missing info INS Alignment - No Stearpoint Distance on HUD
MROK73 replied to MrYeti's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Hi MrYeti, Check that you enter the coordinates within 2 minutes from start of the alignment. "41. Enter and confirm aircraft coordinates used for INS alignment. a) IMPORTANT You must either enter or confirm the latitude and longitude coordinates of your aircraft on the INS DED page within two minutes after starting an alignment Failing to do that within 2 minutes will result in a degraded INS alignment" This is from Chuck's guide, and I think Wags also pointed out on his video... -
missing info INS Alignment - No Stearpoint Distance on HUD
MROK73 replied to MrYeti's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Again... Did you , on step 9 rotate the INS knob to NAV position, after the align is finished (ALIGN flashing in the HUD)?? PS. Did your aircraft move, even for a tiny bit, during the alignment process? -

No! They are electronically controlled, hydraulically activated...that's why in the second picture the horizontal Tail is down (no hydraulic pressure). Suggest you to read manuals available on the net, in order to know better the plane. The ED manual doesn't mention it and Chuck's Guide just a few words.

correct as is No Bullseye in HUD with HARM Loadout
MROK73 replied to 3000GTPRO's topic in Bugs and Problems
"People who work on these aircraft" is a wide range of people...from the guys who do the painting jobs, up to the pilots... -
"AWACS will also attempt to notify you when you enter the Missile Engagement Zone (MEZ) of a previously unknown pop-up threat. The term ‘trespass’ will be used in these cases. Example: Colt 1, Darkstar, trespass SA-15 bullseye 240 for 10." From the SOP, in the docs folder of the Red Flag campaign. Cheers

Community poll for HARM and Maverick on stations 4 and 6
MROK73 replied to BIGNEWY's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Weird...Very Weird. Don't you guys ever look at the available -1 and -34 on net, both for MLU and HAF?? I've seen referenced here, in this forum several times. Are they "documents that everyone can create at home on his computer to look legit"? I don't think so... -
Community poll for HARM and Maverick on stations 4 and 6
MROK73 replied to BIGNEWY's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
But, let me ask, if there was a significant number of users who would like to see Mk82 on the tip of the wings, instead of A/A missiles, just because they want to get more bombs available, do you start this kind of poll? And why not? I think you're about to open a pandora box with this one. Just my 2 cents Cheers -
I get it from your answer! Just try to clarify the "others"!

And can use it in PRE mode also. The only trade off is the missile seeker isn't pointed at the same spot as the TGP, as well as if you use the radar (GM or GMT modes), is in the nearby area and you have to slew it and lock it. The Boresighting is a process to get the most of the TGP, more zoom capability and image definition, and the availability of cage the missile through the TGP. That's a useful feature, and on top of that could be able to ripple the missiles on two pickle presses as soon as you are inside missile range, and the lock is achieved.

That's an issue! Not a bug... -

You get Target CAS and Closure rate as TAS. At least in real life... -
I was being sarcastic! For me the only reason to boresighting come up, was the other Sim, and that's all! Of course you need to boresight them in whichever plane. It's implicit on the way the system is built. In a sim, you have to balance between the RL procedures and techniques, and the parameters available for the design of the sim itself ( aircraft flight dynamics, weapons available knowledge and parameters, etc.), in order to give the final product a "picture" of what it would be in real life. I'll make Lace my own words. If you want a sim, you have to deal with it! It mean a lot more reading, and consequently more time consuming. A steeper learning curve and also a bigger gratification. If not, switch to the game mode, which, by the way, I agree as an option (but please, don't make me fly on a simulator server against gamers...) and give you the same level of gratification. It only depends on what you really want! Cheers

Or probably there's no "need" to... But, on the other hand, this is a Mav procedure, not a type of aircraft porcedure, so...
-
I wonder why there's no need to boresight the Mav's on the Hornet and the Warthog...
-
S-J....that's what we're talking about., isn't it? Cheers

In game? As for rl Master arm has to be arm.
