  1. I was flying in formation with a group of two uh-60 s one mi8 and one ch47 as escort (SA342) when I saw something falling down from mi-8 :noexpression::noexpression: checked it out and saw this : at this aspect he seems to be more of a flying man rather than someone who had been kicked out of helicopter :| I can see the sadness through his eyes :|
  2. Totally agree, other sims study level products (especially ad dons created for the sim that is developed by Lockheed martin) are almost twice or some times three times the price of some awesome modules that we have here! also considering that DCS gives us a combat environment which on those platforms such ad don has the price tag of 40-50 dollars. Although it's necessary to keep the differences of both platforms in mind, but after all, DCS price tags are really fair compared to what they offer to users, not to mention that base sim is free !!!
  3. actually hornet is mid 2000, and I don't really think the a-10c, f-15c and harrier we have today belongs to pre 2000, so it's not really cold war era, also some of those airplanes that are made and still WIP are still active in IRIAF (yeah I know it's totally a flying museum ), so I can't really call it a cold war era!!! it's your choice where and how to fly and no one is supposed to tell you how to do it! but like it or not these vehicles are a major part of middle east militias (IRGC as an example here) and old school armies (Iranian army also an example).
  4. totally agree, these days, tactical and modified trucks, pickups and SUV s are major part of many conflicts and civil wars in middle east (as seen in Syria and Iraq) although I really think the possible scenarios in strait of Hormuz might be different from what we see everyday in Syria and Iraq.
  5. Using rb-75 sight is a total pain for those who do not have track IR, if I can remember right, on mig15 there's some sort of function that moves player point of view forward when the guns are active, just like leaning forward to give pilot a better view of sight (not sure about it yet cause I don't really fly the mig15, just bought it cause I like taking it around for free flights), wondering if Heatblur can implant the same thing on viggen, and it can be activated by setting trigger safety off or maybe by pushing some preset key bind or something
  6. first those runway numbers on runway are not accurate enough, second some of those numbers on charts are totally incorrect!!! faced lots of issues using these numbers as course, the ways I usually use are 1-setting the course when the plane is lined up or 2-using ruler (and using those numbers to update the charts) otherwise you're probably gonna be landing right into dirt or ramp:joystick::joystick:.
  7. To be honest, I don't see any point in those guesses and speculations!!! does it really matters if hornet or tomcat comes first? the point is, they're coming!!! both confirmed and under lots of work. I know I know, there had been lots of delays on some modules like hornet (not sure about tomcat), but just throwing another "release time?!" topic is not going to help anyone!
  8. actually every single tomcat livery is beautiful to me:smartass: how am I supposed to choose one between all of these beautiful liveries!!! :joystick::joystick::joystick:
  9. this map lacks one of the islands, called kish island!!!!!!!!! don't know why but they hadn't worked on it as it's one of the biggest airport of Iranian territory in Persian gulf!!!! and obviously covered in this map!!!!
  10. But I'm worried somehow!!!! I've seen many guys spamming aim120s in servers, I can't even imagine how terrifying would it be if we see those spamming guys flying tomcats boarding 6 Aim-54s and spamming them over a map which is mostly covered by water :noexpression::noexpression::noexpression: 5-6 of those guys in tomcats and the whole map would be a no-fly zone:lol::lol::lol::lol:
  11. exactly!!! although I don't really like releasing the f-18 with less than 10% of it's capabilities, I really think they did the right thing to let us know what we're going to face at early access, anyone who doesn't like it this way (like me) can wait for a while until the hornet is complete! as simple as that!!!
  12. not acceptable by me, I'll only pay for a F/A-18C not for F/A-18A!!!! I'll buy it when those weapons are acceptable as a mid 2000 hornet!!! probably gonna fly harrier for a while!!!!
  13. yup exactly, all of them removed, to prevent going off and damaging both plane and engine!
  14. During the latest Exercises for Air force on one of missions 2 tomcats had the task of intercepting the one f-7 and one f-5 who had the task to take down a mocked airport (flying in the weeds). As my friend who was flying the f-7 (Chinese version of mig21) told me the f-14 could only find them when they were flying over flat areas for just a couple of minutes and then lost them as they entered the terrain mask!! ---------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------- ever noticed none of Iranian tomcats has the cover of refueling prob? guess why!!!! (I'm pretty sure this is one of the details heatblur would definitely simulate them on their Iriaf tomcat version) ---------------------------------------- tomcat with a different scheme!!! ---------------------------------------- 6039 (۶۰۳۹) during an airshow in Isfahan. ----------------------------------------
  15. agree, it's confusing :joystick::joystick::joystick:
  16. after some absence I'll continue this topic again. ------------------------------------- not sure about this one but I guess this photo was taken in Isfahan (sometimes written Esfahan) 8th air force base. ------------------------------------- famous tomcat mentioned in previous post, guess this one is also in Isfahan but different airbase :):):) ------------------------------------- also tomcat, but the helmet in the front belongs to one of the f-4 front seat drivers of 9th T.F.B 91sq known as sharks of bushehr to the public. ------------------------------------- tomcat parked in esfahan 8th airbase during an airshow. ------------------------------------- yup it's tomcat! ------------------------------------- terribly weathered radar cone but sure enough the great artists of heat blur can recreate the weathering the best way possible on their upcoming tomcats :))) ------------------------------------- IIAF tomcats during thier tests in USA. -------------------------------------
  17. Yup seen that, but the cockpit look more like f14 cockpit and I really doubt IRIAF would do that, otherwise the helmet colors looks like jolly Rogers yellow
  18. thanks for documents, gotta show that guy that video so he wouldn't feed people with lies.
  19. Well it's some sort of weird to see su27 dogfighting f-14 in a training during at the time video was recorded.
  20. due to low quality of video it looks like many things :|
  21. thanks for letting me know, I was doubting about it too, it really hard to get those footages out of IRIAF, don know why by they're not really open minded about those footages :|
  22. exactly, a good RIO and a good pilot working together would turn tomcat into one of the most dangerous killing machines!!!!
  23. It might seem crazy, but I myself would rather only fly as RIO, don't know why, but I really love the action and excitement of it. from my past flights in back seats of l-39 in cold war server I can say for sure, that with 2 pairs of eyes it's almost impossible to lose visual on target.
  24.:lol::lol::lol::lol:problem solved, or better to say, completely erased
