  1. Well, they're mucho fun. Easier to fly than I anticipated, just the landings are a bit hairy (practice practice etc). I'm able to get the Hughey down in one piece now but it cost the USF three airframes to learn. Lol.
  2. Lol. Talk about synchronicity. Found the offer pack, all four helos for $70. :)
  3. I fancy messing around with a helicopter. I say "messing around" due to the online being next to dead, so I ain't paying $49. So is there a sale on the horizon for any of them? TIA. :)
  4. I've noticed it only when the server population is higher than a handful of flyers.
  5. Thanks BN. I hope none of those "issues" include work on new modules. Current stuff is the priority here, stuff that's already bought and paid for. :)
  6. Thanks, but no answer to the question there. It's been months, needs to be sorted. As I said to Sith, I won't be buying anymore modules until I see evidence of this kind of behaviour changing. I pay primo-prices for primo-product and when I find myself with one that's had a glaring bug like this for months I'm not getting bitten again.
  7. Mig15 flashing textures. Any word on when/if this glaring bug will be fixed on this $50 plane? Real immersion-killer and it's been months, not on really. TIA. :)
  8. I got my first two DCS online kills last night using this tried and tested doctrine. :)
  9. Any news on when this immersion-killing bug that's been known about for months on my $50 product is going to be fixed? Please? Please?
  10. Might be an idea to change the name of the server now.
  11. Maybe think of it as a test in itself, to see if you have an idea of commitment that motivates you to make suffcient contact such that you can ascertain the finer details. :)
  12. It's all here: http://21iap.net/index.html We also have a Discord channel and use SRS. We fly exclusively (thus far) on the Korea 1952 server. If you're interested in flying DiD in Mig15s against Sabres this might be right up your Soviet alley. :)
  13. Only with shaders turned on (outer fuselage). Somebody said it's caused by an inner and the outer model surfaces being too close together (?). It's very immersion-killing so hopefully it's an easy fix.
  14. Dude, it's nothing more than a cut & paste of a few lines of text into your email program, append the relevant numbers to the ends of the lines and send. :) http://21iap.net/combat%20claims.html
  15. Right here does it. :) We have a pilots group on FB too (assuming you're on FB) and forums in the process also. Please send me a friends request. https://www.facebook.com/mestophele
  16. Does sir desire the keys to a shiney new Mig? Comes with free servicing.
  17. A bit more involved than the usual unit, you have to file combat reports and we're Korea-war only (Mig 15). There is a 24/7 server for it however (Korea 1952). :) http://21iap.net/index.html Full instruction and training on the Mig15 provided.
  18. The 21st IAP is a DiD outfit and all kills must be confirmed by a live fellow pilot in order to go up on the board. And if you die (or are captured) your stats get zeroed and you have to start a new persona from scratch (rank, however, is not lost). It's for those who enjoy the added immersion of having something to both gain (awards etc) and lose (awards etc, lol). :)
  19. To be flying the Mig15 on the Korea 1952 server... The DiD (Dead is Dead) concept. At its conception in 1999 the typical mode of online play was basically 'team death match' or 'air quake' as we came to call it, where the pilots from both sides would take off and fly a short distance directly to the known area of combat. While this was fun and honed the talents and abilities of the first online sim pilots, it soon became stale, offering as it did no greater 'purpose' than triumphing in one-to-one combats. It was while reflecting upon this lack of purpose I formulated the DiD concept, which was to both foster a more realistic regard for ones virtual life and offer a framework within which it could matter. The core principle is very simple, and now seems obvious; to reward pilots for their achievements within a realistic online environment and apply a realistic outcome to death or capture. To whit, awards and recognition for successful sorties, displayed publically on a unit website, with the loss of all of them if captured or killed in combat. From this followed the neccessary 'Pilot Persona System', where the player chooses a persona name under which he flies and gains his awards until/if captured or killed. In its heyday this system was used with over 200 active members in an online war that ran missions daily for over a year with the original Ilyushin 2 and subsequent Forgotten Battles. It's obviously not for everyone. While many pilots avoid air quake and seek greater immersion online by choosing to play on servers that offer a broadly realistic environment, some do not have the time and/or inclination to go the extra distance required for maintaining a persona. But for those who do it's being offered here in the latest iteration of the DiD concept, with the 21st IAP. If anyone is interested in this please let me know, it'll determine whether I go with a paid or free domain-host for the website I've made for the unit. TIA.
  20. Coming soon for Korea (1952), 21st IAP. To be flying the Mig15 on the Korea 1952 server... The DiD (Dead is Dead) concept. 21. My guess (re stuttering) is loading of stuff from hard-drive >>>RAM>>>GPU-RAM. And/or background processes interrupting things (of which there are a very great variety).
  22. It would be very helpful if ED could do something in the code to allow F86 and Mig owners to be able to join the server while it is using assets from whatever pack. This restriction is putting off a lot of potential Korea-era players, both those who already own one or both of the planes and those thinking about purchasing them. We should be using B17s in missions rather than C130s. Not to mention all the WW2 ground units that would be most suitable for the 1950's Korea conflict. A B29 would be most welcome too of course. :)
