  1. I'm gonna take a stab and say MiG-23... kinda also based on the name of the images too...
  2. Well here's hoping the future holds a SCUD
  3. Maybe slightly premature pending their 3rd party status...
  4. Looks great, I can't wait to add these to my inventory. What safe the chances of you modeling a SCUD launcher as well? Would be a great addition for tactical targets
  5. Wish I would have run into you guys. You can't believe how excited I am for this module

    Real Pilots poll

About 2,600 hours, ATP, CFI, CFII, MEI, currently flying a Gulfstream G550
  7. That's interesting... I might have to ask you more about that
  8. Yeah, I'm definitely going to have to walk them in using visual references. One of the challenges is that different people might be using different terrain mods (for example I use Mustang's) so dirt roads in the texture pack or the color of a field can't be used. Luckily where I have the "camp" has an overpass and train tracks nearby... Typically, that's what I would do, and have done for other missions. In this case, the player is responding to a distress call and it's a "pop-up" sortie, so advanced briefing isn't available.
  9. LOL! We said the same thing, then posted a picture of a HUD from the same aircraft
  10. I think people's perception of what a HUD should look like is negatively affected by low-res videos and conflicting frame rates between the camera and the HUD combiner. We have a HUD in the jet I fly and while there is some "halo-ing" around the symbols, its a very crisp image. I think MYSE's rendition of it is slightly exaggerated, but feels organic and real, on the whole. Here's an example of what our HUD looks like in real life, taken by the guy sitting in the left seat while I was flying...
  11. I'm looking for inventive and realistic ways of guiding people to the specific target area, but without using things like red smoke or flares to make it too easy. For example, I'm in the early stages of making some REDFOR missions, and mission one is locating a convoy of stolen munitions and following it back to their camp/base. Once the convoy reaches the base, other ground assets (SAMs AAA) activate, forcing the player to attack. I want players to be able to locate the convoy and maintain a visual ID until they get to the "camp" which I've tried to make look realistic in that it doesn't stand out too much. I want to make it tough, but not impossible. On a side note, I'll be looking for voice actors for this one. I've never released a mission I've made before, so when I do, I want to make it as polished as possible and get constructive feedback from anyone who plays it... Thanks in advance!
  12. Just curious if work is still being accomplished on this mod? I've been having a blast populating airfields with the equipment. On a side note, do any of the objects have collision boxes and/or a "destroyed" state when attacked? I'm using some of the objects in my missions in target areas and want to make sure they're destroyed if hit...
  13. I'm very impressed and happy with all the "indie" third parties working on modules for DCS of different flavors and varieties. Been a few who have come out of the woodwork lately and it's very promising. Awesome work and keep it up!
  14. :megalol::music_whistling: ...I see what you did thwre
  15. I used to "simulate" failures of instruments on my students in difficult situations all the time. I never did it in actual because there's no reason for the increased risk to our lives (or my license!). Teaching single-engine and multi-engine instrument students was the most fulfilling part of my instruction career. I definitely miss it! On the other hand, here's me in my current ride and a shot someone got of us landing in London... (sorry for the OT)
  16. I wonder if the same can be done for an X55 grip? Would be a shame to shell all that money out for a TMW just to gut it...

    Request USAF Euro Camo

I vote the second, but then again... why NOT both?
  18. Two of my absolute favorite liveries. Nice! What are the chances of you finishing your "worn" Su-25 grey livery or doing a MiG-29 in the same current scheme? Great work!!
