanks for helping guys, it would mean a lot.
  7. seems fine to me, just as easy to navigate as the old one, same categories, just looks different.
  8. Manual bombing is all about flying precisely and repeatedly, over and over and over. You need to approach the target with a set offset to the target itself. You need to approach at a set altitude. You need to approach at a set airspeed. You need to dive at a set angle. You need to release at a set altitude. You need to release at a set airspeed. This isn't easy to get right, not easy to do once, and not easy to do every time. The only way to get it right is to practice it a hell of a lot, take note of where you were imprecise, make a correction, and try again. Take note of where the bomb lands, and make sighting corrections to suit. In real life, most bombs will miss, the wind will blow them off target, the pilot will make an error, it's not easy and most will miss. That is normal, accept that and just focus on reducing the CEP (circle error probable) by being as accurate as you can and the hits will come.
  9. Well the plan as far as I've seen mentioned by ED is we're getting a Lot 20 F/A-18C as of ~2008, roughly the same year for the F-16C. I'm not sure if a time frame was set regarding the A-10C II. This makes carryover of weapons like the APKWS potentially not possible for the Hornet or Viper, since the APKWS entered service from 2012. APKWS simply wasn't available for a 2008 Hornet.
  10. It was mentioned in the patch notes. go to the patch notes, find the section on the Hornet, it's the 4th item from the bottom.
  11. That's awesome to hear BIGNEWY, can't wait to see it again someday. I would like to offer a suggesting though, if possible, instead of free weekends could we have a free week or something like that? It's just that the 4th gen fighters in particular can take a while to get the hang of and a bit more time in one go, rather then multiple short amounts of time, can really help get people into a new airframe and get them addicted to it. I noticed a few of our server members were a bit uninterested after a free weekend because they found the modules confusing, but the same guys fell in love during the free months and then bought the modules. Anyway, that's just a suggestion. Thanks again.
  12. have you ever reported them? I've found most devs are happy to receive those reports and make the changes fairly quickly.
  13. Just because the tpod can do something, doesn't mean you'll ever want to. The Hornet can do manual bombing, but almost nobody ever does it.
  14. I couldn't disagree any more then I do right now. My experience has been 2.5 onwards has massively improved the graphic performance of DCS, I have even lifted my settings to near max now. Also, the last thing I want is DCS to stop taking advantage of new hardware, we're living with a legacy of that right now with DCS having such a reliance on single core performance. Not that great. If DCS doesn't keep improving then DCS will get left behind, if DCS doesn't make use of new hardware then people will leave DCS behind. Just look at the response from people regarding MSFS2020's weather and environmental effects, it hasn't even released yet and people are already saying that is the standard to meet. If you stand still, you get left behind.
  15. That "empty WIP" area you speak of isn't WIP at all, it's outside the terrain. The only reason it's represented at all is because the only other choice would be to have the end of the world be there, and that would kill the immersion. Every other map in DCS has a flat area surrounding it, it doesn't mean it was ever going to have more content in it.
  16. everyone is jumping straight to reinstalling, but have you tried setting "BALT" then rolling? it works for me everytime. Surely it couldn't hurt to try it before jumping straight to the nuclear option?
  17. well that took 20 seconds. You're not level when you press "BALT", you're rolling first. Get level, press "BALT", THEN roll to 30 degrees (or whatever).
  18. I pretty much only use "BALT" and I use it to orbit all the time, never seen it increase bank angle. The only other mode I use is HSEL, usually when I'm inroute and heads down. I honestly don't understand how you guys are having difficulty with this, but if it works for me I can only assume either pilot error or control input error at your end. Possibly you've misunderstood what the AP modes are and are expecting them to do different things then they can? Possibly you're not actually engaging "BALT"? Are you seeing the colon ( : ) next to "BALT" when depressed? Probably showing an in cockpit video would help clear this up?
  19. I've been looking for the correct order, thanks.
  20. Maybe ED wanted people to use the encrypted version, they went to the trouble of encrypting their files after all.
  21. How can I report a spelling error in the MB-339A User Manual.pdf? On page 75, you have "Notes on HIS use", it should read "Notes on HSI use". Sorry if this has already been reported.
  22. I'm not sure you can make the uhf switch into a changing tracks button. Here's one way to convert mp3 to ogg https://www.zamzar.com/convert/mp3-to-ogg/
  23. I haven't done this, so this is more a "how I would try to do this" then an instruction of how to do this. Firstly decide on the music you want to listen too, a single track, an album, a series of albums, whatever. Now you have to convert your files into .ogg files, that is the audio file type DCS uses. (for extra bonus points you can join tracks into single long tracks and convert them into one long .ogg file, this is how I have hours of rock and metal music in my F-14 tape player :) keep the file sizes small as possible, sacrifice quality for file size, this is radio after all, radio usually sounds pretty crap. In the mission editor Place an unit on the map and make it broadcast a radio frequency, I'm not sure what exactly does this, but it'll be there somewhere. Make a trigger that will make the unit broadcasting the .ogg file at mission start. Now you only need to tune to that frequency to hear the good sounds. If your file is long enough it will be there for the duration of your flight. Make a couple other .ogg files and have them selected by a random number generator so you don't get bored with the radio station you made. Good luck, let us know if it works :)
