  1. Clearly a bug I couldn't find other threads about it. You get hit, you start vibrating .. ok cool .. you put the heli down safely and switch everything off .. rotor and engines stop but chopper keeps vibrating. I think this is something that needs fixing. cheers
  2. Hi KretoFrilk, I have a question. Others are having your same problem. Everyone has by now realized that switching to "low" textures does fix it. Anyway everyone is still wondering what's the root cause of this. Did you manage to understand what exactly is causing this issue? Why having textures set to "high" causes the crashes? Thanks for any insight you might have. Stefano
  3. " Extended command set is currently disabled in preferences. " Anyone ??
  4. Blank Template Mission link broken
  5. :helpsmilie: Hi guys, so .. i might need some help here. I have iControl DCS app from Bit Shift Software and an iPad. Awesome application isn't it? Sweet. I have now purchased another app (one of the many available) that allows me to use the iPad as an extra screen. I have told Windows to extend my desktop into it.. Now i was hoping to drag the 2 MFDs and the CDU into this extended portion of the desktop but iControl DCS is still looking at my main monitor's portion of it therefore when i launch DCS the instrumentation still appear overlapping my main view . I basically need iControl DCS app to be pointed elsewhere (the extended portion of the desktop) to allow me to drag the instrumentation (MFDs and CDU) away from the main DCS view... Should I use the iPad not as an extended desktop but as a separate extra monitor maybe? If so, again, how do i tell iControl DCS to look at this new monitor instead of the main one? any suggestion? Thanks in advance. (P.S. I could not find anything in the forum or elsewhere which addressed this specific question. If the question is already been answered somewhere else please point me in the right direction). :helpsmilie:
  6. I have exactly the same problem.. the F18 was working just fine than all of a sudden it stopped working without any change on my system that I can remember. Out of the blue.. Any idea? [FIXED] Downloaded DCS Updater GUI Utility, ran "Update", "Repair" and "Clean" functions. Launched DCS World now F18 works like a charm.
  7. Hi everyone, when I connect to the server within Simple Radio everything seems to be fine in SRS but I loose every noise related to DCS, it goes totally quite.. Any idea? Thanks
  8. Good morning gentleman, I never tried to get my wingman (A10C) to refuel until yesterday. I managed and here is how. Approach the tanker and fly to his left wing just a bit aft of his position. Tell him you intend to refuel. Get your wingman in close formation. Tell the tanker you'r ready to refuel. Instruct your wingman to "Hit the tanker". The wingman slowly closed in to the tanker and connected. Took him forever to complete. This worked for me :-) What i still have to figure out is how to quickly tell him to disconnect and get back into formation. It seemed like he had to go all the way trough his own process before he decided to get off the tanker and rejoin me.. Anyway I hope this helped. Cheers.
  9. Dear forum, Track IR is usually and normally conveniently positioned over the screen of our computer/laptop. I have personally felt the need to sit closer to the monitor to better read the small numbers/characters thus rendering the distance between the sensor and the reflectors on my hat too close. A part from that I was always seated too high compared to the Track IR sensor which tended to loose sight of the sensors in a head tilted up situation and working with the curvature of the axis did not completely solve the situation. I therefore felt the need to create a support light and that I could take apart for easy packing to be able to position the Track IR sensor wherever i needed it in terms of distance and hight. Here are some pictures I hope you will find this useful. Cheers Stefano
  10. Here is my trick .. come to the bottom of the valley and pickle (Maverik) the first two ZUS23 west of the river.. simultaneusly tell your wingman to engage infantry with unguided bombs, this will achieve two things or three .. first you get a mall SPI on your TAD which is where the wingman is going to drop, very important, slew yout TGP over it and make it your SPI, bomb the area heavily. The second advantage is that if the wingman in his bomb run will hit the infantry they will stop there (allowing you to bomb that point with good chances of killing them). Tell your wingman to rejoin and stay north or he will suicide himself going south of the ridges where a couple of SA9 are waiting.
  11. Yes, exactly the same. Very frustrating.
  12. Hi all, does anybody knows of a tutorial (YouTube or else..) that explains what the various A10C RWR tones mean? I need a video that play the sound and explain what it is.. Thanks Stefano
  13. I have an answer for myself. In Settings/CONTROLS if you run a search with CMSC you end up with about eight results and the only one that seems relevant would be “CMSC JMR key”. Unfortunately this option does not turn the jammer on or of. Instead it cycles trough modes(AAA, SAM 1, SMA 2 .. ). I had to make another search with the world “jammer” to find a new relevant result which was: “HOTAS CMS Z axis” and this obviously is the one we have to assign to whatever we like to finally be able to turn the jammer on or off by ourselves when in SEMI or MAN mode. I hope this information will be useful to someone. It took me days to figure it out. :-)
  14. Hi all, i am trying to find out how to turn on the jammer when in Man or Semi. Everyone seems to agree that it's done with CMS Z axis which is CMS DOWN (or IN) which correspod by default to Keybord "-". Unfortunately this is not working for me as "-" is not activating the jammer instead it cycles trough jammer modes (AAA, SAM1, SAM2 ...). Any idea?
