  1. F4 is on the To Do list by ED but down the road a ways...
  2. Don’t forget to write down coordinates of interesting stuff lest you never find them again...
  3. I’m fully aware of how the various night illusions work. I just liken it to a Spiral in IMC where there’s no obvious acceleration cues unless and until it tightens to the point you start to get heavier in the seat. You can’t be 0G inverted unless you’re descending. You can’t be 1G inverted without being in a significant descent. If you’re 1G, your VSI is trending down and the altimeter is unwinding, then that might be a clue. Pretty bad scan going on.
  4. Would love to know how that pilot didn’t know he was upside down because unless he was in a 1 G dive, he’d surely have felt himself hanging from the belts?
  5. Glad you’re sorted. Thank You for reporting back.
  6. I’ve seen them do this when dropped the instant the “pickle window” opens. Waiting a bit raises the reliability a lot. But the CEP is factual. They are not perfect.
  7. Bear in mind as well that GBU-38s are not as accurate as GBU-12s. IIRC, the CEP of a GBU-38 is like 10 meters or so.
  8. One thing that has apparently changed at some point: If you're too eager to drop and pickle at or just after the "window" opens, they'll generally land short. Try pickling more in the middle of the window.
  9. A-10C interior lighting is still quite dim.
  10. Doesn’t need to be dynamic really. Just tied to time of day.
  11. Always Cold Start. It’s part of the fun.
  12. It doesn’t. Each map has its own unique phantom destination. Caucuses .. NE Nevada .. NW Syria .. S PG .. I don’t recall exactly.
  13. Tough sell unless there’s a 4th world country doing COIN Ops in Kitfoxes.
  14. When I first came to DCS, I was using some rather well worn CH equipment and I had a dead area in my Pro Throttle which happened to fall right where I needed to be the smoothest to AAR in the Warthog. This made me have to jack the throttle back and forth like I was scrubbing the deck on a sailboat. Made it work though. The upgrade to a TMWH stick and throttle was a revelation.
  15. I can top off a Viper or an A10C in one bite (usually) May suffer the odd disco now and again. I’m 100% Multi-Player
  16. Surface wind direction indicator in the ME is, and has been for a long while, backwards.
  17. Have to turn up the ILS Volume Knob. If it’s muted, the system won’t work.
  18. Radar shouldn’t be energized with weight on wheels.

    Seat height ajdustment

A-10C and F-16 both have seat height adjustment switches.
  20. When and Where was it ever posted that the sim is de-rated per agreement with the government and/or the manufacturer?
  21. Sorry for the thread resurrection but I think there's still an issue in the very latest OB... When you put battery power to the system, the clock does, in fact, wake up at the correct Zulu Time. But, as soon as you crank the left engine, the clock goes to 00:00:00 and starts counting up from there. Unlike the Viper where you can preset an actual time and then hack it in external view, you can only input an offset in whole numbers in the Hog and there's no way to hack the time in an external F2 view. ADDING: - Saw this occur on our DS1 tonight - Saw this occur on an offlline mission copied from our DS1 - It did NOT do it in a new offline mission from scratch Standby: May be inherent in our internal NTTR mission. Investigating Further...
  22. Is the “new” proper operation of the clock documented in writing anywhere?
  23. It might be just a degree or two purple, but more importantly, the ED version looks as if it’s got just a little more contrast in play and the panel lines all look just a bit darker. By comparison, yours looks a little flat overall.
