I think most of us want that but now, even with photo evidence, it seems that there is ambiguity about how transparent the real HUD is. Is a Hornet HUD more tinted than an Eagle HUD, for instance, or more so than other HUDs? Is a darker tint as in-game now, really representative of the the real one? IRL tints on sunglasses / visors / camera lenses etc usually has a positive effect on contrast, by subtracting obnoxious colours and so on. I mean, that is why you put coatings on in the first place. Can we honestly say this is the case in this HUD? Based on the photo evidence and in-game experience I would say no. Its not a feeling or my imagination or my opinion here, I literally posted evidence showing the effect clearly and I looked for evidence otherwise and the only think I could find is Hornet HUDs at a severe angle which is not representative of the situation. Some of those do appear quite dark, but those angles are impossible to reach in the cockpit, whilst strapped in.
