One of the stock F15C missions that comes with the sim called Intercept or something like that puts you in an F15C in that very same overcast scenario. Doesn't look that great IMO.

NO, those are 24/7, that's why they call it a Prime stable database. They run the stress test for 10+ hours because that is what they are using 24/7. TRUST me these guys these things much higher for "non 24/7 runs".... No one runs 10+ hours Prime if they are not planning on using it daily that's the whole point.

It seems a lot of E8600 can actually do around 4.5GHz with a good air cooler. Some actually get close to 5GHz if you have better cooling like water. No Nitrogen needed for any of these overclocks which is what is so impressive! Most of these are also below 1.4V vcore! This is why this will be my next CPU. For now I need to stick with my Quad cause I need the extra cores more than clock speed :( E8600 overclockingn database (Prime stable) http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=200770 I have a small monitor (19 inch) with 1440x900 resolution, I have played with a lot of settings like AA, AF, etc and it makes no difference on FPS with my 8800GT which is slightly overclocked too from factory.

Flyby I ran a LOFC benchmark with relation to clockspeed with my quad core. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=523032&postcount=7 The results seem to be very positive for higher CPU clockspeed. The benchmark showed a 1-to-1 scaling of clockspeed and minimum FPS in game (50% increase in clockspeed = 50% increase in min FPS). Of course I only ran two points so I cannot tell if the trend is linear or if it flattens out but I doubt it flattens out. I can run benchmarks up to 3.9GHz but not at 4GHz unfortunately, it becomes too unstable. My GPU is nowhere near a bottleneck since I only play at 1440x900. I get the same FPS whether I run 8xAA and 16xAF or no AA/AF at all. My next CPU will be a E8600 dual core oc'ed to 4.5GHz or more :music_whistling:

Sometimes I need to delete TrackIR files from the LOFC folder to get it working again. Check in Config folder there is a trackir.ini and another in Input folder called just TrackIR. Delete both files and restart LOFC. Hopefully that will do it.

Back in 1998, we used to call this a "simulator" :lol: I will never call anything a simulator again because in 5-6 years from now I will feel silly once again for doing so :D

Nice CPU score Pilotasso. That's close to my Q6600 score at 3.6GHz which shows Penryn's slight clock per clock advantage over Kentsfield.

Absolutely agree, unless you build yourself a good custom water cooling, it is better to go with a top model air cooling like the two mentioned above. I am running an Apogee GT waterblock and a triple fan radiator (6 fans 3 for push and 3 for pull). It is absolutely overkill right now since I only have the CPU on the loop. crazysundog, I am running an Asus P5K Premium. It is very similar to the Asus P5K Deluxe but with a few small improvements.

Nice, thats got a lot of juice left :D My Q6600 also shows temperature discrepancies, a whole lot of them do unfortunately. It was driving me nuts about a year ago but then I just live with it. It is due to the fact that no two cores are ever the same in terms of efficiency, it could also be cause by a slightly bad HSF mount or bad thermal compound spread, last but not least the cores may not be equally loaded (workload). But with 7 deg I wouldn't worry about it. On average one of my cores is 8 deg off, the other 5 deg off and the other 2 deg off from the hottest core.

hey guys I am having a problem with this mod after I installed it I cannot use any season other than summer. It either crashes on missions with Autumn, Winter, or it will revert back to Summer if I choose Autumn or Winter in mission editor. Any ideas? Here are my current mods...
