  1. Compromise is what this set up is all about. All that matters is it works for you. Seeing the frame rate counter is not a big deal to me. Just wondered where the rest of my screen was. I took this screenshot with FRAPS and this shows somethng interesting.
  2. In the test I did, (Posted above somewhere) Adding core 2 showed an increase of about 10FPS. I saw no difference in using cores 3,4 on my Phenom BE Quad.
  3. Do you have the same problems I have mentioned in another post here. Can you see the frame rate counter in the upper left? Can you take a screenshot without the sim crashing? Does your main screen stretch into the 2nd monitor? Also, why not put the Shkval and ABRIS side by side? It looks better and maintains the aspect ratios. I'm not a big fan of the squished ABRIS.
  4. At least it's not just me then. The Comms menu on the second monitor doesn't bother me now knowing I can still access it. But, it would be nice if the cockpit wasn't stretched on the main monitor.
  5. hannibal Check these posts out. The diagram is for 2 monitors. You have to have an invisible monitor on the left of your main monitor for it to work. This might help get you started with 3 monitors. http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/2621999/3.html
  6. I don't do multiplayer but, yeah the menu screen is porked. Do you have the same issues I listed in my previous post?
  7. I have a couple of issues. Taking a screenshot crashes the sim. I can't see the frame rate counter in the upper left when I turn it on. The "Communications menu" shows up on the 2nd monitor when I activate it. When I go into "Map view" F10 the map is extended across both monitors. When I go into another view like F1 "Cockpit view" the map stays in the background on the 2nd monitor. Are these problems inherent with this type of setup? I'd like to hear from the other people here who have 2 monitors working If they have the same issues. This is my main monitor. This is my 2nd monitor. Notice how the "Communications menu" appears on this one. At first I thought I couldn't access it here but it turns out I can.
  8. I have an x-fi also. And, running Vista x64
  9. NIL8R, Glad you got it working. I'm not crazy about the compressed ABRIS though. I'm even thinking of removing the Shkval from the 2nd monitor in my setup all together. Thanks for the offer of help. I know my problem can be fixed as someone else posted pretty much the same setup without the problems I'm having on the main screen. If I can't get it sorted I'll definitely PM you and try your method. By the way. What are your system specs, and what OS are you using?
  10. Does your screeen look like my pictures in the post below your's.
  11. Well I bought another monitor to try this multi monitor thing. It's an Acer 22" widescreen 16:10. I also have a 20" Samsung 4:3 The desktop resolutions are 22" WS 1680x1050 and 20" 1280X1024 I finally got the Shkval and ABRIS on the Samsung but my main picture is distorted. this is my 2monitortest.lua Description = '2MonitorTest' Viewports = { Center = { x = 0; y = 0; width = 2960; height = 1050; viewDx = 0; viewDy = 0; aspect = 16/10; } } Shkval = { x = 2960; y = 335; width = 640; height = 380; } ABRIS = { x = 3600; y = 0; width = 640; height = 1024; } And this is what I have in options.lua ["height"] = 1050, ["resolution"] = "4240x1050", ["civTraffic"] = 0, ["width"] = 4240, Here are some pics In the 2nd picture I had to add 1280 to get the screen centered. In the 3rd one I was zoomed all the way out and the cockpit is not centered. Where did I go wrong?
  12. Here are a few screenshots of some ground units in this mission. Love the detail in this sim. Nice mission, Thanks Ron Man Down!!
  13. Sounds like you're in the wrong drop down menu. You should be in "Axis Commands" From there it should look like this but with your joystick listed.
  14. I'm using Vista Ultimate x64 and Set Affinity II does work.
  15. I remember because your site was a big help to me back in my X36 days. If I didn't say it before I'll say it now, Thanks for all your help back then. Now I'll download your mission.
  16. I'll download it when I get home later. By the way, you wouldn't be Ron Hunt from the Saitek help Center would you?
  17. I downloaded the Russian vesion the other night and will buy the English version and the printed manual as soon as they are available. We need to support the devs If we want more add-ons.
  18. I ran the test on my Vista x64 Sp1 drive. Went into Instant Action, went into a hover. Waited about 30 sec and recorded FPS 1 core 27-28 FPS 2 cores 35-37 FPS did the test again, same exact results. No added benefit using 3 or 4 cores. I haven't installed it on my XP drive but I don't expect the results would be any different then what has already been reported
  19. I'm sorry I missed that. Thank you also.
