  1. It was the 4YA Aerobatics Online Caucasus server however the last few days I haven't seen this server up and running.
  2. I've notice lately when flying in MP, I get a small blue popup box appearing in multi-player asking what my IP address is also asks if I really want to exit the game but there is no way to respond as there are no active buttons on the popup box...blocks my view no matter where I look as it follows where I'm looking. Anyone know what this is...just started happening the last few days.
  3. Using my monitor I lost in-game sound a few days ago and needed to add 'sound.channel_mask = 3' into my E:\saved-games\DCS.openbeta\Config/autoexec.cfg in order to get in-game sound working again? Interestingly I did not have any such issue using my VR HP Reverb G2. Anyone know what's going on? Thank you.
  4. OK...seems like it's been fixed finally, a big thank you to all for your help and patience!...did an 'all dcs files check/repair' then did what was recommended before: Nice performance boost using "E:\DCS World OpenBeta\bin-mt\DCS.exe" with no switches added or needed. This was the issue...had it on automatic but this time after the repair changing this to manual all seems OK.
  5. Now I get SteamVR starting up when I click on the DCS shortcut...when I put on the headset I see the dcs start menu but mouse and all controls are frozen. Additionally...just uninstalled SteamVR so it doesn't appear anymore but still have frozen start screen.
  6. Thanks, I'll try it out a bit later and report back.
  7. From what I've read, it's the overhead and OpenXR is faster.
  8. I did a repair and was able to get VR working, I noticed the openvr_api.dll was replaced by a new one during the repair. Should I be using the bin-mt dcs.exe or the bin dcs.exe? Also what should the .exe properties be set at see above.
  9. Here is what I see on my monitor when I put on my G2...all I see through my G2 is my vr mixed reality home page.
  10. Yes I'm thinking it may be repair time thanks...where are the instructions for repair?
  11. Let me get back to you, it seems since last time using dcs Vr things have changed from the original fix.
  12. Tried it but no luck. Does the openvr_api.dll need to be changed as I have been using the old G2 fix for DCS? What is the bin-mt folder with dcs.exe? Which do I use to start up?
  13. Thanks for the reply. Is the DCS version I'm using the correct version as it does not say beta...see OP photo. The blue screen disappearing into triangles I thought was only when I use msfs. It loads into VR but my button for centering the screen doesn't work and I get the banner press win+y to use the desktop.
  14. That's great Cab...it would really help if you shared exactly how you got your G2 to work.
  15. I've been able to use Reverb G2 in DCS by replacing the openvr_api.dll in my bin folder after each DCS update with a new downloaded version of this file that allowed the G2 to work with DCS as well I added --force_enable_VR --force_OpenXR to a shortcut pointing to to DCS.exe in the bin folder [not the bin-mt folder] and everything worked very well until I started up yesterday after an absence of several months. I have been doing my updates regularly from DCS. Now after being away from the sim for awhile I am no longer able to run my G2 in VR. The sim starts in VR but when I put my headset on nothing responds... it says to press win+y to use the desktop. I've read a lot about native compatibility very recently with DCS and G2 but I'm reading different solutions. Can someone please let me know the actual procedure in place and what I should do about the downloaded openvr_api.dll file in the bin folder and the --force_enable_VR --force_OpenXR switch in the DCS.exe in the bin folder. Thank you.
  16. I had SteamVr hijacking my G2 as well, what I did was to rename the SteamVr installation folder...of course if you need to use SteamVr again for another program just rename it back.
  17. As for openxr tools I leave it off by not putting a check mark in this option. OK, I'll leave DCS at default 1 and work the openxr toolkit only...thanks!
  18. 16 fps would be very difficult to deal with, I've found that tweaking some of the graphic's card settings have helped. Not all Nvidia 3D settings work in VR, it's a lot of trial and error. Pixel Density is a huge fps hitter.
  19. Using Reverb G2, adjusting the resolution via “custom render scale” or "pixel density"; I have this setting in DCS, as well as openxr tools and again in openxr toolkit. if I want 105% do I set all 3 to 105% or do I turn 2 down as low as they will go and set 105% to just one of them?
  20. Thanks edmuss for your clarification. Yes I understand the base line concept. I see you listed MSFS which is a native mixed reality support platform so why would you mention it? Do these files allow for non-mixed reality vr headsets to work on MSFS?
