  1. I have that happen like every third or fourth update. Gotten to the point of every time I get on after a patch I go straight there to make sure it hasn't been turned on.

First time for me, but thank you for pointing out it may happen regularly, will check in the future, that’s for sure

  2. First thing: double check that "Force Feedback" is switched Off in the game's options.

Some users said the option must have switched itself on with an upgrade because they never touched it.

If that doesn't work, I would suggest to...
    - rename Saved Games\DCS or Saved Games\DCS.OpenBeta
    - start DCS with a barefoot profile, only assign the most necessary keys and controllers and try again

Somewhere in the back of my head I seem to recall a similar problem which was not tied to Force Feedback. If you search the A-10C and A-10C II forums for trim problems, you should be able to find the threads about it and solve your problem.

Please let us know how it goes!

The Force feedback setting was the problem. Had to look it up where to find it as I NEVER used it or checked it on before. Must have activated by itself.
Thank you guys so much for the help, now everything is working flawlessly again!!

  3. That's a very strange issue. The trim works ok here. I suppose you are not in game mode (I don't know if the game mode supports the trim function).
The only reason I can imagine is that one of the FCS subsystems is not activated. But that could only happen in a cold start situation where you do a manual start-up.
Does the trimming show in the controls indicator (Ctrl + Enter)?

Very strange in deed. It occurs regardless of cold start or fast free flight mission. The really odd thing is., the little chevron in the Flight Control Window moves, the Hotas knobs move, the plane just doesn’t react, as if trimming was switched off completely, no way to do that in the A-10 to my knowledge

  4. For some weeks, trimming has no more effect in the A-10C II on my system. Trim Hat is assigned as usual on my Warthog Hotas, even the trimhead in the Virtual cockpit is moving accordingly, but the aircraft remains trimmed for approx 165 knots and can only be flown with constant nose down input on the stick.

Did a reinstall already, no joy.

    Any thoughts on that?

    Thank you

  5. Hello there!

Got a Reverb Pro now and like the performance and high definition a lot, compared to my Rift S. But the software is killing me. Got it all working according to vr4dcs , but as soon as I activate Motion Repro in the config file, the Head Tracking stops working. Anybody got an idea before I send it back to HP?

    Thanks a lot!!!

  6. Yes, stupid me, read the whole thread AFTER my post ;) .

But I found a solution at last. After doing the absolutely forbidden faux pas of using the windows calibration for the cougar once in the past, windows wrote the calibration data into its registry. After using CCP with auto calibration, the old data interferes with CCP and causes the bias. The in Foxy included HotasCleanse.exe that is exactly for the purpose of cleaning the registry doesn’t seem to work for windows 10, so I started to erase the reg keys manually. Then I discovered Clear Calibration Utility by Logitech that did the job. Now everything is working as advertised, the cougar is perfectly centered again.

A lot of research and fumbling, but totally worth it, hope it helps ;)

    Bert regards

  7. Hi there!

Any news on your problems with the cougar? Have you ever tried connecting it to another pc? I have two Cougars, one with standard gimble, the other with FSSB2 . Both are alway of center on both , x and y axis by a fixed amount of units, regardless of how i calibrate them. the interesting part is, as soon as the ccr viewer starts, they show perfekt center, until i touch then. immediatly they are of again.

Now the fun part: as soon as i connect them to any of my three other pc, win xp, win7 and win 10, both work like a charm, perfect centered and calibrated.

a tried everything, even the HOTAScleans.exe application in Foxy, nothing helps.

Try on an other pc to see if it is the same issue, at least the you know that nothing is wrong with your cougar, it seems to be a maschine specific problem.

Maybe we find a fix in the future

    best regard!!

  8. Hopefully!!! If these work as advertised they’d be the most promising VR interface on the market IMHO, way more useful than these useless captogloves that seem to have no real tracking at all ( if I’m getting it right ;) )

    +1

  9. Yet another warthog slew upgrade

Also been working on adding a extra switch button to my throttle this weekend (the need for the Hornet TDC pushed me over the edge) to connect to my Force Sensor Upgrade Adapter PCB.

Thank you for this great idea!! I found the exact same switch in Germany at Conrad electronics and it is the perfect addition. Like it even more than a clickable stick and it looks like if it naturally belonged there

Was a 30min job this morning and completes a great sensor upgrade.

Thanks again for the great work!!!

  10. Here you go:

    { down = iCommandPlaneGearUp, up = iCommandPlaneGearDown, name = _('Landing Gear Control Handle - UP/DOWN'), category = {_('Special Toggle')}},

Just add somewhere in the joystick.lua . Made up the Special Toggle Category to find it quickly

  11. OpenHornet F/A-18C 1:1 SimPit (WIP)

Yes sir! There will be a number of breakout/specialty PCBS as well, but all interfacing will be done via DCS-BIOS, and the specialty cards will be routed into a nano or Mega as appropriate.

Seems to be a really thought through concept, I can hardly wait to see the first results. A great pit would be the only thing to get me back from VR flying, and the DCS Hornet now come quiet handy as the perfect plane to build a pit for. Really great you guys know your stuff as it seems

  12. Moin!

Interessiert an JEDER Idee.

    Grüßle

  13. Hey Guys!

It might be a little off topic, but this is the only thread a found concerning editing lua files to make custom controls work. So here we go ;)

Can anybody help me with adjusting the sensitiviy of the pressed_ event setting HSI Course and Heading? As long as a pressed call is used, it jumps 5-12 degrees at a time which is useless. Changing the event to up_ lets me control it in one degree steps, as there ist no event buffering, it unfortunately takes a minute to make a 180 degree turn.

Any idea or workaround would be highle appreciated ;)

  14. Ah well, the pixel density explains it to me rather than the VRAM Bandwith or System RAM . I run it always in 2.0 pd. To fly around in Vegas an maintain 45fps using ASW is no factor at all. I recently took your settings, overclocked my 1070 to 1925MHz Boost and can now maintain 45fps during the first two missions of Piercing Fury. Just some short term drops to 22fps (5sec) in moments of R/T displayed on screen and only in certain directions of view. Quiet odd nevertheless.

But I´m happy so far, Rift finally looks good and is absolutly playable, even after the last weeks of crisp 4k flying on the flat screen ;) .

The immersion is unbeatable and the hog now finally feels like a real plane :)

Thanks so far und best regards

Well, combat situation with AI may be a different story. I chose the Vegas tour instant mission because I can take (almost) exactly the same route to see what the difference was. I think I left the pixel density at 1.5 (I can double check this weekend).

Also, my extra VRAM and memory BW could be coming into factor here. Can you maintain 45FPS in the Vegas mission with A10?

  15. But that's the point metzger. With flat shadows, and preset setting of HIGH, and ASW, it works like a charm! Will post my settings this evening

    EDIT: Added my setup

    Good morning,

any information on the pixel density setting? i run the 6700k at 4500mhz with a 1070GTX and cannot maintain 45 fps , espacially in a combat situation. my system maintains 45 fps from takeoff to a certain poont where it suddenly drops to 22 FPS. appears quite strange to me, any thoughts?
