In the current state of DCS, capable SAM batteries such as the SA-15, SA-11 and S-300 are able to counter air-launched weapons such as the AGM-88, AGM-65, cruise missiles,(which is expected and it was as such since I tried AGM-88 for the 1st time back to 2018 by hornet) and these systems can engage with CBUs(such as 97 and I have no idea if it can/should engage with bombs) and INS/GPS guided. However, it seems the AI knows which weapons it should intercept and which it should not. It recognizes that it shouldn't engage with weapons that can't harm the site, such as the AIM-7, AIM-120, BDU, and practice weapons. This is strange! How can it differentiate between a CBU-97 and a BDU, or an AGM-88 and an AIM-7? Maybe each SAM system should have its own thread! (which is very much possible depends on internal team and implementation)
  5. for the 1st time since almost 2 years I have recieved warning from Kaspersky which detected trojan "trojan-PSW.Win32.Stealer.calj" in SimAppPro Setup 1.11.6.exe file! I have never recieved it before

  7. @Massun92 Is it possible to include objects from the fortification sub-category under the vehicle category as well, instead of just under static objects? This would allow us to group objects together and move them more easily. I understand that Mission Editor (ME) should offer grouping functionality for static objects, but it has not been implemented yet.

I am aware of it, once you put HESCO (lets say 100) and other objects, you may want to move it, selecting object with CTRL would not work perfectly, if you have any mistake during the click (which I have it alot in 4K resolution with small objects) the objects can be deselected! it would be nice to have simple select all by mouse drag like many others GUI applications, however this is not about selecting, but moving the entire group, you can move the entire group by moving the 1 unit in the group in ME. hecne if you have 100 objects in a single group, you can move the entire group by just moving the 1st unit however the Static objects doesnt accept more than 1 unit in group or actyually there is not any group. I am aware of the functionality, thats the selecting and copy/pasting from/within diffrent or same terrain.   11. This is horrible. The map requirement should not be campaign-focused(btw I love your campaigns)! Each map should represent the designated region in isolation, regardless of the repetition of components in other maps. I really hope ED adds at least the north of Saudi Arabia. Otherwise, the focus of the Iraq map is solely on the War on Terror, completely ignoring "Desert Storm," which is an absolute shame. Not to mention, the UAE and at least the west of the Persian Gulf should be included as well if possible (where should we put the carrier? Hornets, Tomcats, A-6! - ED PLEASE DONT DO THIS TO US). Since I joined DCS in 2016 was dreaming Desert Strom!

  13. Nice finding, I noticed that too but tought I might be wrong, perhaps he ment Baghdad by Bagram, very similar names, it was a LONG live and I wonder how Wags didnt frustrated.
  14. I would expect something like this , but ofcourse the more the better. This is already twice the size of Syria map. It's huge!
  15. part of Zagros is in Iraq and it can be west of iran but without any details, in PG there is not any detail once you move to the north from Lar. the Shiraz and Kerman added in last phase and the focus was Hormouz Straight. Same with Sinai and Syria Not all parts of the map are implemented with high detail. I believe its mostly about business plan, resources ... not technology, they can if they want. again its about Iraq and as stated, Desert Storm, Iraqi Freedom and war on terror. I hope we get some AFBs on iranian side such as Dezful, Bushehr and Hamadan but I highly doubt it.
  16. you will need at least 200GB for this map and highly not implemented, although not intended to be! its Iraq consentarted on Baghdad, IMO the most optimistic senario would be small tiny west border of iran and may be the entire west of Iraq. Shiraz and Isfahan are in the middle of Iran! (speaking of shiraz, wine would be nice while thinking of this size for this map) and you went all the way to the north of Iran and even Capital including Caspian Sea! really! while you have the pen can you please drag it all the way to the east of Afghanistain ? cant waite for it.   17. @BIGNEWY will this map include Bushehr AFB and/or Dezful AFB and/or Hamadan AFBs and/or Tabriz AFB or generally any AFB in Iran ?

  19. obviously was a jock. its never serious (why so serious ... ), its HB, it just show their attentaion to details. some dev missed the entire cockpit and aligned it with wrong version/block for over years! I wouldn't nag for the module which is not in final release, this one is not even released to open beta!
  20. You are all putting the very basic info here. There r two questions: 1. Can tomcat flare in real world? It is not about why they dont. It is a "can" as ability question. aerodynamicly and physical ability. 2. Can pilot do aerodynamic braking IRL in tomcat ? Both are positive. they do both to reduce maintenance cost, so the F-14 CAN flare. does it apply in DCS ? NO. why? you might be able to do aerodynamic breaking in DCS with light tomcat, less than 13 units AOA approach, and be fast! but IRL they keep at 15 AOA, on speed and then can do both and its not tricky!
