  1. Does this, or the F6F mod still work? I have them installed (one at a time) correctly. But the mission editor just locks up when I add it. And a Generated mission with the ac does not have the ac in the mission. (Yes it's set to Client or Player)..
  2. I went into the VIACOM 'Reset' tab and just checked 'Keywords'. Then clicked the 'Master Zero' button. That reset everything. You loose any custom keywords/aliases though.
  3. @western_JPN Thanks!! I was using the Static 'F/A-18c' . I changed it to the Lot 20 and now I can see all of the skins for that AC. Just one of my stupid mistakes! Arggg.. Thanks for all the info guys.. It really helped a lot.
  4. So, is there a way to copy a F/18c skin from my Saved Games/Liveries into the FA-18c_Hornet folder in Bazar? And it will be seen by the Static FA-18c as a livery? Because I just tried that, and it did not work. The skin is not in the list for the static.. I have a flyable FA-18c in a parking area, with other static FA-18c aircraft, and I just want them all to have the same skin...

  6. The User Files on the ED site does not have an option to filter skins for static objects. And I spent a while searching and finding nothing... Have Modders made skins for statics? If so, how do I find them??
  7. I had to slow that track down to record it in the track. If I pause the game to adjust the view, it does not record the paused part. No, I'm not using that mod. But I did just delete the contents of those shader folders and that seems to have fixed it. But in my other post about the Big Smoke effect, this did not fix that...
  8. * This is on the Sinai map.. Using Dust at the default level, which is just 984 feet, the clouds are still perfect blue. This also happens at higher visibilities. They should be tinted yellow by the dust I believe... ? * And the last two pics show the Static; Effect; Big Smoke not being effected by the Dust at all..
  9. This is on the Sinai map with the G. Washington carrier. in the F4 view I get this bow wave extending into infinity at certain angles. In the last pic you can see what looks like the stern wave doing the same thing..
  10. I first reported this way before MT. But yes, I just tested ST and it has the same issue. I noticed that if you set it to 0 it looks like it's about 1/2 the thickness of the 1 Full Black Smoke. This was on the Sinai map, where I noticed some other graphics problems.. I'll start a new post for those.. null
  11. The Big Smoke Effect Density has been broken for a long time. I think that I mentioned it maybe 5-6 months ago. It only accepts 0 or 1. It used to allow decimals between 0-1. It must be a simple thing to fix, since it used to work fine. But since it's been broken, you can only set it to 0 or 1. If you try to manually type in .5, it only takes the 5 and deletes the decimal. Then, when you press enter, it changes it to 1. It used to also allow for .1, .2, .3, .4, .5, .6, .7, .8, and .9
  12. Thanks Flappie! I was able to get it fixed by starting from a clean stock config folder, and adding my inputs and views folders into that. and some other files. Not sure what was causing it still..
  13. I got the last update and it fixed the long loading problem. I used DCS for a few hours that day. But today, I loaded DCS up and it would not load correctly. There was no DCS Splashscreen, and no game on the monitor. After an hour of research, I narrowed it down to the ..Saved Games\Config\appSettings.lua file. The first 4 lines get changed when the game first starts. windowPlacement = { ["y"] = -32000, ["x"] = -32000, ["w"] = 5120, ["h"] = 1440, I ran the Repair and ran the long one, and also removed any 'extra files'... I also renamed my ..Saved Games\DCS.openbeta folder to create a new fresh folder. None of this helped. When I have the appSettings.lua file open in Notepad++, I can actually see the ["x"] and ["y"] change from 0s to -32000 about 3 seconds after I launch the game!! Attached are the game longs.   15. Thanks for all of your hard work on this amazing tool!!! I'm having trouble installing the .vap file. I downloaded the .msi, and when I run it, I get the below message that I need to uninstall it first. But I have already backed up my current version and deleted it from the profiles folder. That folder is empty... And when I run setup.exe from the extracted VAICOMPRO folder, it says that it cannot find "VAICOM PRO for DCS World.msi". But the file is named 'VAICOM.PRO.for.DCS.World.msi', with all . periods between each word, not the spaces that the error message indicates. I have put the .msi in the extracted VAICOMPRO folder, and also in the parent folder, but I get the same error. Here is the install.log file: In what folder is it looking for the .msi file?? nullI've installed VAICOMPRO several times below, but I never noticed this setup.exe before. I usually just copy the exe; dll; documentation; & extensions into the VA\Apps\VAICOMPRO folder. I must be missing something here... Please Help!??
  16. UPDATE: Well, I was trying to get it to save my FOV value (*, /) setting. I swear that RAlt+Num0 used to save that as well as the head position (6DOF & Angles). But the only way I could get it to save the FOV was to manually edit the Snapview.lua in Saved Games/Config/Views, and edit item [13] .. viewAngle = 73.000000, for the FA-18_Hornet aircraft. I had calculated my HFOV to be 73 a few weeks ago using this HFOV calculator, to be 73. And nothing looks stretched at the edges of my screen anymore. Even though the VFOV is only 23 degrees, things look correct. I like my Samsung C9 monitor. But for DCS, or any simulator, I think an more rectangular aspect ratio would give you a better overall FOV.

  18. Thanks for the reply. Yes. I am able to save all Snapviews. Just not the default Cockpit view. Can you try to saved a default Cockpit view and see if RAlt+Num0 saves it??
  19. I have been doing this for years to set the default(spawn in position) cockpit view, and Snapviews. For Snapviews, you press Num0+Num? to select a snapview, and then customize it. Then press RAlt+Num0 to save it. That still works fine.. No problem there..... I have done this also for years to set the Default Cockpit view. Start a new mission, and as soon as you spawn in, before you change any views, customize your cockpit view (ie. zoom in out / *, Move your head- RCtrl+Shift+Numpad keys). Then to Save it, press RAlt+Num0. But that no longer works for me. I've tested it on the FA18, F16, & Harrier.. No Joy! I'm running the current OB MT or non-MT. I also read to press Num5 before you customize the view, then save it. I have never needed to do that before, but I tried it several times and it does not help.
  20. I found the problem... I use a program called DisplayFusion to add some extra features to the windows desktop. It has an option that moves the mouse cursor to the next monitor even when your mouse is not aligned near the transition between the two monitors. I had that on. I caused the External view to 'snap' to the next monitor when it was to the left or right of the other monitor. So the view jumped horizontally to the monitor, but the vertical was still basically smooth. Don't know if you follow that, but that's it..
