  1. Okay, there just seems to be a bug with the strike packages: The flight that's given the payload gets the JOIN-INGRESS-SPLIT-LANDING waypoints and the escort flight is the one that buzzes the target with obviously no effect. And since its task is set to CAP, this isn't remediable in the pre-planning editor. At least the tomcats are doing this, can't confirm on any other aircraft.
  2. 1: Liberation just tracks kills. The actual location of the units at the time of quitting doesn't matter. 2: As another newish user to Liberation, there's at least one lesson learned from messing about with the system: the actual mission you're tasked with is irrelevant (see 1), so there's little reason to go back and forth the two given waypoints on a BARCAP for an hour if nothing shows up. You might as well haul yourself to the front and find something to shoot at.
  3. The range selector still works in A/G mode, is what I'm saying. Maybe I'm just blind, but the manual doesn't seem to mention this fact anywhere.
  4. I don't think the manual says anything at all about it, and Chuck's guide says the automatic setting for the gunsight is preset to 2000ft slant range, but it's clearly adjustable with the range selector buttons. I know from experimenting that the second shortest setting is 3000ft, but it'd be great to get the full table without needing to figure it out ourselves. Or indeed if it's meant to be adjustable in the first place, since the only indication of the range changing is that the gunsight doesn't follow the nose of the aircraft as quickly anymore. I hope it's intended, since the 3000ft setting is pretty much my default for guns and rockets.
  5. T is the free version, even though it's the heavier armed one.
  6. Well, gives me time to go through the rest of them. Mission 4, WP2 tells you to turn the wrong direction, and WP4 tells you to land at Gelendzhik instead of Sochi. Edit: Also, in the first crosswind mission, the briefing says 5 m/s from the North, but when I asked for permission to land, tower said it was from 180, at 3/ms. Explains why I missed one of the waypoints I guess.
  7. I think he meant waypoint 3. Now WP3 tells you to turn right when you're supposed to turn left, and WP4 tells you to turn left when you're supposed to turn right. WP4 also tells you to land on some other airfield instead of Krasnodar, which seems incorrect. The kneeboard gives you the correct info though.
  8. This is because what it really wants to say is, "Press the Weapon Fire key to continue", which is normally bound to Space. No idea how it applies to the EB, though.
  9. That's why there's a 'quick' in there. SFM doesn't transform it to a completely different plane. Besides, in a singleplayer context there's inevitably going to be AI on AI fights, so it's very relevant to mission makers. Of course you'd have to fly it yourself to get accurate data. But all that's beside the point right now, since the C101 refuses to fight at all.
  10. I've been watching AI fights between the C-101CC and L-39 today, for a quick comparison on performance, and it quickly became clear that the 101 AI is completely unable to use the guns. As soon as they run out of missiles, they go evasive without even trying to get off a shot, and are easy pickings for even WW2 warbirds. I'm guessing this is an issue with the guns being externally mounted instead of an inherent part of the aircraft. I don't think any other plane in DCS has mountable A2A guns?
