  1. OK been reading post and watching YouTube clips on landing. Tried 12 times and still cannot land. Any thoughts that helped you able to land this beast. I try to land under 90 mph and keep the ball center and gently land but it seems I am off a fraction of degree and things go hay wire. I even watched a real pilot from the cockpit view to get some clues. When it come to the other props if you keep the ball center and land under 95 all goes well. :helpsmilie:

Wow fantastic. A beta of the Mustang and Spit would be wonderful thing to have for Normandy.
  3. Please make missions. You make it I will fly it.
  4. Thanks for a great post. I am grateful that Wags picked up a dead project I backed. He will make it better then what Oleg would have done. Thanks Wags.
  5. Yes I paid more then the $40 dollars to be a backer. I also bought all the modules except a couple of jets and P-51 twice just to support DCS. I have been playing since Lockon. I am not upset whatever Ed chooses. Like I said I am just happy that it is finally coming out. Lets all just try to enjoy this and not feel bittersweet.
  6. Don't get mad at me because I put money down years ago. We were promised with early Alpha access from other developer. If Ed decides not to do that, it would still be ok by me. I am just happy either way it is almost here. Will have many hours of pleasure on this map.
  7. Yes I will also report a bug or two. Waited a long time with money down for this, cant wait.
  8. Let me fly my little pony. Got my both keys now release map.
  9. Both Keys locked and loaded. Cant wait better then Christmas.
  10. Also hey I want the WW2 objects so I can use it on Crimea. (I wonder if you can do that) or use it in NTTR.
  11. I thought DCS is a sandbox. Looks like DCS is offering a map that you can fly modern stuff also. This would open more buyers to buy the map. O yea by the way if you want to fly WW2 spend a little more and get the objects. This looks like me keeping to the sandbox rule.
  12. Wags did confirm. wagmatt44m1 At least for now: Normandy --> Caucasus --> SoH --> Surprise
  13. For testing purpose place the Jtac close to the group to make sure you have line of sight. Then go see how far you can go back.
  14. Yes I got it to work in both maps with AI. Love the shift call. Once one is dead it auto lase another target in group. No Scripts. It is a little tricky. Using advance waypoints to get it to work. All this with object standing still. 1. EPLRS 2. Go invisible 3. ROE=return fire. Even though it is invisible and wont get shot. It seems to need this to fire laser. 3. Go FAC 4. Assign group, Guided bombs laser designation. You know you are golden when in the nineline Axeman calls out lase and gives code. Last night our squad did some live laser and it was fun. Squad member got in Humvee and lase targets for us.
  15. I got it to work in the beta just now. Now I am going to work on NTTR. The 9 line seemed different in NTTR. EMKO I can send you my quick mission to see how to set it up. pm me your email. No scripts. Had 3 in my group to attack and got all 3 from 20,000 feet. Love the call shift. Now to experiment limitations. Got it working in NTTR. All is good now.
  16. So has anyone got this to worlk with AI Jtac? If yes then I will keep plugging on to get it to work. I have been trying in NTTR maybe I will try in the beta.
  17. Yes I am trying to get AI to lase. I can talk and do the 9 line but it does not guide. I have AI set to lase.
  18. Nice scenes. Loved the low over water and the ending was great the camera angle on the runway. You made the F-5 look so sexy.
  19. Tako thanks for the time you do to make DCS more fun. With the F-5 out have you been thinking of doing one with the Huey and F-5? I am sure that would be a big hit. I wish I had the creativity you have to make missions.
  20. I am no expert and a newbie at this comments and suggestions are welcomed. Mission is a basic mission to try it out. You can pick any base with Tacan. I picked Senaki. Just pick things up here and there. I will use Senaki as example. 1. Set Tacan for Senaki 31x 2. Set radio To Senaki 261 3. Call Senaki for inbound. 4. Senaki will give air pressure reset altimeter 5. Fly direct to Tacan using HSI 6 When Tacan indicates you are over by a big swing in his turn to heading of 270 because we will land on runway 90. 7. When DME reaches 10 miles turn around I am doing this above cloud level of 5'000 feet. 8. Now a heading of 90 and start a slow descent through the soup. 9. Watching HSI and AI and Altimeter and speed to glide me through the soup and get lined up. 10 plan to be 500 feet 2 miles out an bam the runway is in front of you. Just a rough guide how I did it. To me navigation is just as fun as blowing something up. Navigation.miz
  21. Just did a navigation mission from Batumi to Sennaki with weather socked in with clouds 500 feet to 5,000 feet with rain. That was a blast. Using Tacan and calling tower and getting air pressure to reset altimeter. Going through 4,500 feet of clouds and rain and at 500 feet the runway pops in sight in front of you is a real rush.
  22. Works great for me thanks. Rep to you.
  23. This has been a very informative thread. I have gain a better understanding of gunnery. Thanks all.
