Its going to be brutal. It looks great but right now, the stennis with a few static parked aircraft turns my fps into a slide show. But, i.m talking VR. In 2D it should be fine.

Fair enough, but I've learned to manage my expectations with the: "coming soon" "making great progress" "we'll do our best" ..etc. Most F-14 drivers that prepaid for the module will be disappointed. Thus, maybe the Forrestal will be fun to use until release state. But, maybe the Forrestal is still a number of months away....who knows.

yep, SC will not be functional for F-14 until release state. I would guess release state is a year away.

...because it looks like the F-14 is not going to work very well on the Super Carrier for the foreseeable future.

Ah ok. Guess I'm going to get a bit of a slide show with SC....and basically reprojection apocalypse.

Will we be able to use SC on a rolled back version of the beta? The latest beta has me running in the 20's (fps) in VR with the stock stennis and just a few static aircraft on deck. The new SC with the new beta/lighting will be unplayable for me I think.

Has there been any info on Forrestal features? I assume a different 3D model with the same basic functionality of the Stennis?

Hi guys, been loving my T50, but one thing I've noticed is I can't get the pitch axis to calibrate to the full range. It stops short in both directions. And after calibration the values still flicker around when the stick is dead still in the center. Do I need to take off the sheel and tighten something or any other thoughts? The roll axis is perfect.

Unfortunately I didn't take any notes while I built it. I just played it by ear as I put it together. I got lucky. I went and sat in an F-18 at Miramar and took measurements and it ended up real close.

I whipped this together in my garage. It's not commercial grade construction but pretty cool. base frame is aluminum extrusions and seat is built out of MDF. Still a work in progress but I'm getting motion platform so I have to sell this thing to make room. Obviously this is for the cockpit only. The peripherals like stick, throttle, pedals, mouse, etc are not included. $350. Like new condition. I only used these very briefly. I'm about to order a DOF reality motion rig and I don't want to put too much weight on the foot rest so I'm selling these and will get some cheap light plastic rudder pedals. No question that it needs to be darker. The current nimitz is so bad that the group i fly with just made a darker skin for it. Looks a thousand times better. I don't know why ED thinks the deck is light brown.

We've seen a video and some screenshots but I'm surprised we haven't heard at least a rough time frame other than "soon". Will it be pre-order? Q1 of 2020? I hope not pre-order. Just release it when the early access is complete enough. I've never seen the point of pre-order for something that is not a physical item on a shelf or in inventory. It's 1's and zero's--there is no such thing as "we ran out because we underestimated demand."
