  1. no it's just the fuel overflow vent, you'd be wasting a little bit more fuel that's all
  2. Just get close to the smoke and hover as low over the rocks as possible, but you gotta be stationery, so speed below 1 knots. You'll have plenty of time. The rebels never reached me during testing, I started to wonder if that trigger even works, so it's kinda good to hear it does.
  3. No idea maybe you're overboosting your engine at some point? Too much MP with too little RPM? Just a wild guess
  4. 10 degress clearing turn is a must but not more, if you deviate too much you’ll get a call. BRC always changes, it depends on the wind, so the ship will give it to you when you want to land. I don’t think you can know what the brc will be on recovery before you launch.
  5. It turns out the C17 that emits all voice overs just RTB-s even though it's told not to. I'll implement some workarounds for the next patch
  6. @Teeps many thanks for the kind words, I'm happy you enjoyed it. Bio wanted to make absolutely sure we do not disclose anything confidential, so we made sure the setups, procedures and the syllabus are as realistic as possible, but left it up to the player to come up with a solution to each problem. However, now I'm working on MIG Killers, an F-4 campaign recreating the first class of Topgun in March 1969. I found many sources about the lessons taught there, and tactics, so I'm sure you'll find it very informative. Oh, and believe it or not, back then, there was an A2G part of the syllabus too Oh, an if you haven't checked my latest video, an improvement is coming re the checklists in the campaign.
  7. Yeah I've seen that many times too. Please send the video to ED's AI programmer here: https://forum.dcs.world/forum/1185-aircraft-ai-bugs-non-combined-arms/ I don't have control over core AI behavior, you tell him to refuel, he does whatever he's programmed to do. Unfortunately they can be really dumb and blind
  8. Station = Wp1 & 2. A CAP. I checked the mission, if you heard 'we're on our way' then the trigger worked. Maybe you were too low or masked by a mountain to hear the awacs call (new DCS feature ) or you accidentally switched away from its frequency.
  9. You need to use the mic button of whichever radio is tuned there: Good luck!
  10. If this refers to the salute button, then the problem is this (potential workarounds in the below thread):
  11. Maybe once or twice with the stick over 2 years, but I can't say what was at fault. Since I got my new laptop it hasn't happened. I unplugged and replugged without quitting DCS and it worked fine.
  12. @Rudel_chw it does @SPR51 flying these missions without time acceleration is HARDCORE! I have 'accelerate time' and 'time normal' mapped to 2 joystick buttons. Careful, control inputs are accelerated too, but at 2-3x acceleration it's still easy to control and you'll save a lot of time.
  13. It won't say 2.0, I just call it that way Check the briefing of mission 1, there is a version number at the bottom. It should say 20240401 or something like that.
  14. Aaaand it's out! Just make sure you update your DCS to the latest version, and you'll have The Big Show 2.0
  15. Alright, this should be fixed (again) now after the latest update. Please let me know if you still experience anything strange. Let's hope Ugra will not change Kenley anymore.
  16. P-51D: The Blue Nosed Bastards of Bodney Campaign by Reflected Simulations ATC frequencies changed and corrected Spitfire IX The Big Show Campaign by Reflected Simulations Complete revamp of the campaign to version 2.0 Every mission uses historical locations now Mission historical inconsistencies fixed Mission timings adjusted based on further research Smoothened triggers More voice overs and sound effects added Reworked kneeboards and briefing visuals Corrected mission timings ATC frequencies changed and corrected yet again. DCS: P-51D Debden Eagles Campaign by Reflected Simulations ATC frequencies changed and corrected yet again. All takeoff sequences were reworked DCS: Fw 190 A-8 Horrido! 17. Until ED implements a saved games feature, I'm afraid it's not possible. You can use time acceleration though, to get back to the french coast.
  18. No, they can be added using triggers.
  19. @MAXsenna I rarely use those flashing boxes
  20. Did you use the salute button or the radio menu to launch?
  21. Actually your 2nd point made me think, and I came up with a solution that would be relatively easy to implement. A few hours work. So any time during the briefing you can skip it. Although I HIGHLY recommend not to do it (if you messed up it's probably because you missed something important), but when you refly the mission for the 4th time it's a welcome addition. I'll add this feature to MIG Killers too. Thanks for the idea!
  22. @seprudathanks for the feedback. I totally see whant you mean, and these are the downsides of military aviation. Lots of repetitive tedious procedures and then a little bit of fun/terror. I actually enjoy the admin parts a lot this campaign was built in cooperation with Bio, a RL Topgun instructor and he wanted to make sure we don’t publish amy classified information anout tactics and weapons. Which is quite understandable. this being said, if you play Speed n Angels first, Paco will teach you a lot about basic combat tactics, and Zone 5 will make a lot more sense after that one. Also, I’m working on MIg Killers, a Topgun 1969 campaign which will havy PLENTY of tactics training, specific maneuvers, etc…which will also help a lot. I agree a savegame feature would be great. This is why I set up SnA - and MIG killers in separate mission files for the engagements, so they can be repeated indefinitely. and yes, as @draconus said above there are 3 airstart practice missions in the campaign’s folder for you to practice without having to go theough the admin part
  23. Those Tomcat loadouts were pretty common in the late 80s. Check out Bio’s pics. the Hornets, don’t worry about them, I gave them whatever the AI needed to carry out the tasks they should be out of sight anyways
