  1. Will 1.2 Black Shark Mission Editor have any work done to it? If so can you give us an idea of what we MIGHT see if all goes as planned? This is an issue that is being raised more and more in the community so I might as well ask as it seems you respond really well to direct questions. Thanks for any information regarding the Mission Editor in Black Shark that you can give us.
  2. Dude, you hit the nail on the head all the way around!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. Colt, I appreciate the comments but no need to do that. I have other plans in the making for blackseaops.com.
  4. Well this IS disappointing!!!!!!! I paid for the blackseaops.com and the hosting for a year and offered it up at no cost to the developers of this campaign. I put up with the delays and changes in focus of the project that prolonged this, and now I have to find out via the message boards, no previous contact regarding this, that it is prolonged indefinitely. Really disappointing T-Bone and BSO bosses. EDIT: I have changed all passwords for FTP and OPS access so you all no longer have access to anything. :(
  5. There is no readme. What directory do I extract this file too?
  6. Mark, Area 51 is an integral part of the development of FO. Why you think it is OK for you, as a representative of ED, to talk negative a part of FO, yet Buckshot, can't express his PERSONAL opinion about an ED product, just amazes me. That sir is a double standard. If you don't see that then I won't be able to convince you that it is indeed and truly unfair treatment of Buckshot. We'll just agree to disagree, I guess. :( :(
  7. Area 51 is part of XSI and Fighter Ops, Mark. Not a lecture, but more disbelief that someone I respect holds a double standard for themselves when it comes to voicing your PERSONAL opinion. It is OK for you but not for someone else? C'mon Mark! :(
  8. Well that goes for you to as a Moderator and ED Beta Tester Mark! You represent ED and with that comes a lot of responsibility in public forums. Sound familiar? I can't believe you are lecturing him on his responsibility and you did the same exact thing he did.........gave your PERSONAL negative opinion on their Area 51. This thread needs to be closed. You are taking shots at someone, Mark, and that is highly inappropriate as a Moderator and a representative of ED, on a public forum, which you moderate no less!
  9. I would also pay for a dynamic mission builder or Campaign.
  10. It is also a product that hasn't been seen since 2000 when EECH was released.............a Hi Fidelity Chopper sim with all those advanced technologies and such. Black Shark is very important to flight simming and the ED line of flight sims as they add more and more to each product.
  11. WOW Mark, that was a low blow. Buckshot gave his PERSONAL opinion. Just like you have your opinion about Area 51. Should he shove that in your face and say that it reflects badly upon you as a person, a beta tester (part of the dev team), and a moderator for Black Shark/LOMAC forums? Hardly my friend. We all have our PERSONAL opinions and he gave it. Just as you did about Area 51, but no one questioned your character. I can't believe you stooped that low! :(
  12. Area 51 is a choice. You don't have to join. It is also a way to make revenue for a team that has never had revenue and is trying to make a benchmark sim. It replaces the revenue from a publisher. These days you have to get money where you can to pay for the tools of the trade that you need to accomplish your goal. Without that revenue (and investors) then you wouldn't be able to set such lofty goals and put up a high quality, "Hard Core" sim.
  13. I'll certainly buy 1.2, without a doubt. If nothing more than to support ED and their building of flight sims. But my interest will wane considerably if follow on projects do not have some sort of "replayability" engine (Read - Dynamic Misison or Campaign Builder) added on. ED has already said that it is planned for follow on projects so I am optimistic, but I also have a side that says, "I will believe it when I see it". If nothing else, give Swingkid full support so he can build his project (Skywars 2) and allow that support to continue so he can make it work with each project, or build one themselves, but this reliance on the community for canned missions and campaigns makes LOMAC an also ran, though at the top of the also ran list ,with Janes F-18, though JF-18 had more tools in it's Mission Builder to simulate a living world.
  14. Will the fix be released in another patch or do we wait for Black Shark? I ask because I recall Matt saying 1.12 was the last patch for FC. ("Thanks to ED and all the testers for the big effort getting the final patch for Flaming Cliffs out.")
  15. OK thanks Greco. I know during beta testing of the original LOMAC, we ran into this problem a few times and it was fixed by the next beta build. I wonder if it popped up again? Was just trying to eliminate reasons. ijozic - Thanks for your constructive post. Your help really went a long way in trying to figure this out. Like it or not, patching to a previous install has been a problem (sometimes so subtle, people don't even know for a while) with the LOMAC line since LOMAC 1.0. But I wouldn't know.
  16. I understand but was the mission made fresh with 1.12a or made from 1.12 or 1.11 or any previous build?
  17. Good info. Is this a mission made from a previous build or made with 1.12a?
  18. Hate to beat a dead horse, but I wonder of those having problems with SAMS if they fresh installed FC and then patched to 1.12a or if they patched over 1.11 and FC?
  19. It wasn't just because of the Frugals fiasco. That was but a small small reason. They are busy with other business contracts for their products and don't have the time to sell to the open market. Good people. I hope someday they can be convinced to sell to the open market, but it won't be anytime soon.
  20. Good point Mustang. Addendum: Prior to REBOOT, Insert, Install Seasons Pack. Gentlemen, please keep this on topic and take the Bug report to the proper thread. Thanks a bunch.
  21. Everyone, I know we all would like to patch up to the latest patch by just patching over the install you have now. But I have learned through many years of simming, beta testing, and experience with LOMAC in particular that YOU MUST PATCH TO A FRESH INSTALL to get ALMOST gauranteed results. Now some of you are going to say hey, no problems here patching over so SHADDUP Dusty, others will claim the sim is borked (as seen in another thread or two) when patching over. If you want the highest possibility of having a trouble free install with no weirdness YOU MUST PATCH TO A FRESH INSTALL! I respect everyones opinion on this but I have been with LOMAC since a year prior to it's release and have learned, FRESH INSTALL everytime and you will get the desired results. If you try it any other way, you mileage may vary, do it at your own risk, objects might appear closer then they really are, but please do not claim it is borked. Just a tip from your Uncle Dusty that I hope people will listen to. Guide to fresh install that works for me EVERYTIME: Uninstall using START/Control Panel/Add Remove Programs, Uninstall all that is LOMAC. Go to the place where you have installed all that is LOMAC (default is Program Files) and Delete the Ubi Soft folder that it installs under. MANY FORGET THIS STEP and end up with all kinds of weirdness and problems when they go to install again. Install LOMAC Install 1.1 Install 1.12 Patch REBOOT (some forget to do this. It is part of my install routine that has eliminated much weirdness) Install smile. Reset up your LOMAC. Hope this helps someone out there.
