  1. Just fix the bugs and a small eye candy update. I love the f5 for what it is, I have the most hours of any module in dcs on it and always feels like home to me. No need for extra crap.
  2. The only time I ever used the radar was when a mig was very high on top of me and was waiting to pounce me so I needed an approximate azimuth. I turned the radar on found him pitched as many degrees as the radar scan elevation was and then I switched off and engaged visually. The trick is to remain in search and don’t lock anything as this brings him in the middle right part of the screen and makes it useless. Generally though never use it as it only alerts people. I don’t use it even for ranging. My motto is if unsure get closer.
  3. New releases breaking things isn’t uncommon nor is it normal. A diverse platform like dcs should provide a solid framework to base existing and future products on without them affecting each other every time something new comes along. This framework is nonexistent and core aspects of the platform are being constantly worked on an “ED needs to add this to x module” basis so everyone has to deal with the consequences. If I was working on a dcs module I expect my coding of basic instruments and functions to remain working and not have to go back to rework on stuff every x amount of time because ED tinkered with something. After some time when some older modules become less profitable and developers put other things in their agendas this will become a major issue as an end of life product can’t warrant major reworking anymore.
  4. It’s a pretty effective fighter in the Cold War servers. The RB74s are really good and maneuvering with afterburner and a little modesty makes wonders. Plus you can always carry 2 bk90 or mavericks to blast the heck out of the enemy airfield and then dogfight what’s left. :pilotfly:
  5. I didn’t say I don’t want a tornado I said I want the older ones. And yes if A.G. jets is again about paveways and jdams I have plenty no need for more. I want variety. Now MW-1 or a cormoran carrying F104 that would rock.
  6. Cool only opinions going around here, yes I think the viggen is the most interesting of the lot. The SU24 is the only other that spikes my interest since we don’t have a Russian high fidelity striker. I said earlier tornado versions not other airframes.
  7. Exactly what I said. Plenty of SEAD, paveways and jdams around already.
  8. The Viggen was the only strike aircraft of the time to perform the task with a single pilot, the first with a nav computer and a hud. Its arguably the best aircraft of its time. It can do what the tornado, F111 and SU24 did with single crew, land on a highway and do it again in half an hour. Far from an example of a less interesting airframe that’s simply nice to have.
  9. We are all only voicing opinions here. I want to see one of the earlier versions screaming down low with its older weaponry in dcs instead of another bombtruck Lasing and SEADing everything . As for feelings yeah I get that.
  10. Only good thing with tornadoes was the low level interdiction missions. When these were reduced it had very little going for it really to make it interesting in a sim.
  11. Thanks for trying to “balance” the tomcat guys. For the sake of multiplayer that is. :music_whistling:
  12. 9 pages of comments on a topic beaten to death already.... when cobra already said NO. Just for some people to prove their point which is the same as spawning the plane hot. Pathetic
  13. No prealigned bird ffs. The developers that have allowed this are knowingly turning this simulator into airquake.
  14. All the ruski secrecy stuff aside the SU24 is a flight sim dream. Precision strike, SEAD, antiship,stand-off you name it you got it. Much more capable that the other options discussed here. One can only wish...
  15. If you read what I wrote I’m not complaining however feedback should be welcome if it’s constructive if I’m not mistaken. I just pointed out known bugs and wrongly implemented systems in 2 modules that are how old? 3 and 1 year old now? How long On early access is too long?
  16. I firmly believe the same. For their other products as well. There are chronic issues to resolve though and so we cannot label them as complete products.
  17. Semantics. I don’t know of anyone distributing a release candidate and then pull the release completely. It says “we” however. Take it as you want. I don’t want another harrier debacle.
  18. I was not referring to the Mig19 exclusively, but the whole “policy” that RB seem to follow. Also it appears ED agrees with me and the others and has stepped in halting MiG19s release until it reaches a satisfactory state. Let’s hope mistakes of the past are not repeated.
  19. I’m a loyal customer and enjoy RAZBAMs products but I think there is more going on than just a couple of bugs here and there. The M2000 midlife upgrade revealed that the module had some serious discrepancies with the original from start especially in avionics and systems modeling. This is more serious than “a small bug”. The harrier looks like it was gobbled up so that it barely worked then pushed out the door with little work since. Sure it’s fun and I get to blow stuff up because it has most of its weapons but the avionics and systems department has some teething bugs or omissions since day 1... DCS’ main selling point over any other sim out there is the fidelity of the avionics and the flight model and eventually I’d like to get what I paid for and no I don’t agree with the excuse that all the bugs are there because ED are changing the core coding of the game all the time. Having said that I still support RAZBAM and will be a day 1 customer on the Mig19 despite my reservations.
  20. Not everyone switches planes cause they're bored to RTB.
  21. Just set a couple of SA-15s (or more)to guard search and designation radars and you're done. If someone can saturate an SA-10 site and the SA-15s and take out the radars they have earned it. No need for artificial "balance" and crap like that. All heavy SAM radars are assigned terminal defences IRL anyway. Type and number may vary but they're the rule not the exception.
  22. I seem to have experienced this issue as well. Does anyone know anything?
