These are just tips. #3 is derived from my experience flying BF PG in its current state. If our team has air superiority then that certainly makes the TGP a viable option. The point of my tip is to point out another possibility many might not have even considered. If the TGP could be jettisoned when fighting for survival alone against a enemy fighter, then I would carry it in many situations. dIce

I have read this entire thread hoping to find a fix and was encouraged when ED began asking for type of SSD used by those with slow 1.5.6 load times. I suffer 5-7 minute mission load time using the very latest 1.5.6 patch when installed on my pair of Intel 600P SSD PCie (Win7 software Raid 0 array) using two M.2 ports on an MSI Z170 M7 motherboard. This setup functions normally with DCS 1.5.5, but soon as I update to 1.5.6 it encounters the very slow load times and shows DCS "not Responding" if I open task manager. Have tried fresh install multiple times now with newly created user/save games folders to no avail. When I install 1.5.6 onto my SATA III Samsung 840 EVO (system drive on same PC) load times are normal. This is only a 120gb drive, nearly full with DCS installed and is a much slower performing drive.....so it is not a lasting solution. Any suggestions...or do I need to wait for the next patch? dcs.log.txt
