  1. Greetings fellow virtual pilots. The last few days I have been trying to connect to LUA environment of the the mission with a program of my own. My goal is to send some info to DCS and have the LUA script inside the mission interpret that info and do something and maybe send something back. Sadly I have not been able to achieve this. I tried to do this with a socket in the export.lua or as a seperate script in the hooks folder. Sending and receiving stuff works when I tested but from there it seems impossible to access the scripts defined in the mission environment. Is there a way to this? I have done something like that before with writing and reading from a file but I would like to do it with a direct connection. Is it maybe possible to somehow create a socket in the mission environment? Thank you!
  2. Using buttons or snap views are great ideas. I'm using a Cobra M5 Defender and the new Thrustmaster throttle, so there should be a button available for this. This would also make it easier to input things into the A-10 computer. So, I guess I can buy the Viggen without fear. If I remember correctly, it’s possible to lower/raise the seat in the A-10. No idea about other aircraft.
  3. Hi there! I have a rather weird question regarding the Viggen. In the past few days I have been watching many videos of the Viggen to see how she is and she seems awesome. Now I am considering buying her. But before I can do that, I need to know something about the cockpit view. In the videos it seems to be necessary to lower the view into the cockpit to see/reach all indicators and switches of the Viggen. The thing is, for head-tracking I use an EDTracker. It only allows 3DOF, but with the right setting I can use real-life head roll to move the in-game view left and right. It works perfectly for the A-10C and the K-50. So, will my inability to move my view forwards/backwards and up/down be a problem for me in the Viggen? Thank you!
  4. Hello! I have a question regarding the cockpit view too. I can't use my freetrack rig anymore, that's why I use an EDTracker now. With the right setting I can use head roll for moving the camera sideways. This works pretty well and the only thing I can't see good is a radio during startup in the A10C. But that is not a problem. Will I be able to see/reach all indicators and switches in the Viggen? In the videos I watched it looked like lowering the head into the cockpit is often needed.
