Easy/Medium/Hard/Realistic refueling options.
MAXsenna replied to PhantomHans's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Why do you need the AI to tank the plane. Wouldn't it be sufficient to just have the plane filled up, or if you are close enough to the basket/boom (larger hit box), you get to tank? That would actually be somewhat of a practice. Again! The Su-33 is the easiest. Try it. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk George and Petrovich comes to mind. And George still haven't found his way to the Mossie yet. So who knows. [emoji2373] Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk -
Any reason you don't want it as an internal drive? Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk

Are you talking about one of @Reflected 's specific campaigns? Might be better to post the question there! [emoji1303] Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk

Easy/Medium/Hard/Realistic refueling options.

When did the forum become toxic due to advice and disagreement? What's said above is correct. Helpers become crutches. That's just a fact. One needs to put in the effort until it clicks. You have to decide that you really want to master the skill. If you don't, you won't. Simple as that. The F/A-18C is not the easiest one though. It's the Su-33 by far. Lock up the tanker with IRST, and you can easily match the speed. The pod will also tell you immediately when you're gaining, lagging or just perfect. It even has a special refuelling mode, that I personally don't like, while others may. VoiceAttack/VAICOM can also help with comms to get rid of clicking the radio menu. I'm not against an "easy mode", while I think all your different suggestions will bring nothing but extra work for the devs. Minsky's idea is enough. Cheers! Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk -
IF! You have enough buttons. Map TX1, 2 and 3 plus TX5 for Intercom/Ground comms. Do not map any PTT buttons in DCS, (might conflict with the radio menu, as VAICOM uses it in the background, and not keystrokes like other VoiceAttack commands). And most MP users, have SRS buttons separated. So yes. When you want to issue a VAICOM command. Keep the relevant TX down, UHF/VHF, and issue the command. Plus points for actually wanting to read the manual. It's very good! And, you can get around using only one TX/PTT in VAICOM. That's TX4 (auto). Cheers! Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk

Not really. The real F-16 pedals are "force sensing", and pivot a like a bicycle steering wheel. Aaand the Slaws looks way better. [emoji4] Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk

Due to unfortunate circumstances, I can't test for å while. My problem before was that using a the trim hat would screw up the the trimmed position, and make it logarithmic whenever I repressed the trim button, like the bug we had a while back. To fix I had to reset trim. I will take your word for it, and looking forward to test it. Cheers! Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk

You could use VoiceAttack and VAICOM to interact with him. Just a thought. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk

Keybind to "recall" or "recenter" the mouse cursor

Second this. While we wait VoiceAttack could be used as a workaround. Cheers! Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk -

Like I wrote in that other thread. Get VAICOM, it's now free and maintained by the community. No need for intricate VA profiles for comms anymore! [emoji1303] Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk -
Ah! VAICOM is for AI comms. [emoji6] Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk

Yes, and if you can't afford today. Save USD16 every month up to June, (assume one started saving in March), and you can before release. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk

I see. [emoji1303] Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk

When you're setup with VoiceAttack, make sure to get the VAICOM community plugin. Makes comms so much easier. Cheers! Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk

Roger! Did you run OpenBeta on Steam? If yes. It probably made a folder called DCS.openbeta under Saved Games. Now, you have installed the latest unified DCS version, and it probably has made a DCS folder under Saved Games. Just copy everything from DCS.openbeta to DCS. Cheers!
