  1. I wasn't aware of that. I only know of the sticks themselves being offered with compatibility for TM bases in the future. MCG TM lacks support for additional analog axes. And I'm worried that the VKB TM connector might be just as unsuitable as the original TM connector when it comes to using it with a force sensing base, because a great deal of pressure is being applied to the stick/connector in this use scenario.
  2. Yes, the VKB connector looks very sturdy Maybe I'll better wait for MCG & Kosmosima release. Might be easier to make a more sturdy TM connector for the sticks, compared to modifying the entire FSSB R3 base :joystick: But then unfortunately i will likely be losing the additional analog axis... Do you know if the 3-pin adaptor can be ordered as a spare part?
  3. Thank you  Do you have any more details which shift register in particular is used? (1) Do you mean the Gladiator MK II, or would the MK I also work? (3-pin?) I have thought about using one of the upcoming VKB TM modded sticks, but i was worried that i might not be able to use VKB thumbsticks as an additional analog axis in this case. It's the future "Kosmosima" that i would like to use with the FSSB R3, and hence i would like to keep the third analog axis (for 3DOF analog). Also, another reason why i would like full VKB compatibility: The Warthog stick already has stability problems with the force sensing mod, because the connector/molding (internals) is too weak. It is not able to withstand a lot of pressure, it feels like it is about to break when too much pressure is applied. I'm afraid the VKB TM modded sticks might suffer from the same problem?!
  4. Can anyone provide some information about the electronics that are used with the Gunfighter/Gladiator MKII base, as well as their current line of sticks (KG12, MCG)? What is the main controller used in their base? I previously heard something about njoy32 or njoy32 PRO? Can someone confirm? Would it be possible to order the controller board as a spare part? What's the interface of the Shift Register board being used in the sticks? (i.e. CD4021 interface is used in the Warthog stick) I'm trying to assess whether it would be feasible to modify a force sensing base (FSSB R3 Lightning) into accepting VKB sticks. Summoning sokol1 :D
  5. thanks a lot guys, great help! going to contact BAUR for an F1! just one more question: does anyone of you know if the F1 model can be transformed into an F2 easily/cheaply, or would i have to replace the whole center base thing for that? Because the bolt screw base on the F2 looks like it's cut from one piece... Or could i just mount the F1 in a cockpit, if i remove it's small floor grips?
  6. thx, and you've mentioned something about the toe brakes being mounted more vertically (by default) on slaw's, compared to baur's. Is it possible to change the toe breaks of the F1's to a more vertical orientation, compared to what they are by default? (sorry for confusion, that's what i meant by "pedal angle adjustment", and the mfg video i posted)
  7. sorry, my bad, i was talking about the pedal angle adjustment. can you tell me at what min/max angle they can be mounted on both? (approximately) like i.e. mfg crosswinds can be adjusted from 20° to 62° ${1} 1:25 -1:37 ------- also, does BAUR include both "hinges", for either normal/vertical or ergonomic/inclined mount of pedals?
  8. thx guys! F1/F2 sounds like what i would want. Is it possible to order the F1 with the option to convert it to an F2 later? I plan to build a cockpit later this year, but i would like to go with a floor mounted version at the beginning... @ heloguy there's a coincidence :D i also looked at slaw's pedals as an option, and even wanted to open a thread to ask for a comparison with baur's pedals. can you elaborate a bit, why you prefer baur over slaws? could you tell me at what min/max angle the pedal feet may be installed on both slaw and baur's? are all three cams included by default with an F1/F2 order? as well as both hinges for either vertical/inclined installation of pedal feet?
  9. :helpsmilie: can someone explain to me what the differences between the three F-models are (aside from some using more steel), i.e. how they differ mechanically/kinematically, and how that would that effect user experience? BRD-F1 frame ("Friedrich" frame) BRD-F2 frame ("Friedrich" frame) BRD-F3 frame ("Kamov" curved frame) (also the frame of MS1 [single axis], MS2 [single axis], MS3 models) the difference between F1 and F2 is just floor mount vs. cockpit mount, right? also, Sokol1 mentioned something in a different thread, back in September: are there any news on this new (F4?) model?
